I am (a mixed race Filipino). Our family left the Philippines for the States when I was a teenager. Growing up, I had always wanted to see Yosemite National Park, as I had only seen it in pictures. Sadly, the pictures did not do the Park justice. I had to be in the Park to see it with my own two eyes, to truly appreciate such beauty. The same can be said about the videos of the Philippines, coz I had the chance to go back to the old country as an older guy and see many of the spots shown. You can do many things there, whatever that may be. If you are into water sports, you can do stuff like, snorkeling, surfing, Scuba diving( The Philippines got awarded the award of World’s Best Scuba Diving Destination recently), There are Scuba Schools where you can learn and be certified. Kayaking, Fishing and Paragliding, Sailing, Windsurfing, White Water Rafting are also done. If you prefer the. Mountains, you could also do hiking, biking, ATV riding, camping and mountain climbing with the locals. There are some Sand Dunes in the Northern Part of the country where you could use Four wheel drive vehicles or even ATV’s on the Dunes. Usually during March, there is even the International Hot Air Balloon exhibition in the Province of Pampanga. If you prefer cities, Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Vigan cities, with lots of Architecture and also a lot of nightlife to offer, you mentioned that you seem to have seen Manhattan in the background, those are probably the skyscrapers of areas like BGC, Makati, Eastwood. There are other cities with cooler climates like Tagaytay City, Baguio City. Those boats are called bancas used by local fishermen. Why can’t you stay forever? Don’t be surprised if the videos seem to show a lot of foreigners. According to the Philippine Statistics, there are several hundred thousand expats who live and have lived in the Philippines for many decades. English is used by most Filipinos, some not so fluent, but can speak it. By the way, Filipinos are Heavily Interracially mixed. Legally, in the Philippines, as long as one parent is Filipino, one is considered Filipino. Without being racist, there is no typical “Filipino looking person”. A Filipino could be as dark as an African American, Yellowish like Jackie Chan, Brownish skin like Spider-Man’s Jacob Batalon, Hispanic looking Filipino actor Lou Diamond Philipps, Caucasian looking like award winning Filipino actors, Darren Criss and Hailee Steinfeld. There are more and if you don’t mind, Please try to watch the video” Famous Half-Part Filipinos from around the World”. For more examples that may pleasantly surprise you. Yes there are mosquitoes. Caves? Go to Palawan to go to one of the world’s longest underground river caves. Music, singing, even a family lives out in the boondocks, there would always be some music playing. Most households City or Country would also have some music playing. Even a wet market would have a radio or something playing and even in some cases, I have seen workers sing at a Wet Market Karaoke Machine during lunch break. The Karaoke is basically a part of a Filipino party, no matter where the Filipino is around the world, and, although there are lots of Filipino songs, there are so many Karaoke songs in English as well.

Guys I wanted to add that Our Filipina American actress Liza Soberano, is part of a movie called “Lisa Frankenstein”(not sponsored, just proud Pinoy here.)
In cruise ship, band, singer are mostly Filipino, also waiter, waitress some are also Filipino.
What you've watch is just tip of the iceberg. 90% of the highlights are the locals. You will love the Philippines and its cheap. Your only hindrance is time. Remember its more than 7,000 island with 7,000 must to experience. Rent or Buy an SUV if you want to scour the whole of the Philippines in short time.
Those places shown are actually far more beautiful in person.
The views and nature that you see in the tourism ad of the Philippines are all true and not the instagram type videos. If you want videos as comparison, you can check out vlogs of foreigners who came to the Philippines and end up making the Philippines as their home based or 2nd home. You can check out 8 miles from home vlogs, Make it Happen vlogs, Juicy vlogs etc… they have toured a lot of the provinces shown in the tourism video. The colourful houses on the mountain side that you love is in Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines. The edge of the world video is in Batanes. You will be able to travel around well in the Philippines as long as you are open in talking with the locals, most people can understand English and able to communicate one way or the other. Fun awaits you when you travel to the Philippines as long as you are open to new experiences.
don't forget Becoming Filipino who have been to all the towns of PH

