Also, Jesus LITERALLY is the Word of God, the Law of God, in the flesh. So, to deny his divinity and messianic mission is to deny the Word through which all of the universe was created.

      Dave R
Yes the definition of fulfill is to magnify it and make it honorable. To expand it to its fullness.
      It never says its abolished.
The law that was nailed to the cRoss, was the law of Sin and Death.
When you put your Faith in Jesus, His Blood ATONED for your sin and you NO longer have to die the second death because of your sin.
      Jesus overcame death for us.
Not even the law of sin and death was abolished. But if you put your life in the Service of Yeshua, then that death penalty is
Nailed to the cross (Jesus was nailed to the cross).
We receive eternal life through Jesus.
No law was abolished, not one letter of one word. NONE of it. Not one word. Jesus was the living Word.

I am from Afghanistan and I was a muslim. Whenever I did something bad, the elders called me “O Yahood O nasara” meaning “O Jewish O Christian”. I was learnt to hate jewish and Christians. The Great “I AM” has set me free and I so love the jewish people. I have a very special love toward the people who The Great “I AM” choose to reveal himself. A son is given to us - Immanuel - in the cross of Jesus Christ - the Great “I AM” has shown His ultimate love - deep love - to mankind, not only to the Jewish. The Great “I AM” promised Abraham to be the father of many - He promised to bless Abraham and make him successful in life. He promised Abraham to bless the world through him. I think we have a ✅ on all that. Thousands year later, literally over 50% of people on the face of earth know the name of Abraham. He is the only person who become a nation hehe. ✅ on Abraham being successful and ✅ on The Great “I AM” being trustworthy. A son is given to us - and in the Logos we find this:
      ✅ sins being paid for.
✅ receive The Holy Spirit who leads us to all truth. He who knows the heart of the Great “I AM”.
✅become a true son of God. A brother to Jesus. A member of the family- the family of the Great “I AM”.
✅eternal life. Salvation is a gift, received.
      NB!!!!!!!!
there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved.
Every Homo sapiens need Jesus Christ. There is not even one righteous - all has sinned - the writer of the psalms says; I was born a sinner.
      EVERY HOMO SAPIENS NEED JESUS.
      DESPERATELY!
apart from Jesus - Homo sapiens are in REAL danger of going to what we call hell- whatever it means - a baaad place- an ugly place - as ugly as the face of the Son on the Cross. People didn’t dare to watch Him - He was beaten for us - in His wounds have we found healing - healing of mind - healing of Heart - healing of love - healing of hope - He is the TRUE lamb of God - Thank You Jesus! Thank you 🙏 Thank You for giving your life for me. Knowing how loved I am in You - has healed many of my wounds. Thank you for eternal life. Thank you for making me strong to filter my thoughts - thank you for making me physically strong - thank you that I have always had the blessings in you. Thank you for choosing me before the creation to become like my buddy- Lord Jesus Christ. I love you man. I really want to love you. We can love him because He has FIRST loved us. I hope I one day meet Mr. Shapiro. You have been a great inspiration for me personally. You are one of my great Heros 😊. I love you. I love Joel Osteen. I love Mr. MacArthur. I love Rick Warren. I love Joseph Prince. I love David Wood. I love Andy Stanley. I love Joyce Meyer. I love oneforIsrael.org boys. I have learnt so much from you guys. Just remember; I can F*** you all in one to one fight - in many ways. Just warning hehe - I am 180cm, and 80kilo, strong as f***. - anyway Have a great day.
      Have you received Jesus Christ?
I hope so. If not. Do you want to receive Him? If yes. Please say this prayer with me: Dear The Great “I AM”. I am small. You big. Your thoughts are not mind thoughts say. You the creator. Me the creation. Humble coming to you Jesus. Please bless me too with whatever you have blessed this Afghan guy. Amen. And I pray that the Great “I AM” bless you all with Ephesians 1:17 in Jesus Mighty Name🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤

@Mad Dog Avraham Lol exactly that why He gave His commandments "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shill love the Lord your God with all your heart. with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength! For this is the greatest commendment." And thy shall love thy neighbor as I have love you; He was talking about man, that He created, killing one another, going to war against one another and saying they did it in the name of God, this is the sacrifice He was talking about, human beings killing other human beings and they say that they do it in the name of God as a sacrifice to God, that is defiling God's Holy nature! This is the reason Jesus came to be a pattern, mould, and a base, that He came as the sacrifice lamb of God, to show us mercy, and to teach us how to deny ourselves and to live to the ways of God! Which is to put on the humanity of Jesus by emptying ourselves out and having the mind that was in Jesus. That why Jesus said "Tell me what it means I prefer mercy and not sacrifices! So therefore Jesus was the perfect sacrifice of God!

