Thank you bud for letting us live through you 👍 there are many rc enthusiasts that cannot afford the upgrades and vehicles u get we all enjoy your content 👍👍
yup . i got a kraton 8s roller in the box for $350 2 years ago and still collecting parts to drive it . not complaining at all because a lot of people cant even afford a free phone call .
Check your camber... Rc driver had some positive camber and that will kill the steering. Add a little negative camber and tow out and it will greatly improve turning.
@@ExocagedRCwill you check the bec and confirm if it's on 6v or 7.4v, and turn it up to 7.4v if it's not already? Please include the performance difference in your next video!
The more I see, the more I like it. It really drives well, planted. What do you think lap times look like vs an Xmaxx or XRT? I know most won't care since it's a basher, but that's what we do at my place.. door bangin around a track. I agree the 20mil is much improved, perfect for bashing. I might go lighter for track use if I go "Vigilante". I was thinking the same, 5687 1100kv or 5690 is perfect for this truck. Hey, that center diff gear looked like it a had a couple boogered teeth? Awesome truck, looks right at home at the Exoplex!! Enjoy bro!! Looking forward to seeing what you can do with the Vigilante!!
Sounds sick on the concrete pad, I'd love to hear the Losi DBX on the pad, 😁 Awesome truck EXO, stiffening the diff made a world of difference, I need to do the same to my 1/8 Redcat TerrorMoto... MO POWA 😁
It drives like a giant 1/8 scale. If the split chassis holds up, and the gears and motor can stay together after big flex, this is more appealing to me than the xmaxx for sure
Excellent work! Love the thicker diff fluid. Eager to see the next video with that hobbywing motor, that thing is going to RAGE after that!! Great work! The beast is a wild child now!! Reminds me of my o.g. Kaiju, now with steroids!!
Put some D-Boots Backflips tires from the 8s Arrma Outcast on it. They have the best air control for bashers. I put them on all my 1/5th-scale bashers.
Dude you're awesome I put 20 million in my Center diff it's a wheelie machine still have power to the front wheels it's a whole different animal now thanks for the video
10:41 You were able to get donuts because you understand throttle control, You have to ease into the throttle so the front tires don't lift just like you did 😁 If you tried to go full throttle it would just wheelie and you wouldn't get a 🍩 lol
I believe that you picked the right motor also I think that’s perfect motor. I actually think that the X Max stock motor is a 1250 and it’s fine dude you put that 44 two spur on it, and Booya! That truck is a winner
The wheels on this truck suit the era that this body is trying to mimic. I think it looks great. I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy one of these come spring time
The past few weeks I've been looking to get back into some larger scale RC.. Considering the X-Maxx and then saw that Maxx Slash, that would save a few bucks.. Then got the email today about this truck! The body kicks ass! Think I know what I'm buying the next couple weeks.
Man she's a beast I can't wait till you run it and the x maxx together and I love the wheels it looks damn good to me great vid man keep up the great work
Impressive truck, i have always liked RC, and just bought a cheap 1:16 hosim (hyper go), still have not received it btw, watching this 1:5 monsters makes me wonder...is it about 1000usd to get one of this up and running? Truck, 2 batteries and charger? Just wondering lol, loved your video, nice driving.
I was thinking the hobbywing 5690 1250kv motor be perfect fit an not to much power it break it. Motor mount dont look like it take the longer 2028 cans well. But as far as looks an wheels, i love the wheels an the body is one my favorite rtr body's on a 8s.
That center if mod isn’t very convenient. Too many screws takes about five minutes to get it out of the XM and do a gear change. Maybe 10 minutes.💪🏻. It’s a sweet looking truck and it actually does stuff well and all the videos that I seen I’m very impressed especially with the two-piece chassis which I’m sure is slotted in far enough embraced with those four bars that it probably won’t be a problem plastic is so much better for a chassis than metal. if you use something rigid, that’s just what it willbend. as plastic pretty much goes back to its normal shape that’s why the X Max and the XRT or so innovative
This thing might be a real nice contender. Lets see how it holds up on longer term, not completely convinced yet, but do dig it and it looks ok too if you ask me. Thought maybe some thicker front diff fluid might be worth experimenting with too.
1st thing every rc out of the box is to see what needs to be adjusted to its environment and driver . since every single one from the factory is completely different to the person that built it .
Wondering if you can help…I put 20m in the center and 30 thousand in the front and rear and now my motor is clogged when it gets warm. Only the second run in this truck first run was stock second run was with the thicker oil
I would definitely take this over an XMAX or Kraton 8s. Looks better than both and that bracing looks tough. Im curious, as to what that grinding/clicking noise was though. Sounded like slipping gears.
Have question how will that body fit on kraton 8s is it possible and still be right and the wheels I have one and it has 800kv max5 other then outcast bumper it's stock and like to change it up and stock tires are less half now but can't afford high price tires just say the covid relief help and right now battling lung issues so any info on fitment and how the wheel would look or be great keep up good work and have wonderful day.
I just bought a Kraton 8s for a real good price but with that price the esc blew up first run and the problem was the the motor he put in is a 1721 2400kv motor that are meant for stage racing or speed runs only so I cooked the esc 😭
I’m new to the hobby. I have IC5 batteries and would like to know will they connect to the xt90 on the Vigilante? I was hoping I could continue to use my same ic5 lipos and not have to solder on xt90 connectors. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
This realy does look more appealing than xmax considering it needs 500$ of mods stock to be useable. Really wonder how the 2 piece chassis holds up, the thing being not only split but also have brace connecting right at the split makes me worry a bit. I guess couple more days before people start sending it more and find out about the weak points.
Look 👀 most people think xmaxx indestructible but it’s so slow and guys who modify that 500 aren’t going to beat it up or send it as much , when money was no issue the extreme bashers were breaking the chassis ect , I wonder if they did the split for durability or to prevent being a copy cat 🐱
@@RcPlayer-tt2vwprolly so it's not to close the xmaxx chassis. Front an back towers looks similar so they had to make it different somehow. I don't think this will hold up to extreme high jumping, but I could be wrong.
@@RcPlayer-tt2vwI’ve been eyeing xmax but one of my bash buddies has one and after driving it couple times It made me skew away from getting it. His has probs 1k in hop ups at this point and still breaks every second outing not even doing any crazy stuff. Sticking to 8s on mild punch max 5. Funny enough he probs broke every part of the car aside from common breakages and issues. It also bothers me that even with 200$ servo and fully juiced up steering assembly the thing only goes straight. My hopes are the redcat is better in that regard.
No one should be complaining about the wheel color. One of my favorite things about it.
Easy to just hit them with some flat black spray paint if you don't like the color as well...or whatever color you like.
I absolutely love the chrome
Reminds me of the old school mag wheels from the 80's.
they look like hurricane wheels from then to me@@maxcurry9667
Thanks to you Exo I canceled my max slash and got this beast instead “why must I chase the cat “ lol
Because it's awesome me too👍
I think you definitely made the right decision
I also am planning to do the same. If I’m going to spend some decent money, this big truck seems to be where it’s at right now.
Out a box beast that thing rips! I love it 👍
This thing seems like a great truck. Can't wait to get mine.... hurry up FedEx!!!!
I would totally have this over the X-Maxx. Throw some backflips on that rig and air control should be golden.

