You should list the Guess bag and note the flaw. It is in beautiful vintage condition apart from the strap issue. Someone could take it to a leather repair shop and easily have the strap replaced.
Hi I have got water stains off of leather by getting it all wet at one time. When it drys, the water mark is gone. Works great with no damage to the leather. Love your videos, thanks!
If you mean actually dunking a leather bag in water, that is not recommended. I rehab vintage Coach bags and this is a huge topic-it causes harm to the stitching/overall bag structure. You can use leather CPR (a conditioner) or Lexol on glove-tanned leather to condition and restore the bag, then buff with a horse-hair brush like an Otter brush…you can also use distilled water with a horsehair brush or a sponge and Fiebings to clean a bag, but only using distilled water or you do end up with water marks…you do this to clean a leather bag one panel at a time and then you immediately wipe off with a microfiber cloth. However, it depends on the leather and definitely harder on light colored dyed leather. That’s why it is always recommended to first start with a conditioner (also blackrock leather conditioner or chamberlain’s on the corners may be best--very little is needed, a little goes a long way). 🌸
Hi! Wow! That PLG (Portland Leather Goods) tote bag is a super amazing one to get in your mystery box. Many vintage Coach collectors (myself included) also collect PLG bags because their style and quality of leather are so similar to vintage Coach bags from the 70s/80s/90s. You should do some checking but you can often easily restore/rehab a PLG bag with some leather conditioner like Leather CPR you find at Dollar General or Tractor Supply. I was recently at PLG in Portland, so many great items and was packed with shoppers, a super popular brand. 🌸
Love this unboxing. Purses are my top sellers, and you received some really valuable bags! I wonder if they know you have a YT channel and gave you a really good selection? Seems too good to be true. Congrats!
Bummer about that BOC Born bag. I have sold that brand before for $25 - $35. Definitely a brand to keep an eye out at the bins if it's in better condition. ❤
I have had vintage belts that are genuine get that stickiness on them. I wondered if it’s an aging issue related to how the item was stitched or tanned or something? Obviously some leather gets better over time. It’s a bummer!
I don’t like mystery boxes lol but it was fun to watch ! Love finding and selling great leather bags like Madewell ! Score 🎉yeah guess bags are cute but cheapy
I just got a handbag box too. Only a couple good ones. The rest were cheap brands. One bag that was saffino leather smelled like cat pee inside. It made the whole box stink. It was really bad. I was miraculously able to rehab it safely without ruining the leather. I got the smell out. I was crazy enough to order another handbag box too. 😂 edit: I also got the same mosiso bag in a different color in my box.
Agree. Same. After the last crazy quality drop and price hike I promised myself a cool fake for Christmas, I've already scouted it out at luxrul and will put the rest into an investment account.
Hei McKenzie 😊 ThreadUp has a branch in eastern Europe with a huge warehouse n Bulgaria called Remix shop. I have sent them many bags with clothes and shoes mostly to clean up my closet, but also the money Remix paid me for the items were good too 😊. I wonder though what Thread Up does with all the clothes and shoes rejected/ not accepted for sale from people who sends them? I remember a pair of pumps, genuine leather, very little worn that had the interior of one of them a little rubbed, and were rejected. Of course people dont want to use more money to get these items sent back to them and leave them to ThreadUp. What happens with these items furtheremore? Is it possible that they end up in these boxes you ordered and are showing us here?
@@Mcthriftzie I called their customer support to ask what happens with the inventory not approved for selling, and the answer was that it is being destroyed :( If it is the case, than this doesnt make Thread Up as sustainable as they pretend to be . Because in my case they havent approved for selling a new without tag long bat sleeves body from HM , purchased in 2018, and those pair of leather pumps, worn a couple of times only.

My mom snagged it! :)
I think the box was definitely one of the better I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing!

These ThredUP handbag boxes are fire 🔥 lately. I received one a couple of weeks ago and got a Sezane suede tote that paid for the box!
Wow that was a more than awesome box. Fossil bag and even the guess to bad it had issues.
BEST BOX IVE SEEN..do not throw away the guess bucket bag. Clean the handle and let the buyer know of the defect. Lots of good quality you have there
My mom actually ended up snagging the Guess :)
I liked the patchwork one ❤

This is great to know, thank you!!
As a Houston Native, I am Loving the hat!!
Danier is a Canadian brand!
You should list the vintage guess bag. They sell really well. I sold one for $90 similar style.
I liked all the larger leather bags. The box was way better than I anticipated! Good For You!!!
You can wrap a silk scarf around the handle with flaw and it will give your bag a nice new look and I’m sure you still can sell it
Love this idea!
❤ the tote u r keeping. I don’t think it’s a bad deal. One bag can make your $$ back

My thredup account isn't connected to my YT at all :)

I always leave them at the bins, but I'll check comps in the future.

Yesssss , What a deal !!!😊
I'd keep the Portland Leather bag as well! I've found that brand a few times before, though always in brown so not as tempting to keep.
My favorite is the Wilson’s bag! Loved all the items. Have you ever thought about bundling the flawed items and sell them as is?
I haven't but that could be a good idea!
Overall, I think you got a great box!

Hi Kenzie, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma. I enjoy your content.
What happened?
Danier is a great Canadian brand
Yes! Great bags!!
Brahmin was my favorite

Fun box!!
Hi! Was this a name brand box or just the handbags box?
It was just regular handbags!
I cannot find the handbag rescue boxes on ThredUP. Can someone guide me please? I tried searching.
They don’t always have them in stock! You just kinda have to stalk the rescues page if you want one haha
Fossil all the way.

Interesting!! I'm not sure what all they do with what's mailed into them but I'd love to know the full rundown.

How do I get a mystery box?

@@Mcthriftzie thank you!!!
List the guess bag. People know how to fix that.
My mom snagged it!

DANIER Leather is a Canadian brand which is no longer around but still a very good seller for us Canadians when we find it.
