So, I guess the moral of the story is to not have females of child bearing age, or with children in critical positions. Quinn, should have been trained to do Josie's job functions from the day Josie announced her pregnancy.
If Quinn was smarter, more competent, and better trained she would have been able to take over from Josie. It maybe that Quinn would never be able to do Josie' job.
This was completely a problem of having unreliable, women in critical positions. The second Josie announced she was pregnant George the manager should have started to look for and train a backup for Josie. Children get sick. Women stay home to care for children when they are sick. It is unsafe, and illegal to leave an infant without supervision until they become some kind of teenager.
