Been using this webcam on my keyboard build streams for the last couple of months as a facecam that can quickly turn into a desk cam and it's been a game changer. A solid performer out of the box and I have nothing negative to say about it. Happy to see it get more recognition, specially from Brian!
I’ve watched so many of these insta 360 videos, when they first came out my feed was full of them, definitely one of the best reviews, clear concise and honest.Transparency on sponsorship is also appreciated.Have stopped watching some larger “unboxing” channels due to clear sponsorship driven content.Keep up the good work!
You have sold me on a lot of products, but you have never made me want something as badly as I want this, holy shit. Thanks so much for the feature breakdown and comparisons to proper professional camera setups. I think those elements of this review really tell the story of how high quality this thing is. Great work dude, and I loved this style of video. Felt super genuine and conversational
Had seen a couple of sponsored videos about this camera already,, and was impressed with what I had seen. But your's was [obviously] better... Now I'm even more impressed with what this little camera can do!
Been eyeing this for a minute! I just didn’t think quality would be up to my standards, but guess I was wrong lol. Mad respect that your soo picky with sponsor deals. You always have seemed trustworthy through camera but 2 deals only?! That’s another level of integrity lol
I've been wanting to add a webcam to my monitor for some time for basic video calls. While this is a bit pricey for my use-case, it's nice knowing that webcam tech is getting better. I feel like all the webcams I've ever used have been exactly the same as the one I had in my first laptop I bought in 2004.
Dude, love your channel. Don't always agree (I think the razer 75% v4 pro wireless is excellent), but you crack me up. Love the "I never hear" comment. Keep it real and stay you. That's why I watch.
AW HECK this is exactly what I need right now. My current setup is really clunky to set up and tear down, this will make recording way easier. Just bought it bro, thanks!
Man this video solidified me getting this thing instead of wasting money on a pro camera setup. Very solid webcam and I love that you can set shutter speed and iso in software, thats great. Super feature packed for the price. Great review as always, studio is looking killer!
I got one of these when they first came out and have been convincing people to get one ever since! This replaced a whole bunch of gear for me and even added features in terms of work. Another really cool thing is the top down feature. I use it for work all the time and it's absolutely impressive
can it film at 1080p at 60fps? and yeah the quality and focusing seems to be looking somewhat close to my sony a6400, which is a really high bar to meet. Good stuff as always badseed.
Just wanted to share that I personally really wanted to get this webcam. But I found out, to get most of the features, you need to download the software it provides. There are reports that the terms and conditions when downloading and using the software, allow them to see all incoming and outgoing traffic for your computer. Because of this, I had to look elsewhere. Tbh, it's disappointing because this webcam does seem amazing.
I’m with the top comment guy - I don’t really need something this feature-packed for the little that I use webcams…but I really, really, *really* want it after this video. What an awesome piece of tech.
I've been using this cam for the past month, and it's great, the only BIG issue to me is that on Discord video call, the quality is only at 720p ( While my previous cam the Elgato facecam was at 1080p ) and you can't change that, so I don't know if it's a discord thing or the cam itself..
Sat on this for a few weeks and just grabbed one. Thank you again for yet another great, honest review and for the Affiliate discount! Continued success brother.
@@badseedtech what’s his discord handle? I’ll have to delete one of the 100 keyboarding and audio discord channels (I’ve needed to clean house for months and this is the perfect excuse!) I have since I’m not paying for Nitro just to make my collection problem worse. Lmao.
@@badseedtech also….do you have a public (or “free”) discord? The only link I see is one through Patreon. I really don’t want to pay a monthly subscription to ask someone about a book. Is that the only discord you have?
@@h1ddens0ng He had a public Discord awhile back, but he moved to a Patreon-only one as of a few months ago. Iirc, he said the main reason was he couldn't devote as much time to communicating in the public Discord as he would have liked, because there were far too many people in there to make such a thing possible without sacrificing considerable amounts of his time from doing other things (like make videos, etc)
@@Chozo_Ghost yeah I got it. Just not going to spend $5 to ask a question. Seems predatory to me. You hire mods with a public discord. Many people will do it for free especially given Brian’s popularity. Oh well, just another thing on “the list”. I appreciate the attempt to explain.
My dream and wish for Insta360 is a "pro" version of this that's more like the old osmo cameras. Keep the webcam functionality and the AI features, but make way for a bigger sensor and lens (could a man dream for a 4/3 sensor and a bright lens?), maybe add some "pro" features like more control or options for changing between those positions and put log, add luts to it, let it record log and output graded footage... That would truly be cheat code for creators, and not just solo ones! Have it be both a end-game webcam and a camera that you can take with you and create.
it is very impressive, but I 've seen negative reviews that it is getting very hot, even when not in use, with the base that contacts the monitor (if you put it there) over 45C. Have you noticed anything like this ?
Guess I'll sell my Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra and get the Link instead. I am normally quite satisfied with it in terms of image quality but the autofocus on the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra is so bad, atricous one could say. When you're showing unboxings etc. it's really bad because the autofocus is slow and inconsistenr (also focus hunting a lot). Guess I should have watched this video before I pulled the trigger. 😅
It’s nice if you have a company that allows for you to have Chinese software I bought this and ended up having to resell it due to not having the ability of downloading the Chinese software needed to run it. This is not a plug-in play. WebCam, it does obviously require a driver. Be aware of the Chinese software needed.
Love your video but i gotta say im not a big fan of your broad spectrum of tech products. I think its better to do it like boardzy and specialize in a certain niche because then you can give way better reviews because you have the inventory to make proper comparisons. In this case it would have been better if you do videos about webcams like Harris Heller which has a large quantity of webcams and can show all the current ones side by side which makes the viewer experience and the consumers decisions making way better since you can see the differences immediatly. Im saying this because even though one should see the product alone and praise or condemn it for its features, it is sadly not released in a vacuum. So even if you praise this product its kinda meaningless if you dont have anything to compare it with, even though you put it next to a standalone camera, it doesnt really matter since people would be in the market for a webcam in the first place. So all in all it is a good review for the webcam if it were in a vacuum but it is not and therefore i feel like it is kinda misrepresenting the webcam market competition a little but thats just my opinion
Yeah this is a cop. In a market where webcams have been underwhelming for years, this is honestly a huge next step. Insane video as always.
Second this. Webcams have been stagnant since the 2000's.
A cop? Wtf does that mean?
@@Drewsterman777 a pick up, an instant buy etc. Sorry lol