"We can probably go by speaking English in the Philippines". Yes you can, we have two official languages - Filipino and English. Most people can communicate by English.
Depends when you're going. There are festivals and events you can go and participate in. And yeah, there are mosquitoes😁. But please try the mangoes. 😊
Always ask the locals for any secret gem places wherever you visit here, coz there are more hidden gems than the ones discovered. Don't forget to try as many fruits as you can.
Go to the provinces.... not in the very busy place of Imperial Manila.
Yeah, this is fact videos about our country. Amazing beaches nature, food and people, you love it truely and you are very welcome here in the Philippines. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤❤❤😊😊😊
❤❤😊
Yes we have mosquitoes in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and our mosquitoes are also friendly 😂
and they kiss your skin to greet you
@@crisq638 yeah tender kiss with anesthetic needle😘 😂
Lol
Too friendly lol
if dont take a bath everyday the mosquito will bite you promise this is real thats why pilipino always take a bath everyday 😅😅😅😅
Philippines has more than 150 languages. Every provinces has each language. I am a pure Manileñans I only speak Tagalog so I completely don’t speak nor understand other Filipino Languages but I love it everytime I hear them especially Ilongo.
That's an Ad of course the best have to be shown. Everything shown is the Philippines but the tiny country is huge when you're there so it wouldn't be an endless beauty. Manila has the best amenities overall but it also has tons of poor people that turns off a few foreigners because they haven't encountered such poverty unless they've been to India and Africa which may be worse. Mosquitoes, there are in poorer areas. The country has come along way and is on its way to becoming even more modernized, yet, it will still take decades if it wants to be on par with the very progressive west.
To see is to believe. To experience is to immerse.. To savor is to enjoy. Go ahead and travel. Our Paradise Islands, including unbeaten paths, the genuine Filipino hospitality, the diverse culture, the savory cuisine, and a whole new world are waiting for you. To explore, to experience, and to enjoy those beautiful moments and memories only you can make. There they are, just within your reach now. Welcome to the Philippines!
I hadn't watched the last part of this reaction vid til now. You talked about being "brainwashed into thinking America is the greatest in everything". Honestly, me as a Filipino living in our country, I think I was brainwashed into thinking that too, esp. from my own mother who was so into "great America". And so i grew up thinking that our country is way inferior than US and other countries. And even when I got to visit Boracay (back in the 90s), though it was a stunningly beautiful island with powdery white sand and turquoise colored waters, at the back of my mind I kept thinking "no, i'm sure there are even more beautiful beaches in other countries!" Why? Because i've been brainwashed into thinking that way. It's only in the last maybe 5 years when I started realizing how beautiful our country is (esp. our nature and also our rich culture) - thanks to ads like this and watching foreign vloggers showcasing our country. That's why I am also thankful to these vloggers and support them. Aside from opening my eyes to the beauty of our country, they have also helped greatly in promoting our tourism which helps our economy too.
But I don't think you should sell your house just yet to go traveling. You still need a safety net in case things don't work out. Just my practical advise.
:)

Philippine mangoes, so yummy
Some say philippines is actually the garden of eden, im a filipino i was born in a remote barrio in the 70"s our place was like garden of eden indeed, one thing the philippines has is our jungles have no bears tigers or lions, our river where i was born has no crocodiles so you can go swimming how many times you like, so if you camping nothing to worry but some humans, i remember so vividly trees full of fruits and when night comes some trees was like christmas tree because of hundreds of fireflies with different colors, my childhood was fun and awesome, every year there is FIESTAS you can eat in any house you want drink till pass out haha now i live on a city and i miss so much my hometown
Philippines is an English speaking country so any place you go here they will understand you.
Welcome to the Philippines in advance. I hope the time you visit here is the concert of SB19 or Morisette. You will love the crowd.❤
Hello Stephen & Taylor! What you saw were realities, its a reflection of how diversed the country is from the north to the south...and the more fascinating are the filipino people; welcoming and hospitable, they will guide, receive you with smile. That's the Philippines...❤
Summer is coming. Come and visit the Philippines ❤❤❤❤❤
"The Philippines in reality" those places that are shown here are really Instagramable, you may really wonder how amazingly beautiful those places in person, its really a paradise you can feel and see, from its beaches, soil, mountains and its people!🤓
Philippines is a top beach tourist destination in the world and has won several top awards from Conde Nast traveler. Im blessed that my ancestral province is Coron, Palawan so you gotta go there weve been no. 1 for some consecutive years as top beach destination in recent years. The other great beaches to go to is boracay and Siargao, top beach destinations as well. Youll be in awe to see how fine and white the beach sand is here which makes the sea looks so clear and pristine but yes there are mosquitos here so tape your repellant together with your sunblock lol as there are a lot of sun on here throughout the year. Now is actually the best time to go here...from december to february which is between lean and peak season. I say that because of the cool weather but with warm sun and no rain and not much tourist yet until summertime which is so hot between march til may and more expensive. 95% of filipinos can actually speak english and about 47% can speak fluent english with great diction and enunciation which makes the country the 5th largest english speaking country in the world so that solves your problem with communication barrier. Taylor, the dance with bamboo poles is called Tinikling which is an age old filipino folk dance...the challenge is to not get caught by the bamboo without looking down while maintaining the grace of your dancing. When it comes to nightlife, it would be fitting for you to go to bar drinking places or restaurants where live bands play (you'll be amazed by how good they are and theyre all over in major cities and if youre more daring, go to karaoke bars with filipinos you become friends with. Oh theres just so much to do here that's why the country's motif is It's More Fun in the Philippines so I hope you wont ever change you mind about coming here 😊. I love this reaction much!
Yeah... This is totally true... I'm an employee of the the biggest pineapple Farm in the Philippines that company is the biggest exporter in Europe and latin America even in Asian in extend, We had so much to offer here and had a lot of beautiful places that you've never seen before.

