Today's bible study is definitely not an easy one to talk about. Jealousy and envy are both toxic feelings to harbor in our hearts. This bible study on jealousy and envy will hopefully be useful in combating both of those toxic feelings. God wants us to be happy for others when they're blessed. Much like forgiveness, overcoming jealousy and envy can be a process but as long as you are dealing with jealousy, then the battle is halfway won. Bible study with me in my bible study journal :)

It's hard to be jealous of someone when you're praying for them to be blessed as well.
Problem is this person is already more than blessed, more blessed than us. That's the tricky thought that prevents us to pray for them with all our heart
The purity of heart's matters when serving the Lord to be blessed
When GOD blesses those that don't deserve it, it displays GOD'S grace, goodness, patience, mercy and love. God doesn't just do good to those who do good. If we got everything we prayed for everyone would pray. If everyone who went through church got rich EVERYONE would go. GOD is showing us who is who. People with character can be happy for others when they receive even the blessings they want

Yess !! The heaviness that i feel because if that feels horrible !! I just wish i didn’t feel this way !! Especially because everyone Shames & look down upon people who feel jealousy & envy
Amen! Jealousy makes you think and do things that make no sense. It is the work of the devil. It makes you forget God gives you your own lane. Comparison is the quickest way to invite ungratefulness and the devil in.

I try very hard not to be jealous of anybody. Or anything. I'm asking myself if I have had experienced in a jealousy that I could remember. Jealousy can creep up on you You can notice something and and somebody and feel like as if by comparison.wow guess I'm good cant think of one.
My husband tells me I am jealous but the things that he did in the past I'm holding on, although he asked God forgiveness my mind gets so corrupt with all sorts of negativity.Thank God for your teaching.

I find control is the first thing to jealousy and some people want you to be stuck,pray for everyone and prophecy good things in other people life,otherwise it still haunts you back.let other learn their lesson stop controlling others life coz of jealousy.for you will whither

It’s soo hard to Love someone who hurt you. Like I feel Jealous when I see them happy because I feel like they don’t deserve it when they hurt me so bad. I feel like they can be happy but I need to be happier
Yes I can totally relate, it's very hard. But God gives us strength to change our hearts if we lean on Him 💗
I’m jealous of someone because I can slowly see my bestfriend drifting to him, this is wrong, I’m aware, I’m trying to fix myself. Give me an open heart and bigger perspective in my situation, Lord.

I have done that too...wonder why he blessed certain celebs with so many riches...or so much of their WANTS...but you’re right, it’s none of my business.
It’s a very human thing to compare ourselves to others. I’m in the process of losing weight, and I just had to unfollow all these fitness people on IG so I can focus on my own journey instead of other people’s journey. I still follow a few because they inspire me, but my feed is a lot lighter...and I compare myself way less.
Sometimes you have to be deliberate in these things. Again, jealousy is in our human nature, so sometimes you have to work at NOT being jealous...put things in place to rid that from your heart...like what I did with IG.

I need prayer. I know this girl at work. Im not sure if i like her more than a friend. I see her talking to this guy and something in me became jealous. Im sure why? Its confusing. Why i felt this way. She acts different when he comes around. I dont know what to do or say. Im not even sure i like her. I know God says jealousy is not good. I know i dont like this feeling.

I don’t think questioning him is wrong per say. It’s more about the approach and motive. I question some of the things God does (like the current state of the world), but my motive is to learn whatever he’s trying to teach us. What I am not doing is questioning his goodness because he IS good.

Hey! I’m so glad God led me to this video and this message. I feel better now. I was upset about not getting into a desired college and even though it had nothing to do with other people’s education but I was envious of how my cousins are having a gala time in their lives and bonfires and stuff. Idk what happened but I stumbled from faith into envy. But I did find you because jealousy is an opposite of love. I was trying to record what the opposite of love was. I heard it in a sermon and a person said that the opposite of love of love was something else. I knew he was wrong I just couldn't right away remember what the opposite was. Now I remember it's jealousy

There is a certain people that have gotten to be oh so annoying - because of their jealousy !!! I can't work, live, or exist around them because they don't understand that what they want from others is not their problem. The female or male that traps you in her inadequacy, fears, and insecurity is SO ANNOYING!!!!! Jealousy will have you tracking, monitoring, lying, and causing problems for someone. People think Im on earth to be subject to their jealousy and Im really mad at them. I hate that the negative feelings of others keeps interferring in my life!

How do you protect yourself from someone wishing bad luck on you or other people? She has said this to me she claims she goes by the bible but yet she makes people jealous on purpose and also lies a lot. I don't want to be in contact with this person but I also want to have a channel too.

within the first 2 33 mins was me.I have a best friend that is the human manifestation of what I always wanted in a wife loves God, has your back, can cook, good humour, and as a bonus beautiful outwardly. Guy after guy proposed to her and no no no nope. till this guy from Afirca God chose. Our friendship is anointed even had a vision from God not some manifestaion from me. That we are running down the highway of life hand in hand. so fast it made the cars around seem to be standing till into pure light. Men have hated our friendship. trying to rip us apart. even the guy who is being trained to become her hubby who prayed partitions in heaven ( which we could feel it towards our frienship) and her witchcraft ex, who attacks us daily.
. and yeah i had mad animosity for him being chosen and still seem like no matter what he does he'll still end up with the prize. Then a turn of events, i used to say that this was a bad joke. for yrs i would pray for a companion. as you said just for someone else to seemingly have what it seemed as if i prayed for for decades. Then a curve ball. the same guy that God chose. due to a lil too freindly meets on web cam with my best friend Jeliah. Now God has me to train as a prophet. I'm like no animosity, im like surely this is God saying try this joke. God removed it, the animosity jealousyn yet it still ops up. im in tears that I don't want to be Jealous and be looked at by God as a villain . especially going as far as hoping at times maybe it wont work, thats not Godly. So hhhhhhhh, yeah i know how it feels.

I have a jealousy. It's about my husband. I'm sorry it took me so long to remember. Yes. I love my husband very dearly. And when other female women try to take my husband's attention from me. I become very jealous. Very very jealous. He gives his attention To other women charming I feel the fire rise from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. I fantasize about taking him to an island where nobody is at and having My husband all to myself. I love him so much. But when other women try to move in on my husband I have jealousy That daggers from my eyes
I have not ever been jealous, yet the jealous watch over me and desire to use me. It makes my skin crawl because they feel comfortable showing their jealousy. Jealousy is a sin. It is not God like. How do I get rid of this evil ..it is holding up my life. It's so ignorant.

What about the people who intentionally make you jealous ?
You are in charge of your own feelings, nobody else is. You have to take accountability and ownership of those feelings and turn jealousy into gratitude for what God has done for you. I hope I explained that OK. God bless you

Praise the Lord. Superficial blessings is an important point we must trust in the Lord and there is a reason for what he is doing. How about being jealous of someone (cousin) who has the love of my mother (niece) having done nothing for it; while I have to work (please my mother - do all she says) to get her love?
Think this is the jealousy not spoken about often - when what is yours is taken away/not given, then witness - mother has the capacity to love, just not for me 💔❤️🩹
This form I grieve, turn and give it to Holy Spirit, so God's love can be shed abroad in my heart Rom 5:5
