- Ok, this is actually the first battle with an animated intro that features Red, the reason was that I lost the original mugshot of Red with a transperent background. But now that I have found it again, I can start redoing some of my battles involving Red.
Original description:
Another much requested champion battle, this time Red takes on Cynthia. Let's see how it goes.

I've never fought Red in a Pokemon game, not counting the choice between Red/Blue in SM and USUM
I only have beaten Cynthia in Platinum, and she was hard enough
Since I'm playing through Diamond, Pearl, and HGSS, I have to fight Cynthia's harder team from what I hear twice
And I have a very long grind to do twice of HGSS
Gen 4 is quite a journey for me lol

Saying Chyntia would won against Red if their Pokemons level are equal is the same as saying that Youngster Joey would win against Lance if his "Top Percentage" Rattata has equal level with Lance's Dragonite lol.
Red Blastoise and Lapras literally know blizzard and can knock Togekiss, Roserade and Garchomp. That's HALF of chyntia team lol.
Red Charizard knows Air slash which effective against fighting type likes Chyntia Lucario.
Red Venusaur knows Frenzy plant and Solar Beam which effective against water type likes Chyntia Milotic.
The only pokemon in chyntia team who Red's Pokemon doesn't have counter to is only Spiritomb, AND that's only one pokemon, so this fight is pretty much logical for Red to be the winner wether based on Pokemon Level or type advantages. It's practically one-sided win for Red lol.
Nah forget Air Slash, Blast Burn OHKO's Lucario and even worse it actually outspeeds. Snorlax can quite literally wall Spiritomb as well.

+WSFpower thats how you compare an NPC`s strength in game. as for now Red is the most powerful NPC the player can battle with. which makes him superior to all NPC in the entire Pokemon game.

Arcanine is most certainly a pseudo. Hell, he was even meant to be one before Gamefreak decided to go with the legendary birds instead. Funny enough, his stats are nearly indentical to Charizard, and the only other thing semi unique to him is extremespeed, which some other pokemon get as well.
But i don't care because he's still my favorite fire type. It's a gigantic majestic looking wolf/dog that breathes fire. What more could you want?

Arcanine has less than 600 BST that doesn't make it a Pseudo.
Also, it's stats are vastly different from Charizards. Arcanine slighly favors physical attacks while Charizard is clearly special unless going for the unusual SD/DD Zards. Arcanine is way more bulkier than Zard.

so many butthurt on how cynthia lost to red. basically to compare NPC`s strength in game your gonna have to look at their pokemon`s Level. right now Red is the only NPC who has the highest pokemon level in pokemon. which makes him the strongest NPC in the entire pokemon game.

Vaati cynthia`s tactic is pretty straight forward. NPC rarely switch pokemons in game. Cynthia always starts with his spiritomb and follows up with her garchomp. so unless she sweeps your team with either her spiritomb of garchomp its pretty easy to beat the rest of her pokemons. I remembered fighting her my medicham survives her garchomp`s dragon rush and i as like sweet one ice punch and her ace is down. then her garchomp also survives ice punch. but on the next turn she missed her dragon rush! I was OMG that as soo close and my medicham pretty much sweep the rest of her team with hi jump kick. pure power medicham GG.
Cynthia is hard though, in dp she had two pokemon to cover every type except ground, only one for that. Plus spiritomb with no weaknesses

Such outcomes are too obvious. Red makes Champions like Cynthia look how mediocre they are, how weak the tittle champion is. Red toppled across that status long back, and now sits on the throne where only a legend can reach. The guy has done it all! He is on a mythical level!

For once, pokemon battles became a fair fight. This is how it will really end if Cynthia challenged Red in a pokemon battle
It might be different now though, Cynthia's strongest team in BDSP actually outleveled Red's and she now holds the title of highest leveled NPC in the series.

Oddly enough the only person who came close to beating red in any of these match ups was Satoshi's sinnoh team by one move and that lost on Satoshi was due to Red's abuse of full restores.

