  • Who else is like me out there... when it comes to ATV shocks... those things are a complete mystery. I've never been inside one. I've never had a spring off one. If I want to make one look nicer, I'm in there flossing the spring with a rag and brushes and good enough is good enough. Heaven forbid if one needs to be rebuilt... that's just a bundle of black magic that I'll never know...
Well... not anymore!! My good buddy Patrick Farnum pulls back the curtain for us and reveals all the mysteries of the ATV shock world. We find out what's inside... how it works... what to do and what not to do! This is Part 1 of a 3 part series: Disassembly / Tear Down. These things are complex and there's a lot to know with these, but after this video, you'll know enough to be dangerous! Well, dangerous, or empowered!
Watch as Pat breaks things down step by step for us to teach us all the mysteries of the ATV shock!

Amazing! Wow. Preston making me feel guilty for spending 30 minutes taping up/taping off my big red rear shocks and spraying them and making them look beautiful from 5 ft.

Hey man, I've been there!! I didn't know how easy it was to get things apart! Prior to this video, I'd never even had the spring off a shock before.