I'm Filipino and just starting to explore my own country, have visited few places outside my comfort (city) and I'd say you can really experience the kind of beauty shown in this video, it's always better to visit a place for the second time when you've learned better about it.
Also, thanks for appreciating our country and people
Oh no, you have no idea. The only way to experience PH is to go there yourselves. Visual wise, PH's "expectations" is PH's "reality". When it comes to PH, what you see is what you get. The reality is even more breathtaking, if that...
That much I can say.
every commercial spot features a region in the philippines, which is comprised of a number of provinces. different key attributes of that region are highlighted, such as the ATVs in mayon volcano of bicol region, etc.
This is fantastic, Stephen and Taylor 😍
You are most welcome here and experience the hospitality of our people and enjoy the summer with its heavenly fruits and delicious food. You might even bump into one of the artists you,ve reacted to in your channel. 😄That would be a treat😍
So back to artsts, would you reactt to sb19 next please. Like

My name is Benny, Hi, remember Philippines is rich in natural resources, with more than 7000 islands, you can experience and see those places but you cannot visit them in one visit in the Philippines, watch all the foreigner who scared to visit Philippines, and I’m telling you, they came back and back to out beloved country and decided to stay in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 Yes you’re absolutely right , you have one life to live , visit Philippines but just to give you a heads up,,, you will travel about 15 - 18 years on the air. I want you to watch all foreigners like other Asian neighbor country, Africans, Americans, Europeans to visited and stays in the Philippines.
All of those in the video are real..visit to our Country..we always welcome you by heart and hands.. come here Taylor..
You can't regret it for the rest of life..There so many Tourist here Around the World..🤲🤲🤲❤❤❤❤you gonna love it👍👌👌👌
I would suggest that you look for videos of actual travelers and see the Philippines through the lens of a foreigner instead of a local. And the thing is, there is an abundant of videos out there of vloggers travelling.
Regarding language, learning a couple of local terms and phrases will be greatly appreciated but Filipinos even with the ones who had less schooling can speak a lick of English. English is actually an official language in the Philippines so that should make you less worried about communication. Plus a lot of the signs are in English so that should ease your burden as well.
Fun awaits! Love, love this episode. You are definitely welcome to visit our amazing country. Yes, this tourism ad has been "instagrammed", but only so it looks super sharp and somewhat perfect. But the feels that these people in the ad mentioned, they are real. The sites are not that flawless but they will still leave you in awe. Just like Stephen, I also haven't seen most of the Philippines despite being a local. But those that I have visited really made lasting impressions. What I can assure you is that the people here are so warm and friendly. And yes, most understand, even if not all, can speak fluent English. Communication will not be a problem. I'd recommend you watch vlogs made by foreigners, especially those who have decided to stay in the Philippines. Hope you can visit the Philippines soon! Who knows, you might decide to do that RV life here. Ha ha. 😆
As a Filipino American I subscribe just now. Please visit my country where I was born and raised but I live in The US for 40 years now. Philippines has so much to offer. The people is our greatest resources, very friendly and hospitable.
Mosquitos??? ALOT!!! AND, THEY ARE GIANTS!!! Cockroaches and spiders, also...
There's actually a stereotype that all Filipinos can sing. Probably 90% of the population can sing or carry a tune so most artists doesn't even get to professionally train when they started in the business. It was innate. The reason why there's so many singing competitions around.
Hi i watch your video all the time you are always welcome to the Philippines. Just one thing if your already there becareful of your belongings....I'm from Cebu Philippines but now residing in California.
Talking about mosquitos we have mosquitos in the Philippines. My whole family here in California is flying to the Philippines this month and most of them are first time. Try also visit Cebu the Bantayan island resort especially the virgin island. Thanks for visiting Philippines. The beautiful houses the color houses are from Baguio City .
When in Cebu don't miss to see the sardines run, try chasing falls, swim with whale sharks up close, mountain trek, beaches, resorts, heritage and historical sites, Sinulog festival, unique flora and fauna, and other interesting wonders to behold!