The only problem i've had with her is her spiritomb.
The spiritomb has pressure, which makes your pokemon lose 2 PP every attack it does. Spiritomb double teams a lot and makes it difficult for a move to hit So you would be using a lot of attacks and wasting PP. It also has hypnosis to make your pokemon fall a sleep. It can use dream eater to heal or continue increase evasion with double team.
Why are people dissing Cynthia and her fans so much? I barely see them, but see so many Red fans bitching for absolutely pointless things. Im a Red fan, and this is honestly embarassing

I am not surprised to say that red is the strongest pokemon trainer ever because he is the embodiment of the player, except for the player no one is recognized that can defeat red. red is the scariest challenge in HG/SS and his pokemon team has the highest level of npc trainers ever. he owns the legendary pokemon but doesn't want to use it. at world tour in bw 2 and sun and moon red is always the ultimate challenge to beat if you want to become pokemon master. red is the only trainer among the main characters of the series to carry the title of champion and battle legend, there are many other powerful trainers who do not achieve those titles.
So, Ash (Sinnoh) gave Red more of a challenge than Champion Cynthia, take a moment to think about that.

Cynthia was the easiest champion for me, my lv 47 gyarados beat her garchomp 1 v 1, the garchomp didn't miss, while I had tyranitar dragonite snorlax lugia ho-oh and feraligator, I barely beat blastoise on red

Well red is really strong, my friend told me that to beat red in the gen 2 remakes you really need to counter his pikachu with ground types. So I didn't expect him to lose this fight.

Spamming Bulk Up or Work up or focus energy or Calm Mind or Sword Dance (Btw i already tried the five of them especially sword dance) when Spiritomb first came up before you beat it and then the rest is history lol. Milotic and Togekiss die to my Infernape Thunder Punch and Garchomp die when my infernape kicking it's butt using close combat lol. The rest is so easy that i literally just spam either flamethrower or flare blitz at their face lol. There's no need to get overleved to beat Chynthia while this simple strategy can destroy her whole weak ass team with ease lol.
Not everything must be solved by bruth force or grinding lol. Just because many people think her team is hot shit doesn't mean other face the same problem lol. Her team is full of weakness that it's not even funny lol, Lucario and Rosenade is weak to fire type while Togekiss and Milotic is weak to Electric type, all type moveset in which Infernape can learn lol. The only one who present a threat is Spiritomb and Garchomp, but compared to Garchomp, Spiritomb can still be one shotted on the first round by using Flare Blitz lol. Garchomp alone is a non threat to my stat boosted infernape by using either of the five move that i mentioned above at the beginning of the match before slaying it using close combat. There's a reason of why Infernape is the best starter and a beast in sinnoh games.

If I was Cynthia I would have kept Gastrodon instead of using Togekiss. Yes, Gastrodon has 4x weakness to Grass but it's just that, meanwhile Togekiss has 3 weaknesses (Electric, Rock and Ice) as of Gen IV.
its not abut resistances, its also about offensive versatility and having access to more stab moves...togakiss makes her team more well rounded since gastradon repeats a ground type ...ideally a serene grace togakiss would be perfect, but hustle is not bad either
Red has all 3 Kanto starters to counter almost her entire team. Venusaur destroys Milotic and Gastrodon, Charizard destroys Roserade and Lucario, and Blastoise destroys Garchomp and Togekiss.
I defeat this 2 pokemon Masters with my master team

Though I've seen NPC Milotics generally packing toxic, and they try to immediately apply it, when facing a "strong opponent" which can tank Surf or icebeam.
Best solution: Guts Hariyama/ Conkeldurr. Takes the toxic. Shreds Milotic in 1-2 turns.

Red would fuck up Cynthia I don't care how powerful her garchomp is it's not enough no beat red
red won for two reasons: 1: every single one of his pokemon were much higher level then any of cyntia's. 2: you were playing for red while cynthia is a AI, it would have bin much more fair if you were up against another player using her pokemon because the human brain is much better at making quick decisions and thinking ahead. cynthia has a much more rounded team. she sets up, switches to the most fit pokemon for the job and there are very few ways (other then level) to find gaps in her defenses. for example, you have a electric? she sends out garchomp, you have a water? she sends out rozerade. there are very few ways to take her in a fair fight, she is very good. now im not saying that red isnt good but his team isnt nearly as well thought out as he king of had to have all 3 starters, plus a pikachu witch takes up 4 pokemon slots out of 6. its hard to work with 2 pokemon slots.

But mind that there are still type disadvantage and only Cynthia used full Restore
