Just starting my writing journey and this was a really helpful video for me. I agree with other commenters that using the Lion King as plot point examples was great to understand how they function in the story. I never saw TLK so its lost on me. The foreign language names and allegory left me confused. What sort of sympathetic protagonist is willing to kill for power? Or was that a different character?
Doesnt anyone learn the classics anymore? Treasure Island, Huck Finn or Red Badge of Courage in Middle School? Or am I being too elitist here as one educated mostly privately?
At any rate I will go through it again and see if I can apply it to a story I am more familiar with.
