Wow i never thought that this is so easy. Used Mixamo alot but found it very frustrating that i couldn't use IK on the mixamo rigs.
I had auto rig pro for over a year now and never knew that you could remap mixamo animations this way. Thank you so much for showing this! :)

However, ehen I scale the armature in edit mode the animation breaks putting everything in the working place...
after becoming familiar through the demo!
This worked great! Is there a way to bring in another mixamo animation and have a continous animation using 2 mixamo animations?
You could also correct a good amount of the rigging errors for your mocap transfer from Mixamo on their website itself. Just play around with the settings before you download it. You know the onscreen options they provide on Mixamo like 'Character Arm Space'. It works sometimes to improve my workflow on using them animations.

Very good video, but I just don’t sure to understand how the character is moving? Are the bones of rigify have constraint rotation of Mixamo rig? How the addon works?
Thank you! Edit: I'm revising my question here. I recorded my mocap with timecode, so the keyframes start are at 7:18:24:20. like really really far past Blender's frame range. Why can't I adjust the in and out of the frame range to sample it where it's at up there? IUs there a way in Blender to expand past it's limit?

Could scaling the target bones before retargeting help prevent all the stretching 🧐🤓
Hi Darrin! Please has there been any development since then? Is this is adoable workflow for a game production? :) I am thinking of buying the Autorig addon for our game but not sure if we still need it. Also, can multiple animations be then retargeted to the new control rig?
This worked for me, thank you! However, after remapping mocap animations to my model, IK no longer works for the hands and feet. Is there a way to turn those back on without messing with they animations I remapped?

I have a very challenging question I have a moose that has both IP animation and RM that I bought online only thing is for unreal the RM does not works its there but none working this is what the seller told me ( Hello! Unfortunately, to work in UE4, you need to redo the animation of the root movement in the original Blender3D file There is no other way to fix it.) would any one know how to fix? would be very helpful.

There isn't a good way that I know of to retarget mocap to the MHX rig.
why do you need to scale it before retargeting?

Hello, firstly I want to apologize for my bad English, secondly to ask if it is possible to recreate this process with my rig rig. My question is that my character is humanoid but has tail wings, i.e. more bones that are missing in the mixamo platform.
Does Mixamo add a rig and paint weights to the character? If so, can you animate it to do whatever you want, or can it only do the Mixamo animation?
Yes, you can animate it to do whatever you want but you have to place individual bone everytime by yourself since there is not IK
its great and all but it doenst work with unicode. lots of japanese and chinese games out there waiting to be ripped. Tried a few other retargeting tools, either it breaks or just doesn't work

Not sure why that is happening. UA-cam Memberships aren't available in all countries yet. I've also read that it doesn't yet work on the iPhone or iPad UA-cam app. So maybe try it on a computer in a browser. ??? Sorry I can't be more help.

No, not that I know of. I've been keeping an eye out for that too.

why the option "in place" disappeared
check the model you uploaded to mixamo. i had same problem and had to replace the model with another mixamo model (or upload your own), then it started working again, maybe this helps

Wow, they labeled that dance “silly dancing” but it is someone poorly performing the “cabbage patch”. If you type it in cabbage patch, silly dancing comes up. Just an observation, great tutorial

I subscribe but some videos not open
i dont understank instead of wasting time, just import that model in mixamo and re import again with skins. the model will come with pre rigged with mixamo bones, and use mixamo addon to convert to IK, and the minor flaws can easily be solved by weight painting. but you are doing long process by importing without skins and again rigging mixamo bones with same original model.