The way I see it, if you base your belief in Christ only after working out every little detail and concluding every argument, that's not the way it's meant to be. Jesus himself stated some very strange things, that threw those people off who relied on reasoning before they believed. John 6:30, they ask, what will You do to prove You are who You appear to be. He proceeds in a bit to explain that they must eat Him, because He is the Bread of Life. So, disconcerted, many left him, even people who claimed to be His disciples(other than the 12) (John 6:66). It's like whenever people wanted to reason their way into believing, Jesus gave their logic a blow, and shook them and most fell away, till what was left was only those who believed Him from their heart(think: child like faith). John 6:67-69 where Jesus asked if the 12 disciples wanted to leave, but Peter responds that they have no where to go because they believed they had found the Messiah.
      I like that.

Mizan... Hi. Great question! What is your frame of thought, when asking this question? Did God literally conceive a child, or Did God make Jesus, like he did when creating Man in his image? Are you asking if God had a wife? If you are answering yes, then NO ONE, and NO religion knows THAT, in that perspective! If you are asking if Jesus is the Son of God, then the scriptures tell of such. Also, why do I believe it? I believe in truth, and facts. The Bible has already been proven, and we today, still HAVE those written manuscripts of the Bible that we can, and have examined. Personally, I have a connection with God, through prayer, what I ask about, and pray for, DOES happen! The Bible Lives! God Lives; Jesus Lives!

There are thousands of manuscripts, including the Dead Sea scrolls that prove it. "What we do with Jesus" does not distinguish between the Jewish and Christian faith! It does distinguish between " Saved and Lost"! The distinguishing factor between the Jewish and Christian faith is simply that the Jews faith require "works" ( sacrifices) ; the Christian faith is based on just that: Faith and Faith alone! The work was done on the Cross of Calvary! Any Jew or Gentile can come to Jesus Christ just by faith on His finished work on the Cross! That is why He said 'It is finished'! He became our "rest"; no more works! As born again believers, we do not work to be saved, we work as led of the Holy Spirit! He is our righteousness! The blood was applied over the door post in the OT! Today when one becomes a "believer", the blood of Jesus is applied and the sins are covered! When God looks at me, He sees the blood of Jesus Christ because I have accepted His sacrifice on the Cross as payment for my sin debt! All to Him I owe! In honor for what He has already done, I want to live my life to please Him! The Holy Spirit that Jesus gave to me at my "New Birth"does all the work through me! That's why the Bible says" you have no need that man teach you"! The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your guide, your comforter, your everything!! He is all in all! When one realize the blessings of salvation, how can that one not accept Jesus Christ! A giving up of eternal damnation for eternal life! All because of God's Amazing Grace! That is why it is AMAZING!!! The Sacrifice has been made ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Oh I know what you mean! It often makes me cry too, when I hear people start believing in Jesus. I don't even expect it, I smile… and smile... and then as soon as they say it - bam, I break down.
I had decided to move to Japan (not very soon though) to spread the Gospel there. At one point I started wondering if God was into it too, or if it was just my wish that I wove for myself. So I spend some time in prayer for that. During that period I watched this one video about Christians in Japan and what they felt before finding Christ and how they found Christ. Man, I was c r y i n g! I was crying so much I had to pause the video so my eyes clear up and I can continue watching, but as soon as I read a few more lines of the subtitles my crying intensified again and my vision was again too blury to read. So again I would pause, cry it out, press play, cry harder, press pause, etc. :D