Please do react / watch NAS DAILY's 8 DAYS in the PHILIPPINES!! Youre gonna love it❤❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Yes, there are mosquitos here. We are a tropical island country, so naturally, we do have'm. Good thing we have plenty of products to protect you from them.
People in the Philippines speak english . We have 100 or more dialect but the most common is Tagalog and English people can understand some people are shy but they can help you just ask the locals or meet some vloggers who have been there for a long time. Everywhere you go people can sing we love music from old song to now. Once again thank you and hopefully to see your their and enjoy with some locals. Try also watch Becoming Filipino
His a vlogger for a long time until he live there for good.
We (Filipinos) welcoming you with an open arms when you visit our beloved country...💖
Foreigner asking why Pilipino have good singers, b, cuz those good vocals, they only doing praising God when time come he he he agree!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha
5:10 The tourists areas where you can snorkel don’t have sharks. So, it’s safe!!! 😁😁😁
Oh really?! That’s good news!
No shark in the waters of the Philippines... Sharks doesn't want warm water of the Philippines
Actually the "Instagram" u saying sometimes cant give justice to the real beauty of the Philippines 🇵🇭😅 just see for yourself and experience it.! 😊
You might also want to watch "8 Days In The Philippines" posted by Nas Daily's Best Videos to see more facts about the Philippines
If I’m not a Filipino, I would say It’s not possible there’s a country this beautiful like a paradise.. They showed lots of different things, views, foods, fruits, activities, etc.. It’s just impossible they all exist in a small country. But, yeah… aside from traffics and some slum areas, those showed in the videos really do exists in this country.
mahal ko kayo....in tagalog....that means I love you all
Awww
@@Killermcknight You would reply 'mahal din kita'... I love you too 😉
Mahal din kita 🙂
Thank you! 😁
🇵🇭 The names or titles of the videos or on top of the videos that goes after "Wake Up In ..." are either the official names or full names, the acronyms that are officially stylized in all caps, or the common or colloquial names of our administrative regions in the Philippines all in the English language or mostly in the English language, or are names of a city in the Philippines (ex. 22:38 The Honesty Shop in Batanes is not a typical cafe. There are no store clerks, only a small payment box. And because there is no one there to watch you, you pay for what you get through an honor system. Essentially, all you need is to be an honest person.
Oh that is so cool! I’ve never seen a place like that before, and I think that goes to show for something about how our country is 😞
Tourism adds are good but they only show you the 'good' side of things'. The Philippines are beautiful along with the freindly people but there is also suffering (just like any other country). I love hanging around Makati but for me the real Philippines is out in the provinces. When I visit my fiancee on Northern Samar, there are so many children out begging for money it makes the heart break. I've given them money but I've been told not to... Despite the negatives, I love the Philippines and will be retiring there with my fiancee (wife by then?). I just need to get used to the roosters....
Hey guys, when are looking at going? Been some shaky seismic action building up these past few weeks in the Philippines. They do get a few in general but when there's clusters it can sometimes mean a stronger shallower one may occur. .It's a beautiful place.
Interesting! We're looking at the summer in late June or July
@@Killermcknight Ah ages away. You guys will be totally fine. How exciting
If you are going in the summer, it can be hot crazy. But since you’ve been in Florida, that can be manageable. 😅 I suggest you go up north of Metro Manila to the Hundred Islands, then surfing areas of La Union then to the cool mountain city of Baguio and explore the Mountain Province.
Have you watched 8 Days in The Philippines by NasDaily?
They are actually highlighting the different islands provinces. fyi
Yes there are a lot of mosquitoes. So don’t forget to buy lotions (sunscreen with high spf level and off lotion).
I love our country. I live in province, all i can say is that the hills and beaches are true. We swim in clear beaches since i was a chid. I thought growing up that everyone in the world swam in the same blue and turquoise water.
So i thought its very common, im surprise many times foreigners praise our beaches and other places in our country. We also celebrated many festivals, as you saw in the video the people who are wearing costumes. Were doing street dancing.

