Thanks for the interview with Mr. Hinson and that solves the H question and he definitely seems very down to earth. That totally sucks that the NHRA allowed those other drivers to be qualified despite the fact that you and others weren't able to qualify! So glad you finally qualified Clay. Thanks for the video as usual.
I was there on Friday, excited to see Clay run and the rain hit. Bummed big time. I took the day off from work to see him. I'll still be cheering for him on Sunday.
Not going to lie, you had me worried Clay, I never got to watch qualifying this week so I actually didn't know how it went. Keep those contender ambitions alive
As a dirt bike rider and supercross/motocross fan I know about Hinson clutches. They are the top of the line. What a humble man. Awesome! Thanks for having him on.
Clay I know you guys talk a lot about the engine , clutch and everything to do with all that. Any chance you can make a video on chassis , wing and aerodynamic of car and how everything works ? Thanks love the content
Always my pleasure to meet great people of the automotive world on your channel !. So happy to know you've got qualified. See you on the next one and Good luck !.😊
I love it when you give folks a shout out. Hinson .... good luck for the future. Shame about the tyre letting you down, will keep my fingers crossed for your eventual win. This will happen, maybe not now but soon. You can't keep a team like Parts4Plus down for long, you are much too good for that. All the best Clay and thankyou :)
Another great video from Clay. Stomp on that loud pedal, go fast, and get that win, buddy! Also, I know who I'm going to for the clutch for my race bike!
Watching Mr Hinson while you talked I could just tell that he a walking encyclopedia when it come to getting HP to the ground. Great stories in old books
Good morning, Clay. Looking forward to you having the best day of the end of this Season, hope your Sunday goes as expected. I'm sending good vibes to you and your sisters, and Team. Looking forward to great results at the end of the day.👍
Clay That saying about when it's raining is also a Arkansas thing. Both of my Late parents where from Arkansas. They told it to me when I was just a little kid and now I'm 66, but have I "grown up" ? I'm still working on that.
Clay, I may have asked this before, why don't you just use a ball valve to shut fuel off at the end of the warm up in the pit area instead of disconnecting a fuel line??
I am still not understanding why some teams got three runs and others only two. I know NHRA makes the rules, but they should throw out the first round or give everyone else another run.
Not race related but you say the Clydesdales were there? Thats nuts! They were in French Lick, Indiana monday! From here to pomona that fast is crazy! Of course when i met them by the lake they had a police escort! They had 3 trucks deep rollin! Hope sunday went well! Race On brother!
My grandma used to say that about when it was raining and the sun was shining. I'm 60 and she died when I was 16. Here's a couple more she used. "Hotter than a piss ant in a pepper box" and "Shining like a bucks ass in a thicket " When it was thundering she used to say that it was the old man upstairs filling his tater bin. Sadly missed "Polly Teipen" Rip
Just watching this just after the plane went down - hope you guys are ok (you would have just been towing back after 1st round?), prayers to the folks involved. Quick question - after the motor is heated then shut down for a couple of hours, what maintaince is re-done? Would you go a s far as to re-torque the rack or just leave it alone?
Sounds to me like NHRA needs to fix the qualifying bonus points system for situations like this. Not only did the teams that made a run get points, but they also got to test the track and learn for the next round. That's not right!
@mikebaker9574 True! It would make a lot of people upset if say clay was 1 point short of winning the championship and the one who did win it, was because he got extra points for qualifying on Friday before the rain.
Underneath your car, about halfway between your cockpit and the front wheels, is 'something' protruding near the track surface. It doesn't appear to be very large at all. Is it a wheel or skid component in case the front of the car flexes too much or should I go back to the eye doctor? I'm an old man who grew up in NASCAR. I recently became a huge drag racing fan because of YOU, BoostedBoiz, PFI & Company, Cleetus, and SRC. Before that, I had no idea race cars could go in a straight line and still win money!
Hay clay ,,what are the little hand jesters that Jesse does in front of your camera what is that, is he talking to his family at home or something, lol BigAl California thanks
Dear Mr. Millican, I’d bet that most racers phone conversations with Mr. Hinson resulted in improved lap times. There are two types of riders in the world…Rekluse roller clutch riders, and men who shift their dirt bikes with Hinson clutch baskets.
3.70 got you in, and that made you 9th on the ladder, you did good with Tony Schumacher , and then Britney treed you m wow, that twice right, what was her reaction?? And what was your reaction with Britney,,, BigAl California thanks
Hanson racing components, is that what you said, ok good things to know, thanks clay, stomp on that loud pedal,oh wait a plane ✈️ that’s not the firstcrashes in the top end pits, crazy, lol that’s not the first,,,at all great job team clay Millican Rick Ware racing team clay Millican nation and there is cris newton, thanks clay BigAl California thanks,p.s. did you have a live , if so I could not find it .
Since they didn't complete qualifying on Friday the teams that did get a pass should have the option of throwing their run out or keeping it if you decide to keep the run you only get one more try on Saturday if you throw it out you get two trees that sounds fair to me what do you think
@mikebaker9574 the way it stands now some teams got three passes some only got two it's only fair that they all get the same number of qualifying attempts so if you made a pass Friday you could throw it out and make two passes Saturday or you could keep it and make one past Saturday that way everybody's on an equal playing field
Helluva hit yesterday afternoon You and Langdon thundered past us Never got to speak with you yesterday you were busy but got to meet Leigh Good luck today and go grab Mr Walter Park’s by the belt buckle
Clay , son , you need to get some Red Bull or. Five hour energy drink or something when you get lined up the Britney ,come on brother, I was telling you on leighs live all weekend, the not sleep on the tre, ok Britney practices that tree when she’s sitting in the staging lanes in her car watching you guys take off in front of her she acts like she’s at the line when you guys take off and if you watch her butterflies open when you guys take off in front of her she practices all the time in the car,,, you need a practice tree , stay sharp over the off season, so we can see winner winner Arby’s dinner ok stomp on that loud pedal, BigAl California thanks
I’m watching on TV now here in Springfield Tennessee but I have to say that the NHRA screwed up with their decision on the qualifying. How can they even think that it’s fair for a few to get four qualifying rounds and the rest only get two 🤔🤔🤬🤬🤬
I believe Carroll Shelby said, “There is no such thing as to much horsepower. There is just not enough traction”.
Now that is a true statement for sure.
*too*
Happy go lucky Clay Milligan great sportsmanship from him always.
H, such a nice fella, I see why the H isn't going anywhere. Clay, you're a kick in the butt and priceless.
Thanks so much for the Mr H segment. I love seeing all the racer dudes. So much fun.
Clay, Leigh, Tracy, and crew, y'all rock! Go on and win this thing, Clay. Stomp on that loud pedal! Peace 🤘 ❤

