    Awesome content. I learn more from you than any other brew tuber! I recently acquired a Braumeister 20L from a German colleague and I need all the help I can get.

    The Braumeister is something else, such a cool piece. If you're open to suggestions, a simple ~750ml plastic container from maybe yogurt, with holes punched through the bottom makes a great "sprinkler" filter for your sparge. Cheers!

    Brewery looking spot on all nice and tidy, cracking brew day without any hiccups . The BM is close to the edge of the table, thought it was going to fall off while moving it.

    congratulations on your the new brewery, how are you Glen how is your family I wish very good?
    I love what you brew I have a problem with clarity and aging and taste for a long time I like to advise me to stable my effort of what I did I am only using coopers LME and keg it.
    would you please answer my inquiry on your next video about:
    1- the clarity of your beer are you using gelatin or cool crush?
    2- are you using secondary fermenter if yes for how many days and what temperature?
    3- would you please talk about the aging of your beer
    4- I wish if you make a unique recipe by coopers LME
    5- how many tablespoons of harvesting yeast to avoid yeasty taste in a 21L patch?
    Thanks a lot Glen

    Hi homebeerbrewery. Just to confirm a few things. You have purchased a new Braumeister ? if i recall you returned a previous unit as you were not entirely happy with the construction of the unit. if i am correct what made you repurchase a new Braumeister?

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому

      Craig Gambetta Yes that?'s correct, I purchased a 20 liter again to brew 25l batches. 3 weeks ago I purchased also the 50l version. The Braumeister is a nice system, makes your brewdays eastly and fast but I can archive a better efficiency on my SS brewtech setup, especially for the stringers beers. Cheers, happy brewing!

    • @craiggambetta694
      @craiggambetta694 6 років тому

      Wow, 2 x Braumeisters and a SS Brewtech setup plus new brewery, your investment in brewing is to be applauded....kudos. Love you videos, cheers from Australia

    You May have mentioned this before, but what kind of water do you have. Do you use any minerals to adjust your brew water?

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому +1

      ashagon Hi, I use regular tab water. The water quality is perfect here in The Netherlands but I correct it just a bit with lactic acid. Cheers

    The brewery is looking good. Did you get rid of your last keezer? That was a nice build.

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому

      My previous keezer died. I couldn't get the right spare part for it. It was the start relay for the compressor... It was a shame, I had to get a rid of it :-( Thanks for your comment. Cheers

  • @robertnijhuis1064
    @robertnijhuis1064 6 років тому +1

    Nice video, i have a question. Of you brew 25l, with how much water do you start, and how much water do you sparge? I also have a 20l braumeister.

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому

      Robert Nijhuis Hi. 27,5 liters to mash in and about 9,4 liters sparge water. You are Dutch right? If you have more questions, please feel free to ask them in Dutch :-) Cheers

    • @robertnijhuis1064
      @robertnijhuis1064 6 років тому +1

      homebeerbrewery , super, bedankt.

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому +1

      Robert Nijhuis Graag gedaan. 27,5 liter is echt de max bij mij met deze hoeveelheid mout. Bovenkant moutpijp is dan bijna zelfde hoogte als water dat in de BM zit bij toevoegen van het geschrote mout. Je kan natuurlijk ook met 25 liter starten en meer spoelen, 2,5 liter meer dus. Je veranderd hiermee dus ook de beslagdikte l/KG verhouding. Probeer gewoon eens :-) proost.

    Tof kanaal!
    Ik wil graag gaan beginnen met brouwen en heb een budget van ongeveer 200 euro.
    Wat raad je me aan om te beginnen?
    Groeten uit utreg

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому

      bombingbloke Dankjewel! Ik zou beginnen met extract brouwsels, een gistemmer,lepel,kroonkurken en een kroonkurkapparaat + thermometer is voldoende. (En lege flesjes natuurlijk) ontsmettingsmiddel heb je altijd nodig, saniclean gebruik ik. Later kan je nog all grain gaan brouwen, BIAB methode is goedkoop omdat je geen mashtun nodig hebt. Ik zou eens bij Brouwmarkt gaan informeren. Succes en brouwse! Groeten.

      homebeerbrewery dankvoor de info. Welke kit van brewferm of andere merken zijn goed te drinken?

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  6 років тому

      bombingbloke Brewferm is zeker goed, Simply's ook. Coopers lager of IPA is ook goed. Gewoon proberen, smaken verschillen en er zijn verschikkelijk veel soorten en merken.
