    Quick tip, when the spring is compressed use a load of good quality, thick plastic zip ties to hold the spring compressed and make life easier removing and reinstalling then just cut them off when you are bolted back up

    Thanks for the video. I have 2 inch spacers and 2 in longer springs and mine still sits lower in the nose due to the ARB bumper and winch. I think after watching this I am going to look for some 3 in lift springs and keep the spacer to put under the front to get rid of the rake. I like the even keel look so much better. 😍 My Rustys lift is fairly old and could use some refreshing. Want to drive to Missouri to help lol.

    Have to say, I like the before picture with the 31s. For a 2 inch lift I think another inch or two on the tires would work better. Appearance wise I mean, I don’t intend to do any offloading in my Jeep. this won’t be a popular opinion I’m sure but it’s the way I like it.

    i just purchased a lift for my 99 Tj and i haven't started on it but I've heard that i might have to make some adjustments for the radiator or a yoke. any of that sound familiar to you? its a 3 inch lift thank you for the videos

    • @ForceBuilt
      @ForceBuilt  2 роки тому

      Depends on what lift you have. If it is a body lift you will have to move stuff like the radiator and fan shroud. If it is a suspension lift you may not have to do anything. What do you have?

  • @20Bentz

    • @ForceBuilt
      @ForceBuilt  2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, not a fan of body lifts. If they are on the small side it's not too bad. The one I removed was 3". It just looked funny. I know some mods require a body lift. The tummy transmission tuck is the one I am thinking of. If someone is wheeling hard then that would be needed to get rid of the shovel skid plate we all start with lol.

    What about bump stop extensions did you need to put the extensions in? I'm looking to do the same lift and any advice would be great ☺️👍

    • @ForceBuilt
      @ForceBuilt  Рік тому +1

      The bump stops are a good idea if you are going to do some trail riding where you will need full articulation. I don't need them because we don't use it as a trail rig(red Jeep). On my green Jeep I have full articulation without bump stops. My springs fully compress and stop articulation before my tire reaches the fender. I don't use them on either Jeep but I don't have an issue where I need them. I know that doesn't help much but that is my experience. Thanks for watching!

    Do you think 255/85/16’s “33’s” would fit with a 2 inch lift and still be able to off-road?

    • @ForceBuilt
      @ForceBuilt  Рік тому +1

      I honestly don't know. You can look at this red one with 31's and 2" lift with wheel spacers. I honestly think 33's would be a bit big for this Jeep. The tires were too close to the fenders so we did a 2" lift. 2" bigger tires(33's) would put the tires right against the fenders again. No room for off-roading. Hope this helps.

  • @underscorejeff

    Do you have to align it after or anything?

    • @ForceBuilt
      @ForceBuilt  2 роки тому +1

      No sir. With the straight axle all is well. What does change a little is the caster and the only way to fix that is with adjustable control arms or cam bolts. With a 2" lift you don't have to adjust caster. Anything above 2.5" lift will need some way to adjust caster. That is when the lift kit gets expensive(control arms are expensive). I am happy with 2" lift so no need for caster adjustment. Thanks for watching!!