As a dirt bike rider and supercross/motocross fan I know about Hinson clutches. They are the top of the line. What a humble man. Awesome! Thanks for having him on.
Hinson is such a humble guy. Clay thanks for highlighting him. He would be the last to talk about himself.
Thank you for interview with Mr.H Memory will stick now.

I only ran Hinson clutches in my motocross race quads. Great guy with a great company. I highly enjoy all your video's
Watching Mr Hinson while you talked I could just tell that he a walking encyclopedia when it come to getting HP to the ground.

Been running Hinson clutch baskets since 1987. They are bad ass.
That is what you a nail biting run but you made it. Good luck with tomorrow 👍😱😎🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸

.089 to a .234 It's a chin strap thing. Outstanding
Clay, I may have asked this before, why don't you just use a ball valve to shut fuel off at the end of the warm up in the pit area instead of disconnecting a fuel line??
That's just an extra unnecessary flow restriction.
I am still not understanding why some teams got three runs and others only two. I know NHRA makes the rules, but they should throw out the first round or give everyone else another run.

They’ve got a few sets!
@ekimzark ok that makes more sense! I went to there website and didn't find that. But its what I expected
I’ve also heard that if it’s raining and the sun is shining that it’s going to rain again the next day but I believe your saying is more common
I remember Clay when he was in IHRA and I think he was in Ontario Canada for match races.
Clay it's been a pleasure watching this season. Thanks so much. How about a Woody Surf wagon for the SEMA BUILD.
Love the "Father" Clay look.
Great video! Let's go CLAY turn on those win lights!!!!

@harleylake1143 I hope it doesn't come down to that!!!!!
@@mikebaker9574 me neither 🤞

(Can’t see where I was going ah makes it fun) what a pair on this guy.
Do the 2 small bars by Clay's head serve a purpose? besides maybe ingress/egress?
I thought someone was asleep at the light until I realized it was a qualifying run...
I noticed that during the warmups, some teams whack the throttle and some don't. Is there any advantage/disadvantage of doing so?
LET'S GO !!!

Question: When you abort a run like that do you guys still tear down the engine before the next round?
lol on the Mike Tyson
That Bell label on the front of your collar and the black shirt makes you look like a priest, Father Loudpedal..!!!