I think those wheels look really good, had some old mag wheels on a van in the late 70's that were really similar to these! 👌🏼
Just bought one yesterday !!!
Check your camber... Rc driver had some positive camber and that will kill the steering. Add a little negative camber and tow out and it will greatly improve turning.
Yeah I pulled this in a bit at the top, also had to adjust toe as it affected that as well

Great vids. Thanks. Maybe thicken up that front diff, should help it out
That looks way better with the thicker diff fluid.
Man I think it's awesome at least you're not jumping it off a house
Looking forward to someone doing a usa1 tribute truck!!!
But it doesnt have axles? Usa1 exists in 1/8 scale already

So far so good on durability. I have a couple more things to do before I hit the big ramp.
Awesome! It just looks fragile for some reason but can't wait for the big ramp I'll be watching!
Love Rc . . Pretty good video !
Good stuff as always man!!.👍🏼
Will the stock servo handle 7.4?
Once you know how to work on a redcat kaiju this should be child's play also this is the perfect candidate for 10s

How does this compare to the Losi DBXL e 2?
Nice, can you do a comparison between the vigilante and ultimate xmaxx.
I would definitely take this over an XMAX or Kraton 8s. Looks better than both and that bracing looks tough. Im curious, as to what that grinding/clicking noise was though. Sounded like slipping gears.
Pretty sure the pinion wasn’t set right after I had it apart.
I do have a question will those Wheels fit on a outcasts
I’d like a set of those wheels to put on my XMax 🤩
I prefer to call the Redcat Vigilante, The Animal

1st launch with the 20M and you knew.
Man i been looking at a 5th scale soon and now idk ifi want a Losi 5ive B, Outcast, Kraton, KrakenNow This!! 😵😵😵😵😵
What the kv for the bigger motor. ?
When I took mine apart an did the mod. Put it back now it’s grinding like hell I put every thing in the same spot
Awesome rig! How about a stock speed run? That bad boy is already fast! 😎👍🔥
43 mph on a different channel.

20t is it as best I can tell

Same size
You're talking me into it, Joe. It would look good amongst three Primals.
👍🏾👍🏾
Is there anyway can you do a mod too my xmaxx
I rarely ever work on vehicles that are not mine
love it fuk yeahh
Great vids on a new product as always....I wouldn't buy a Redcat but still like to see how it's put together and how it performs....👍👍
They Should Have Come Out With Different Colors For The Body..😬
I’m ew to the world of RC/cars… I’m more of a drone guy. So lemme get this straight… you DID NOT replace the actual rear differential?
esc like the carburetor you can go bigger for more juice but maxx 6 still a Holley 750 dual pump 😂 max5 like dual 650s
😁🤪
For the love of God, leave vitavon out of this truck 😂😂
Put 20 million in the rear diff as well as the centre diff.
It's growing on me
