Let me know if you guys have any questions + why you’re interested in attending Georgetown! Also, if you are reaching out with a Georgetown inquiry please 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 me on Instagram to move to my general dm requests; otherwise, I may miss your message!!! ;))
Great video!! Can you please do a video on your experience as a Black woman/the Black student body at Georgetown. And of course, a video on your essays and interview process. Thank you 😊
My best tip is to go in knowing who you are. Do a brief review of your accomplishments and start to either jot down or take note of your EC’s, best subjects, etc and why they reflect your “brand” or what you’re bringing to the school. It’s so easy to get stuck in going with the flow and you may find yourself forgetting the WHY that relates to the WHO. If you know that, you won’t feel frantic during your interview and you’ll find that you have an answer for whatever your interviewer throws your way. If you haven’t started to connect all of those various aspects already, take the next 3 days to reflect on who you are and why you’ve made certain decisions to see if you notice central themes. Feel free to even go as far back as childhood in order to extensively relay why you are the way you are and what you bring to the table! Review Georgetown’s mission statement and find out what sparks your interest and where you see yourself fitting (or not fitting) within those values. Most importantly, be you! :) xx
I’m a junior with almost no extra curriculars I’ve been doing a few courses with colleges but that’s all. What do you recommend I do to help me have a good chance of getting in? Thanks so much!
Hi, Tara! I would recommend determining if you actually have 0 extracurriculars. Almost anything you’ve done outside of the classroom in the past 3 years that isn’t school sponsored can be seen as an extracurricular and I’ll give you a few examples. Do you take care of siblings at home if you go straight home? Ever looked after a family member in general? Do you have a job? Have you ever tutored someone? What did you do last summer? What’s your favorite hobby? Do you help around the house? Even social media can be seen as a professional pursuit if you can convincingly show that you are dedicated to that form of communication and have made an impact in the online community. If you can think of anything worthwhile that you’ve spent a significant amount of time dedicating yourself to, it can probably be counted as an extracurricular. Wishing you the best of luck and thank you so much for watching!

Can you make a video on your essays?
Hi, Caroline! I’ll see what I can do. I’m in the process of rebranding my channel. In the meantime, dm me on Instagram if you have any concerns
hi Diamond, would you be open to reviewing my resume and giving me some pointers on how you think i can improve it?