Yes we have lots of mosquitoes 🦟 hehehe but dont worry off lotion or other brands are cheap here also don't forget to get anti rabies just for safety because we have lots of cute but sad stray animals like cats and dogs which foreigner cant help but to keep touching them wahahaha 😅😂😂 😜 just always be safe and enjoy.... ❤
Tourism ads should be genuine if it 's fake then We Filipinos will cancel it
Philippines is small country....but so Manny adventures that u made specialy the food
I'm so excited!
The Philippine population is over 110 million people and its total land area is even bigger than Italy so I don't think it's a small country at all. I haven't heard of anyone calling Italy a small country, lol!
Lol no way, it's not small. Just surrounded by waters
To be fair to Italy and maybe the Philippines but the USA has 350+ million people and it's not in densely populated areas where some of our states like Texas and California are bigger than an entire country.
@@Killermcknight You're right about that but while traveling to Texas and California, most land area is so barren.
We're in the tropics so there's a lot of insects here, not just mosquitoes. So if you visit our country buy some local mosquitoe repellant.
there are more hidden place here where its not crowded and still as beautiful as the one you saw on the video. there are mosquitos here too.
Wonderful Indonesia
Hi Stephen & Taylor! love to watch you again old subs here! You're always Welcome Sir! & M'dame! !
#Fun Awaits!
Thanks for loving the Philippines maybe this video will help you ,Philippines voted best Tourist Destinations in 2022 ❤❤ u guys
Mosquitoes strive in every Tropical countries.
Yes, there are lots of mosquitoes in the Philippines!!
With the more than 7 thousand islands shown in the video, you’ll not be able to experienced all those beautiful people, places and food in weeks, months or even years. Like Jmayel’s family from UK, Kyle of Becoming Filipino and Basel of The Hungry Syrian Wanderer who stayed and lived in the Philippines. And Canadian Bret Mavericks vlogs.
Check out 8 Days in the Philippines 🇵🇭
You should probably start watching actual vloggers., There are family vloggers too.
We have been on our own time 🙂
Yes the philipines is english speaking country
11:37 If you're not convinced yet, Taylor... A full hour of a whole body massage here in the PH would cost you roughly 600-800 pesos. That's 10USD for you! 😉
Ohhhhh my gosh, I NEED that! 😫🙏🏻
You might want to check " 8 Days In The Philippines by NAS Daily " You can learn A LOT from that video that might help your travel planning or itinerary. Thanks 😉

I'm 100% positive you'll enjoy your visit to our country. Some can't miss places are Coron, El Nido, Boracay, Siargao, Cebu. There's tons of places you can go. It just depends on how much time you have. Enjoy our food, our culture, and most of all our people. Can't wait to see your videos when you visit our Philippines! Mabuhay!!!
21:00 Yup, there are mosquitoes in every tropical country. However, we use mosquito repellant lotion. Once you land, look for a store and purchase "Off lotion".
Does it work pretty well? Mosquitoes are very attracted to me!
Hey Stephen and Taylor, did you change your name? Before Chanel name was delight, sorry forgot the spelling
Yeah it used to be Killermcknight
Summer in the Philippines is between March to 2nd week of May...the rest is kind of rainy...or you could come between Sept to Dec to experience pinoy Christmas at the same time
FUN AWAITS!😄Great reaction guys.🏖
Glad you enjoyed!
Yes any where in the world there is a mosquitoes!
There are big mosquitoes 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
The philipines is the land of the great singers

The way to learn is to see by watching dozens of foreign vloggers as they visited or stayed in the country and engaged in activities and indulged in many fun plesures😊
CALABARZON= CAvite+ LAguna+ Rizal+ queZON
If you have notice the ad is in a way displaying the uniqueness of the regions of the Philippines. MIMAROPA is actually a Southern Tagalog region and it stands for the provinces of MIndoro, MAsbate, ROmblon and PAlawan. CALABARZON is also the other Southern Tagalog region and it stands for CAvite, LAguna, BAtangas, Rizal and QueZON. These regions in a way share diversitiies and common ethnicities. There's a lot of travel vloggers around the world who visited the Philippines. I think it might better if you check their videos about the country to give you an idea, tips and what to expect specially those family vloggers (lots of them)and also try to research and make itinerary. Generally, Filipinos are warm, friendly and welcoming. It's more fun in the Philippines! 😊😊😊

You watch Becoming a Filipino Kulas. kulas his nick name. He is a teacher from Canada. He has been promoting the Philippines for years. He is the simplest one. He is the first blogger who became a Filipino Citizen.you can watch his oath taking before the Senate. And there are hundreds if not thousands of bloggers right now in the Philippines. There are also Americans who sold their properties and moved to the Philippines. The diving site has no shark you just really have to ask and listen to the tourist guide and the locals. They will always advice you because we don’t want the tourist to get hurt. Just a piece of advice, this is not only in the Philippines , it happened also in the US in so many countries . When you go there just hand carry your valuable things for Safety reason. Am a Filipina and welcome to my beloved country.
