That was great!!!👊🏻 Spike & his new home!! Looks like he has adapted pretty well!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
Poor tortoise looks so Mal-nurtured… “these stupid things”
I have a sulcata tortoise about 3 years now soon will be transferring him to an outdoor enclosure as well and im not anywhere capable of craftsmanship 🤣 so thank-you!
Love the amphibian blog love the tortoise keep it up pool jet
You should make a separate tank for the bass or put a hide in there for him so he isn’t just out in the open 24/7 and might feel less stressed if it shows any signs of stress
Are you putting a cover on it? Are you not worried about birds snakes...neighbors dogs that get loose?
Hey man I don't want to sound like that guy yes I do I actually enjoy all your videos but me as a tortoise 🐢 enthusiastic this enclosure is decent Mann your biggest problem with the enclosure is that you need to make it at least 5 times bigger and add plants Alot of plants to the point we're you can't even see the tortoise anymore so it can feel secure so like add bushes
You’re all good my man I actually ended up moving from that house and I knew I wasn’t going to be long so I didn’t want to go over board his new enclosure is 3x the size and plants and trees are on the way! 👍🏼
@@PoolJet man I would love to see a update I actually breed this particular species of tortoise I own 43 adult Redfoots in my backyard
@@crazycreed6675 where are you from? Do you have any social apps like instagram, facebook etc. I would love to see
Love the content man, I’ve been binge watching your channel😂
Your red foot has a deformed shell. Do you have proper lighting and nutrition?
Hell be outside.
You obviously didn't watch the entire video as he literally talks about this.
My favorite part was me having to skip all the talking to show my brother the tortoise because he is buying one
@Pool Jet you should check out the channel Camp Kenan for more info about your Tortoise with building/making an enclosure.
Oooohhhhhh !!!!!
Yyyyeeeeaaahhhhhhh !!!!!
LOVE IT !!!
Your tortoise needs a friend👍👍👍👍👍💗💗💗💗
Should set up a 24/7 live stream for him
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing
You should add some moist moss in the house for spike i saw kamp kennan do that so just whanted to let you know
That’s awesome #teamspike
Is he suffering, damn that shell
Kevin is still a Gangster. Welp, nothing clever today. So ya.. love your vids guy.
first half of video.. feeding fishing and talking about guns -.-
Your tortoise is going to be like this guy knows what’s sup he build me a house for me
Hooo yeahhhhh
If you don't put a hot wire around the enclosure or put a wire lid on it, a raccoon will 100% smoke him.
Mine is half the size of his tortoise, and i have him in a larger enclosure with no lid. Never had any predator problems
been keeping tortoises for a long time and i regularly have raccoons on my property and they’ve never once messed with my tortoises
@@Rknowles813 so you're lucky? I'm happy for you.
@@dr.henrykillinger1027 I've had them chew the legs off my rescues, so...I guess because it never happened to you, that's empirical evidence vs circumstantial?
9:14 damn Kevin walks?
MWhy would you build an enclosure when you have that big ass backyard? Just let the poor thing walk around your backyard freely. It will try to climb anyway and flip, so you better leave it in your backyard and make sure there's good fencing. Don't forget to add humidity to the soil with a hose, this species needs humidity and tropical temperatures between 20 to 30 degrees, so if it doesn't rain frequent you'll probably want to water the soil everyday, and if it snows you will want to have it inside with heating because low temperatures can kill them (so do extremely hot temperatures).

I've never seen a redfoot that incredibly deformed, you mention it's because of a birth defect but I wonder how it didn't get better throughout the years. It can probably still improve a bit as it isn't fully grown yet. Take it regularly to the vet, they will be able to help.
Thank you for the concerns! Temperature I live in south Florida so this is about as close as “home” as he could be, since he has is defect he cannot climb as well and he is shorter than he looks on camera but I keep a very close eye on him. My yard isn’t fenced in yet so this is just his temporary enclosure, i spray him down everyday and give him fresh food and water. His shell actually has improved quite well over the years, I am buddy’s with Kamp Kenan and he has been the one advising me for some questions I run into if any. Hope this clears up any questions!
bro diggs
Bro any one saying you don't take care of your animals is a crack smoker...dude, at the end of the vid I swear Spike was smiling..lol..besides watching out for ole Rickys, keep a look out for neighbor Karens "house cats" that miraculously escape the house at exactly 6:30 every evening..lol
That’s all I get at BK…no mayo.
lemone
You gotta get an air rifle for raccoon duty Neighbors would never know. That’s what I use
Turtles can breathe from their butt
First person here😂
Don’t by plants from stores unless you know they aren’t fertilised!!!!! They can be harmful for your tortoise.
Why is this called ultimate? Its not near large enough and about another dozen issues. Bad husbandry
Watch out for predators
Get spike a friend
You should rather keep rocking horse...! Poor red foot...! :(
My god, hold the camera still. I'm about to vomit. lol. But good content.
Thanks for showing us your turtle enclosure. Are you afraid he will dig his way out? I had an enclosure somewhat like that for my box turtles, and they dug underneath the wall and escaped!
By the way, I’m an old grandma, and I was just wondering what kind of job you have that pays you well enough to live in the house you live in and take care of your pets as you do? After all, we don’t want these kids out here thinking that everyone can make a living making turtle and fish videos. That’s just not realistic!
Yes! He can dig, but I’m just going to keep and eye on him to make sure if he is digging then I can either fill the holes back in or do something to prevent it. My job is exactly this believe it or not, I film and edit these videos and it pays for all of my animals and the house! It’s a dream come true!
@@PoolJet
Well, that does sound like a dream come true! You’re lucky, and I hope you realize it! 😉 Keep on doing what you do…..
Morrocoys
Idk if I've ever seen a more fucked redfoot. Needs a better diet and way more sunshine. He can definitely climb out of that btw
You did a lot of paying attention! He was born with a shell deformation from the eggshell being stuck to him. Nobody thought he would live yet I’ve been able to have him live for over 8 years. He has a massive variety in his diet and gets 9-10 hours of sunlight which is a little low but not enough to cause any harm. I appreciate the advice?
My redfoots barely get sunshine (they hate sun), yet they have a perfectly healthy shell with no pyramiding. This is clearly something else.
@@PoolJet That doesn't look like something that he was born with. Looks like MBD. Lack of proper light, humidty, diet, calcium. etc.
@@Papapapapa78 This looks like something like MBD.
Baby tortoise all have the yolk attached to the bottom of their shell when born. It looks like a deformity but they use it for extra nutrients. If you scrape it off the bottom shell in can cause deformation!
Too much shade. Poor tortoise
Hey gets around 9-10 hours this time of year later in the year it will up to around 11-12 hours so it is a little low but should be no problem from it.
Lol, it's definitely not the shade. Redfoots love the shade and will hide from the sun. It's actually bad for them if you put them directly in the sun all day.
