I actually own both the TW4 and the AZ80 and really like them both. I bought the AZ80 hoping to return the TW4, but when listening to the sound quality side buy side I slightly preferred the TW4 especially using the personaized sound settings on the TW4 app. I have decided to keep them both thank you for your insight.
I just got both of them. Technics fit better and feel better. Their transparent mode is better. Noice canceling almost similar to me maybe a bit better on technics. The sound though is a bit better on MTW4 imo even though I dont have support for aptx adaptive they might sound even better. Might send back MTW4 because just a bit better sound won't do it for me. Thank you for making me try AZ80 haven't heard them before Edit: MTW4 ANC is better but I hate a backsound noice they give me when using ANC they also sound louder People around me can hear Technics more than MTW4 even though they are not louder
Congratulations for this clear and honest review. I was really hesitating between these two headphones. I come from the senn TW3, who have already had to go to technical service twice!! Now I have my new Technics AZ80 and I confirm EVERYTHING you have detailed in your review. The Technics are EXTRAORDINARY!! Thank you very much again for your detailed, quick and honest review. The best for you from Barcelona.
Love the AZ80’s they grew on me. They weren’t “loud”enough initially but they expose details in the music I did not notice before with other earbuds.. I have airpod pro 2, soundcore NC 4, liberty 3 pro and had Sony Xm4 but returned them due to ear irritation. Technics sound so clear they are now my go to - even at the gym.
My biggest preference in earbuds is the rumble/immersiveness they can give (without sounding muddy ofc), which so far the MTW3 were my favorites. Would you say the Technics are better for that compared to MTW3/4 (or maybe you know an even better one)?
Sent my MTW4 back today and picked up the AZ-80. Youre definitely on point with your opinions. The sound, for me, the mtw4 does sound a bit crisper but the bass is lack luster. The AZ-80 on the other hand the bass is damn good and balance. And the transparency mode is absolutely better than the MTW4.
I had the AZ80 and sent them straight back. The Sound is lacklustre. Sennheiser MTW3 beat them hands down. Denon perl pro are the best sounding of all.
This is a hard one. I have A-B testing these. TW4 much better for ANC but much worse for transparency - no only a hissing but an occasional crackling. AZ80 has better connection, even on LDAC. TW4 for me gave a better fit (the wings are great) but the tips are rubbish. AZ80 case is much nicer. Controls are good on both and well configurable but AZ80 seems less prone to accidental touches. For all that I would go with the AZ80s. But the sound quality on Android is streets ahead on the TW4. Actually, not really the sound quality - they are both very close (once you have sold your soul and done the sound personalisation on the TW4) - but the soundstage is so much wider, even using LDAC on the 80s. Tough decision and the return window is approaching!!! I do think you should try them on Android. There is a noticeable difference on a higher bandwidth codex than on iOS (I use both)
I was all ready to buy the Sennheiser’s, but after this quick and through review I’m leaning towards the Technics AZ 80’s. Thanks Fredo, you saved me some grief.
I originally bought the Momentum TW3, had quite a few issues and after about a year one earbud just stopped working. Sennheiser replaced them with the Momentum TW4, those lasted about 7 months and were better at first, but then crapped out again. Am now waiting on another replacement from them
I had the Technics AZ80 for a week... I N S A N E, the first time I listened to my usual rock music, I was blown away... now I know how good looks like for earbuds! Thanks a lot for sharing these reviews
5:13 In Sennheiser MTW3 I can do a single tap to pause music+turn on transparency without any jingle. Technics cannot do that AFAIK, and this is for me a deal breaker, as I want to be able to talk to people at the gym quickly, without removing a bud. Sennheiser has AptX, which has the best tradeoff between bitrate load and sound quality. Technics does not. (I'm an Android user) Agreed with the rest of your thoughts.