And I thought webcams were boring... until now. Impressive quality and the tracking is very cool. Might get one :D
Insta 360 link is on my wishlist since months now it's such a capable tiny powerhouse.

It gets warm, but no more so than the Kiyo Pro Ultra and not as hot as the Facecam Pro
interested til i saw that price tag!!!
£303 in the UK, bit of a stretch for 4K@30fps. Logitech/Nvidia Broadcast have face tracking built in. The gimble is cool though.
Digital face tracking doesn't look as good, at all
If you don't need the gimbal and tracking features, get the Razer kiyo pro ultra.
So wild to me that DJI did not embrace this when their OSMO pocket could have done this years ago, if they chose to.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
you impressed me too
Sure the camera is good, but I think the real question we need to be asking is...... how do you get your beard so perfect
This is worth $300 given the impressive tech. But if the barrier of entry was closer to $200, it would take over the webcam industry.
So the only thing they could stand to upgrade is the mic. Yeah, that's a pretty damn good webcam then.
Did you just flex on us? :D
I like, and want this camera, but I can't use it. I use Linux and it does not support Linux. Furthermore, I work from home.
If I could get this with the sensor from the elgato 4k webcam I would never need a real camera again

I wish it had Windows Hello support.
Yep, now give the Ai robots the ability to see and track your movement in your own home. Yayyy.
