- Netflix is one of the most popular streaming apps but a lot of users maybe affected by an upcoming change. The Netflix app is set to stop working on multiple different streaming devices which could cause a lot of inconvenience. But the bit of good news is, the affected devices are older smart tv's.

Thanks for the video! When most people read something like this they immediately freak-out and think doom and gloom is pending! This WILL effect some people for sure but you pretty much pointed out as to WHO will be affected and people with newer devices need not worry at all. I have an ancient Panasonic Plasma TV from 2014 but use a Fire Cube 3rd gen and can control everything with the Cube and if ain't broke WHY fix it mentality! The Fire Cube keeps my TV relevant and allows total voice control even with ON/OFF capability. This is just ONE reason WHY the Fire Cube is worth the extra CASH over a Fire Stick. The Cube offers Enhanced picture quality options that keep the overall picture looking great even on my OLD TV.

This kind of thing really irritates me. While they are probably telling the truth when they say it will stop working for technical reasons, I'm sure they could overcome those reasons if they wanted to. Companies just don't care enough about their customers to ensure backward compatibility with older hardware. Years ago you could keep using old hardware for much longer than you can now. Is there any wonder all the landfills are full?

this is another reason to not to trust any of these options smart tvs and streaming devices are trash and should be considerd such when you buy the product if these tv manufactures truely wanna treat us well then they should be providing these addon devices as just that addon devices that we can choose to connect to our tvs or not. i myself always use an hdmi connected device altho looking at what roku is trying to do to tv's i may just go back to projectors altogeather as they are going to start sliding 4g and 5g sim cards into our devices pre activated of course and there going to collect all our data anyway my personal tv dongles are mini pc's i use a wireless keyboard and mouse with or another more robust method like say just an old home pc. this will give you more functinality to your screen and will proide less ewaist and better overall exp for you the end user.

I have a android T95 box and my netflix stopped working last month it comes up now with product not supported
So if amazon dose this to my stick, I will no longer use Netflix. Have got on tablet , will delete the account wont watch it any more, only use the stick for something else I won't say what

The technical limitations are the app cannot report back on these older TV's. In Today's climate, they MUST spy on you.