@@lukaszklopotek do you mean to press the button to turn on transparency mode and it pauses the music in the process? In that case, the technics can do that. You just have to switch the transparency mode from full transparencyl to awareness
Thanks for the review, you are enthusiastic. Some strong claims there. That many other reviewers are liars. I am sure some of them might say you are the liar. The fact is everything is subjective and I see some experienced reviewers say the Sennheiser 4 Momentum are the best earbuds at least when it comes to sound, better than the Technics AZ 80 and all other competitors, while others say the Sony 1000XM5 are the best, others again claim the Airpods Pro 2 are the best, and others again say the Jabra Elite 10 are the best. On top of this you have many who claim the Denon are the best of all. I believe it all comes down to personal preference because no earbuds are perfect in every category. For some ANC is important, for others it is unimportant. For some sound is King, for others it is comfort. For some bulky earbuds are a no-no regardless of quality, for others it is unimportant as long as quality is high. And you will find fanboys of all varieties on UA-cam downtalking competitors (focusing on problems with certain buds and falsely saying they are bad overall) and uptalking their chosen earbuds (conveniently forgetting to mention downsides). I think we just have to accept that this is the way it is in 2024, because there are a lot of quality products out there, and make our personal selections based on testing and our own judgement and preferences.
I've had 3 pairs of MTW3 and now the second pair of the Mater broke down - main issue: first crackling noise mostly in the right bud that leads to total failure of the bud after a couple of days.
Your videos made me want to hate the Sennheiser 4s but thinking independently I still gave them a shot and after actually using them in the real world for a few weeks I love them most. I'm an athlete and a musician so I'm able to have a slightly different perspective I tried the technics and Sony buds but I like these best with the slight white noise being the only negative for me. But I'm an android user and I also rarely keep my buds in my ear when I'm not using them so that's not a big deal to me personally.
I put comply foam tips on nearly all my buds. (Currently own 13 different sets) I have Momentum 3 not 4 (everyone including Senny say it's same sound profile) and AZ80. I would say the AZ80 are the better buds in every way, except possibly sound quality. TW3 sound improves with comply and after sound customisation. AZ80 are more balanced 'audiophile' sound. TW3 more bass heavy but very impressive and personally I would give TW3 the win on sound....just, but not in any other area. If sound is your main priority buy the older TW3 and save some money, better still is the Status Between 3 ANC which is MUCH better than TW3 or AZ80 for sound. Devialet Gemini and oppo Enco X2 also both better for sound than either of these buds imho.
I both have the earbuds and with personalized sound with MTW4 the AZ-80 is not even close MTW4 is by far the best quality sound when you have it personalized. and stop scaring people that they are selling their data when they use personalized sound in MTW4 because you are already selling your data to IG,FB and UA-cam and other social media.. the only downside in Sennheiser since I've owned MTW 1,2 ,3 and now 4 is they will only last for 10 to 11 months you'd be lucky if they last more than a year. Idk if Sennheiser is doing it on purpose or it's program to break but the issue is left earbuds will always die and I'm not talking about dead battery it sound will start breaking up on the left earbuds then all of a sudden it's completely broken no sound or whatsoever it happened to all my MTW 1,2 and 3 and I'm using my earbuds heavily at work and gym so if your buying the Sennheiser make sure you buy that warranty because dealing with manufacturer warranty was terrible.
i ended up going with the jabra elite 10s after trying a bunch of different buds. they are just so comfortable with such awesome clean powerful bass and nice tiny case. got them on sale for $200 and they blow my momentum 4s and quiet comfort ultras out of the water. how come you didnt like them? theyre sooo good.
Had them for a week, used them on long bus ride to Boston (12 hours round trip) etc etc Weren’t a great fit for my ear shape (always felt they were sliding out a little ) probably due to silicone coating. They’re not “bad” buds and they’ve since got a software update so I should retest them in 2024. Which color way did you pick up?
@@Fredo.heavyy hmm I responded but my comment is gone? UA-cam has been weird with comments lately.. they auto delete half my comments I think 🤣 I got the matte black and they're on sale right now for $200. The comfort is actually what shocked me the most about them. Love that soft rubber feel and I like the tips. The full sound and powerful bass is what kept me coming back to them though
@@Fredo.heavyy they sound horrible with their stock eq presets. Had to play with the eq and boy! it changed the sound drastically. Haven't seen an earbud with such bad default eqs/presets ever. I too had problem with the stock tips. I inserted sony wfxm4 spare foam eartips and they fit better. They fit better with normal silicon tips too. Stock tips aren't good for me.
I can contest that the Sennheiser I had a few years ago, I think may 2 or 3. They sound great but the case and buds would not hold a charge and that was a no go for me. It was very frustrating not being able to listen to my music for more than a couple of hours. Got the AZ-80 and refused to look back. Great review!!
So, you didn't put in the MTW4s with a twist? Only with the AZ80s? The instructions state to give them a twist to have a snug fit and with great sound. And with the MTW4s, you can hold on the edge w/o touching the sensor. This is a horrible review of the MTW4s.
