Beauty! I’ve been seeing the ads. Im in Warracknabeal and want to do the Grampians at some point. Im absolutely clueless , and I’m a 62 year old (with a few life -related injuries, lol), -so i was hoping for something easy to put up. Haven’t watched it yet. Just so glad Aussie channel is gonna sort this one out for me. Ok. …..Ill go watch. Thank you
Excellent . Im not gonna go to the Antarctic or anything. I just want to slap a tent under a tree by the river and wake up in peace. With no complicated technicalities. Its not only the time factor- but the complications of some tents , that just make me not want to go. Now I know this will be perfect. I was hoping it was going to be ok. I am not gonna park it in windy unprotected spots-but i would love it if you tested it in the rain. I can’t imagine them making it not waterproof. But still. You never know if you don’t have a go. Glad to find your channel-camping for my country’s conditions.
Even though I haven't had the chance to test it in the rain if you check out their website it rated to be fully waterproof. We haven't had rain here in a long time. It's been the driest summer here in years
I've done a few 4x4 excursions over the years and have used a few swags.....not a fan. For me claustrophobic to say the least. Even the jumbo swags don't have enough head height for me to sit up. A 3 second tent(even if it takes me 2 minutes) is a game changer. And of coarse it's sheer lack of volume is a winner! it will take up no space in my Land Cruiser ;-) Winner winner chicken dinner!!!
Thanks for the first impressions video, it certainly looks ok so far. I don't know why companies like to grossly exaggerate their claims, 3 seconds is completely false, 60 seconds would be more accurate, but this has nothing to do with you, you didn't name it, lol. Looking forward to the proper review after wind and rain testing along with product quality after some use. The link you provided shows a considerable discount, which basically brings it down to a level that it should be in the first place. An interesting concept so will keep an eye out for follow up videos.
Great video! I just got the large tent last week for my camping trip at the end of this month (July). My only concern is if it’s water resistant, hope it is.
I've had a tent very similar design to that they are a piece of junk the top section breaks so it took it back I got myself a new tent which I call the one and a half second tent you fold it like around circle then when you need to open it up Just release one velcro cord and it springs in to shape only needs four pegs each corner and I think maybe 4 or 2 guide wires they make two man and four man tents l can't remember the brand I've had for some years now
There's no reason for the top rain cover to be any bigger otherwise there will be 3 layer's to the tent. It already has a rain cover protecting the sides. The top cover is purely to prevent pooling at the top
You reckon that's fast? You should try a Quechua 2 second tent! Lol. Take the strap off, throw it in the air, and * * POOPH* * she's up! Lol. Packing it away can be tricky though, takes a couple practice runs haha
I agree mate 👍 that's why I included the special price I seen it listed for on the website. I'd highly recommend anyone wait for it to be on special before buying it. The special price is much more reasonable
The only tent out of 7 I have I wouldn't use It's heavy for a two man tent it leaks in the rain and can't handle winds over 20 mph No vestibule to cook in when raining I know I sound like a a kill joy but don't want to see anyone waste money like I wasted £100 Please look at the reviews on UA-cam when in rainy weather The only good thing is it sets up quick and keeps the sun off you if it's not windy
a 3 second tent (plus adding the ground sheet, pegging everything in and attaching the rain cover, and putting your sleeping setup inside). a swag always win
No it won't. I honestly haven't pegged this down once since I've used it. If you include setting up bedding then yes a swag would win because a lot of the good quality swags you can leave your bedding in it. The rain cover I also haven't had to use yet because it's been so dry here it hasn't rained in months. My air mattress holds the tent down so I don't need to peg it down. I still take my swag out quite regularly as I really like sleeping in it with a stretcher
@Kurtis8801 don't know mate like I said I haven't tested it in rain yet. But if it was windy water wouldn't pool up the top anyway it would run straight off

I love my three second tent! Tested in 30mm heavy rains at Honeymoon Pool. Easy peasy and waterproof. Well worth the money.
Love the honest review. You need to do more reviews because you did a great job!😊
I'm glad you qualified the 3 seconds set up.😂
Great review 👏
Nice one mate. Small and compacted and most of all Lite. Cheers.
Great honest review. Thanks for the insight.

@@Campingdownunder ok. well i think i will get two- for me and a mate. And a dog. Thanks heaps

Always ‘season’ a new tent by erecting it and hosing it down to swell the stitching. Enjoy. 👍🏻🙏🦘
It certainly takes a lot more than 3 seconds.
It's a beauty of a tent if I was a bit younger😊

I've seen the ads and have been looking at them.

Thank you for this review, have been looking at one but was unsure as of course the advertising will say it's great, but there again, they all do.
Exactly right 🤣 you can't trust ads. But so far in the month I've had it I have no complaints 👍
Nice review, this doesent look like a bad option if you want a lightweight tent
Great video!

Hi mate I'm from metalian campers how do I get in contact with you
Message me on instagram first.
I'm camping downunder on instagram aswell

That rain cover is surprisingly tiny.

Yeah look....once we all figured out how to set it up it's great 😅🤣
Just a question how tall are you and does the tent fit your height when you sleep? only ask as i'm 5ft 7 :)
I'm 6 foot and yes it does
@@Campingdownunder thank you, wanted to know as I've bought one couple of days ago.
@@Campingdownunder one other question. What's the length and width of the tent? :)
@GHOST91991 sorry mate I'm at work but all the specs are available from the website
You reckon that's fast? You should try a Quechua 2 second tent! Lol. Take the strap off, throw it in the air, and * * POOPH* * she's up! Lol. Packing it away can be tricky though, takes a couple practice runs haha
$110 in Big W
I have a similar tent but bigger, easy to set up yes but $400 is way too much for what it is, just my 2 cents worth, b safe out there

i also own a tent that pops up in 3 seconds and folds up in about 20

and the rain cover doesnt even look like it would protect you against the rain if the wind is high, doesnt look wide enough
@Kurtis8801 don't know mate like I said I haven't tested it in rain yet. But if it was windy water wouldn't pool up the top anyway it would run straight off
@Kurtis8801 this is just my experience with it mate. I'm not telling anyone they have to buy it
