    2:43 He has said that the wheel has done work, even when it came back to it's original position in the 2nd case. But work = force * displacement and here as the wheel came back to it's original position the displacement (distance between initial and final positions) is equal to 0, making the work = 0, I'd like someone to correct me if i am wrong.

    Sir , one question that troubles a lot of people , if current alternates why do we distinguish the 2 cables (for a single phase ) as hot wire and neutral . if it alternates then shouldn't for the first half cycle the brown wire (L) to be the hot one and blue wire (N) to be the neutral and for the second half cycle the brown wire to be the neutral one and blue wire to be the hot one ?

      im not sure, but i think that conventional current flows from the positive terminal to the negative. notice that i said conventional current. if im not mistaken, in the past everybody thought that the current flowed from positive to negative, but long story short, now we know that are the electrons who go from the negative pole to the positive. sooo the real current indeed flows from negative to positive, but the conventional current, the one that we usually see represented on diagrams, flows as shown in the figure (positive to negative terminal)

    • @anniebassist1
      @anniebassist1 3 роки тому +2

      Electrons move from negative terminal to positive and current flows from positive to negative

    • @cherryboy5163
      @cherryboy5163 3 роки тому +4

      @@anniebassist1 what you're saying doesn't make any sense. Current is a stream of charged particles, in this case electrons.

    • @Mjudge19
      @Mjudge19 3 роки тому +2

      There are two theory’s
      Conventional current and electron current,
      Conventional was developed off of Benjamin franklins idea that current flows from positive to negative,
      However
      J. J thomson (correct me If I’m wrong), discovered that this was not so, but rather that electrons were a negative charge and were draw towards the positive charge,
      Thus concluded that the electron would flow from negative to positive.
      And so current is known to flow in the opposite direction of the electrons,
      However as a side note, the conventional theory is still being taught to erase confusion and simplify learning. As most of the world uses conventional theory.
      Furthermore, if we look at the bigger picture, scientists/ physicist, may say that it does not matter what way the current flows as this does not alter the values in any related formula.
      I hope this helped.
