    What is the difference between 9v decoy and a 15v decoy. Any changes in resistance or the ic is different. Coz I I have some extra 9v decoy laying around. But I need 15v to charge my 14.4v battery bank. So is it possible to mod my 9v decoy to output 15v.

    What if I have 12v adapter, or a 12v battery. I want to get 5V. Should I use trigger board or a dc-dc buck converter?

    Where can I buy a PD module capable of delivering 100W which can be directly connected to my battery pack (21v 5amp)?

    Does it charge and supports with a 18650 battery pack in 4s configuration?
    It's better to have a 20000 mah powerbank can be charged in 3 hrs and provide 100 watts of Power.

  • @hustlaz2k

    so this setup is step up the voltage. why dont u just use booster module only? no need that decoy module.

    • @gurribuy
      @gurribuy  Рік тому

      PD capable powerbanks and chargers already have booster chips inside them.
      its better to trigger the desired voltage natively rather than adding an extra module on top of the powerbank.

    I am wanting to use these triggers for devices I dont have a charger for, If I am trying to embed this in a device am I selecting the module that is closest to the voltage listed as the input on the device? I have a laptop that wants 19.5v ~ 2.31a, I would assume a 20v decoy with a decent type c pd wall plug.

    Can we do this to a laptop. Can I solder compatible laptop dc jack to 15 volt triggere. My laptop comes with 100 watt charger. Can I apply this hack there. Does amps matter in this conversion?? Your getting my point right ??

    Does a pd trigger works with a usb-c tester?
    I have some apple pd charging adaptor to test, I have a usb-c tester but it doesnt have pd trigger built in, if I use something like that but connects to a pd cable to an iphone, will it work?

  • @eugenek199
    @eugenek199 2 роки тому

    hi there, i've a question about these triggers, hopefully you can answer it.
    If the 12V PD trigger board is connected to a source that doesn't support 12V output.. what happens then? does it just stop working, or does it default to a lower voltage (5V perhaps)?

    • @gurribuy
      @gurribuy  2 роки тому

      hello Eugene k,
      1) the trigger will only work if the source support PD.
      2) If the source is PD then it is unlikely that the source would not have support for 12 volts.
      (I have not seen any PD charger that do support 12 volts.)
      So, Even if i wanted to test i couldn't test this because all the PD chargers that i have even the cheapest charger, have support for 12 volts.
      Also, it would not make any sense to Give a USB C port and not put support for at least 12 volts.

      what is your powerbank capacity. The 10,000mah version does not support PD.
      And if you are using the 20,000mah version, make sure you are using a power delivery compatible cable.
