Wow, those are some gorgeous sceneries. How long did this hike take you to get to Lyman Lake and how much weight is your pack? I'd love to plan a hike there for 2025.
My total moving time, out and back, was 12 hours, so figure 6 hours each way. I probably had about 40 pounds in my pack. Be prepared for the worst mosquito swarms ever at Lyman.
What was your impression of the campsites @11:45? I have a trip out there coming up and was planning on staying in the meadow the first night, but those spots look much cooler.
I would highly recommend staying at the 11:45 area, as opposed to the meadow. You will have glorious views of the valley, a stream and waterfall next to camp, and no bugs. Its an epic spot.
Some really breathtaking vistas and mountain streams. You really get out there!