The Pastor is talking utter nonsense, but its because of categorical ignorance. The verse in Genesis says 'let us make a man in our image', only fools interpret this to mean a physical form. What it really means is that in this context 'image' means 'in likeness', which means that God wanted to create humans that will be capable to do acts of kindness and benevolence. Just like God feeds the hungry, clothes the naked, and cares of the poor, so too man should be like God in this sense. Any attribution of physicality is blasphemous in Judaism as God had said it openly and clearly on Mount Sinai in the Ten Commandments:
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
If God was a physical image why should he command the Jews not to make an image out of him? Clearly, Christians have no idea what they are talking about. Its all wrong, they got everything wrong and mixed up. Also you have to understand one more important thing, the Jewish Bible is called Torah which in Hebrew means teaching. The entire Torah is there to teach us. What does the Torah teach us when it says 'Let us make a man in our image'? It doesnt mean that God is having a conversation with himself or his other parts. God has no parts. Only physical things have parts. It is a cardinal and categorical requirement the ABC of Judaism to believe that God is only one, and with no divisions. So when God says 'let us' he is teaching us a lesson that even the Great should at timesconsult and ask for advice from the lesser. In this context He was talking to the angels as if to teach us moral and ethical conduct, that even the wisest should consult. That it, God doesn't really need permission to do anything as it says in.Ecclesiastes 8:4 "inasmuch as a king’s command is authoritative, and none can say to him, “What are you doing?”. God does't need anyone's permission but he does teach us that even the Great should consult the lesser.
As to the Christians 'inventing' the idea of 'The spirit of the Law', now that's a bunch of hogwash. I wonder where did they lose this teaching when they were butchering and pillaging round about at anywhere they set foot? raping, and pillaging anyone who simply didn't want to convert? Were they following 'The Spirit of the Law' when God said Thou Shall not Murder' when they left a trail of blood criss crossed on 3 continents , Asia, Europe and Africa for over a Thousand Years?
Where was Christianity's so called 'Spirit of the Law' when over 10,000 Jewish Sacred Writings where gathered in the Notre Damm Cathedral and burnt publicly in 1242?
This arrogant pastor calling the High Priest who served in the Temple on Yom Kippur a butcher. He has the audacity to call God's chosen High Priest, who has done his will and followed his holy commandments of performing the sacred rituals in the Holy of Holies, a Butcher. Yet he calls his Christian murderers, rapists, thieves, arsonists, conquerers and oppressors as following the 'Spirit of the Law'... can you get the picture now of how much perversion of reality this idiotic priest is spewing?
God had said in the Jewish Bible several times that he not a man but the Christian fools simply refuse to listen and believe God when he says that He is not a man:
      1. God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through Numbers 23:19
      '
      2. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. Samuel 15:29
      3. He forbids to turn Him into a physical form: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth. The Ten Commandments.
Christianity and Islam both are human made religions, and have no divinity and are both total and categorical lies.
Only the Jews who were chosen by God in front of the entire world and who received the Oracles of Faith have the truth, all other 10,000 world religions are false.
"But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the LORD. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God- there never has been, and there never will be". Isaiah 43:10

    • @89rscam
      @89rscam 5 років тому +4

@SmoothJK Well the general view in the Jewish community of Christianity comes from approx. 1500 years of off and on persecution from Christendom. Roman catholicism went to Jerusalem during the crusades between 1100 and 1300 and slaughtered the Jewish people that lived there and claimed the Holy Land as theirs. In the early 1000's up to the 1500's various countries in Europe declared edicts of expulsion telling the Jews to "get out" or be killed. Spain told them to convert to catholicism, get out or die. All the while the religious organizations were pushing replacement theology claiming the church replaced the Jews as G-d's chosen people (contrary to scripture). So modern day Jews think Christianity is a gentile cult... honestly. What happens is, some Jews end up reading the new testament and they see how truly Jewish the entire new testament actually is! Thus we end up being Messianic Jews, believing Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah.

Many things are not in the text, as the Tanakh gives only a basic outline of each story and law. That is what Oral Torah is for, to help fill in the gaps. James Bernstein (a convert from Orthodox Judaism), Fr. Michael Oleksa, Dcn. Michael Hyatt, Fr. Theodore Paraskevopoulos, Steven Christoforou, Abbot Tryphon, Fr. Barnabas Powell, Frederica Mathewes-Green, Jonathan Pageau (who is friends with Jordan Peterson)...and many more.

James Bernstein ("Surprised by Christ"; About an Orthodox Jew converting to Orthodox Christianity), Met. Kallistos Ware/Timothy Ware....there are many others, but my lists for you are already large!

From what I gather, the only reason modern Jews can read the Bible and reject Jesus is due to modern Jewish propaganda, such as the view that the Book of Daniel is not canon, believing it was written much later in an attempt to denounce Daniel's prophecy that the Messiah would come before the destruction of the Second Temple. The same goes for a lot of the other prophecies.

I have nothing but love and respect for all Jews, even the ones who would not feel the same toward me. And I get it. They wouldn’t think I’m part of the people of God, and they might think I worship a false god. At the very least, they would think I missed it on the Messiah. The problem is they don’t know Him. I do. They may know about Him. They may have opinions about Him. But I know Him. My original statement was a statement of fact. No opinions can change it, and no reasoning can replace my experience.

