@AMH9217 yeah man diesels are common there but we have them here aswell...the locomotives in these vid's were Amtrak AEM7AC's and Septa AEM7's..these units were designed by Asea and built by Electro motive divison...thts were u get AEM from..the 7 stands for the 7,000 hp they develope...Amtrak rebuilt all their units to AC spec's while the septa ones remaine straight DC..Atlas makes these units in HO scale for both Amtrak/septa...amtrak phase 3 & 4 i am not sure if they make em in this paint

@Wingnutcaseman yeah i noticed he wasn't stopping..thses sets ( Limiteds) i call them...i know they also go by the name Great Valley flyer but when i was little i would always hear people say the limited so i've called it tht ever since..lol they always stop at exton from what i've seen..amtrak stores equipment in thorndale..either the ballest trains layover there or they store track mow..yep i love the smell of brakes..not the newer ones tht smell like rubber...those give me a headache..lol

@AMH9217 i think the Amtrak AC version develope's higher HP then the septa ones....Asea also made the NJT Alp 44 which is the based off of another Swedish electric..the AEM y's are based off of the RC 4 i am not sure what the ALP 44's are based off of..atlas makes those units aswell septa has only one ALP 44...all their AEM7's they have they brought from amtrak..i think they brought the ALP 44 new of used from NJT..but i am not sure on tht

@tazamack oh yeah true plus since they are AC now they are more realible..Amtrak needs to rethink about buying these new ASC64 units with crash safty tech...i hope the AEM7AC's are around for a few more years before the new units are put into service

The eastbound SEPTA train that doesn't stop around 3:30 of the video is a deadhead to Frazier Yard. No equipment is stored at Thorndale. And I have to second your comment on the smell of the break shoes. Every now and then someone on a push pull train will say they smell burning rubber and wonder if there is a fire.