I love this quote by EW Bullinger.
    It has been well said:
“The gospel has lost none of its ancient power. It is, as much today as when it was first preached, ‘the power of God unto salvation.’ It needs no pity, no help, and no handmaid. It can overcome all obstacles, and break down all barriers. No human device need be tried to prepare the sinner to receive it, for if God has sent it, no power can hinder it; and if He has not sent it, no power can make it effectual.”

Jesus taught & was under the Law. Today's Christian starts after the cross of Christ. Paul is the main person behind Grace through Faith which is the gospel to the Gentiles. We were never under the Law, we never knew the Law, but we are under Grace, Jesus Christ died for our sins. & rose again for our justification. This is not taught under the Law, Jesus died for the curse of the Law. Paul even speaks different than the 12 Apostles, Acts 15 show the argument of Grace through Faith vs. Legalism of the Law. Galatians Chpt. 1 also shows we are believers by hearing the Word of God, & not of works of the Law. Romans 10:9-10 is if we confess Jesus & believe in our heart that God rose him from the dead we would be saved.

Not just the sins committed from the Fall of Adam and Eve to those of his time, but those sins in the generations after Christ, every sin committed today, tomorrow, and until the end of time...ALL OF THOSE weighed upon the God-Man during his agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Jews and the Romans were just the ones who applied death directly and there are certainly special consequences for that, no doubt.

How would a Jew recognize the divinity of Yeshua when Christianity has ardently pushed the narrative that "Jesus" did away with the law (Torah)? They know that the true Messiah would have kept the Torah! What they don't understand is that, in fact, Yeshua did keep the Torah.

Here's what I think: The point of the sermon on the mount was not to elevate the law, nor was it to change the law in any way, rather, Jesus was pointing out that according to the laws of morality that already existed (whether those revealed specifically to the Jews in Leviticus, or those written on the heart of every person that has ever existed) it is impossible to be justified before God...
When people who don't believe in Jesus talk about the sermon on the mount as a "beautiful moral teaching", I'm always like, "have you read it"... Jesus says some depressing things in there like, "if you call your brother foolish you're guilty of hellfire". What he's actually saying is the best you can possibly do in life is not going to cut it, because on the day when you stand in judgement before a perfectly just God, your list of good deeds is going to look like f@%#ing toilet paper...
Ben and John are both right when they say that morally speaking Christianity and Judaism are not different because... get this... the teachings of Jesus are not moral teachings. Jesus didn’t come to give another list of “do’s and don’ts” or more impossible expectations. He came to do what morality could not do, he came to make us right before God. You see, this is what Christianity is: it’s the news that Jesus, the son of God, came to earth to live a life in perfect accordance with all the requirements of morality, to die on our behalf as payment for our sin, and then to be resurrected from death, so that anyone who trusts in him for deliverance, will be made right before God.
When we trust in Jesus, we are no longer condemned by the laws of morality, because the dept that we owe for breaking those laws is paid for by the work of Jesus. Through his death and resurrection Jesus has provided a way for each of us to be free from the guilt, and the shame, and the fear... from the feeling of inadequacy and worthlessness, from the burden of expectations, from all the things that result from us trying and failing and trying and failing and trying and failing to reach that impossible ideal of morality. The Old Testament law is good and right, but if all we have is the law, then there is no hope of being restored to right standing with God. Which is why the news about Jesus is not in any way opposed to Judaism, rather, it is the final chapter of the Jewish faith, it is the fulfillment of everything the Jewish people have been looking for, for thousands of years… justification before God.
    Anyway, what do you think?

    • @andrewsmith144
      @andrewsmith144 5 років тому +1

oh... also... here's one of my favorite OT passages (Job speaking about God)... Job 9 : 32-35 "He is not a mere mortal like me that I might answer him,
that we might confront each other in court. If only there were someone to mediate between us, someone to bring us together, someone to remove God’s rod from me, so that his terror would frighten me no more. Then I would speak up without fear of him, but as it now stands with me, I cannot."

    • @travisjones2754
      @travisjones2754 5 років тому +3

This makes a whole lot of sense, I just want to add/specify that the old testament law is still important to follow. I dont remember who it was off the top of my head but I remember Jesus saying "Go and sin no more", and there are many times where he speaks saying to follow the laws and that he did not do away with the laws. Though we as humans arent perfect, by attempting to follow the law and be obedient we are showing god that we love him and that, though we are imperfect, we want to learn to follow his ways. I personally feel this is a very important thing to remember when approaching the bible as a whole.