This is kinda horrible comment. Watch the video again, you can twist the MTWS4 till you’re blue in the face, they don’t have an ergonomic fit, just hard lines and mediocre fin There are many buds I have that allow you to insert and adjust better than the MTWS4. Your experience may vary and that’s ok.
It’s possible maybe in Q4 of 2024. I usually go with white earbuds so when I’m in the gym people can clearly see I’m listening to music and won’t bother me 😅 The silver AZ80 look great IRL
Even though I have the Technics eah800 Headphones, and currently own the soundcore liberty 3 pros, I wanted to upgrade from the liberty's- in your opinion what is better the latest Bose qc ultra buds or the Az80's?.
The Bose Ultra have a lot of issue (here in the US). They lose connection, the left ear developed a buzz. If you are outside of the US and like best ANC then Bose Ultra, if not AZ80z
I use Bose QC II , very good ANC and I like the sound. Problem are there is no multipoint connection and occasional dropped connection. So if I were you go for the AZ80. Mine is UK version QC II
Fredo, can you tell me your absolute favorite earbuds if I had to choose one or two? I use the Meze Advar IEM’s with an Astell & Kern Kann Max mostly and when working out at the gym an iFi go blu with iPhone 15 Pro. I’m a Hi Res audiophile! Thanks for your reviews and time.
Thank you so much. I just ordered a pair and this put me at ease 😃 I had the senn 3’s and I sent em back. They were so overrated. Was hoping the 4’s got better but clearly has the same issues I was having with the 3’s. I also have the Bang and Olufsen 400$ pair, sound amaaaazing but the connectivity issues are so terrible I’m just sick of them constantly disconnecting and pausing music whenever the bud slips out a tiny bit. Very excited to get these! 🙏
It's the best sounding of all of them. I had all of them for comparison. But sending them back because they are too expensive. Battery will degrade over time and battery life starts at meh. If I pay $450 then I expect to kept them for more than 5 years.
Very nice mids and highs, but although the bass is very punchy, there is not much rumble (like the MTW3/4 have) so I personally didn't like them and returned them to stick with my MTW3. So it depends on your music taste. The Devialet were more comfortable tho and a lot smaller. The ANC on the Devialet were ok but not great
@@nulla9601 I understand. The rumble was as good as my mtw3. But the big difference was the technicalities. Awesome imaging and separation in the Gemini 2. Matched or exceeded all my iems $400 or below
Could you do a comparison between oppo enco x2 and senheisser momentum tws4?. I know they fall into completely different price brackets. But that's exactly why they should be compared. Because as per all the reviews i have seen both have fantastic sound quality. And there is no comparison video between the two.
@@Fredo.heavyy - I think that's what DHRME mentioned. And mostly happened with rock music, so that's why the AZ 80 couldn't be his daily driver. Are you having similar experiences?
People at BestBuy weren't around to open the case, so went to a competitor and they had the AZ80's which weren't available at bb. Watching this review before opening them and testing 😅 Hope the review and comments solidify my choice. I get it, but it's a real shame $250+ earphones can't be tested in store or returned. It can be a gamble.
Change out the default silicone eartips on the MTs for foam tips like the ones from Comply. The difference is night and day. I don't have the Technics (maybe my next purchase?), but the MTs (with foam tips) sound better than everything else I have (Apple, Sony, Samsung, B&W, Bose). Edit: don't have the Denon's either and I've heard they're amazing, but not really interested in wearing earrings in public tbh.
While I absolutely agree AZ80 sound better, I'm not sure if using an iPhone you'll get the best test for these two earbuds, LDAC and Aptex HD make quite a difference and while you hear the general sound Sig, you're definitely not getting the best out of either using AAC, iPhones really only sound decent with the white ones on spacial audio
Can you do a review on the Nothing Ear (2) ? That would be very interesting, especially against your Tozo Golden X1 And secondly, would you say that the Technics AZ80 even surpass the Airpods Pro 2 USB C ?
Sorry anything surprises airpods 2 lmfao that's such a flat sound it sound be compare to these guys. It's not even close you can even get 70 dollar earbuds with ldac an it would still sound better.😂😂
Would you say the az80s are great for intense exercising? I have the sony xm5s and 4s and theyre great except the tips get gross if they accumulate sweat. Trying to find excellent sound quality and noise cancelation + can handle abuse from training.
The XM5 are awful for working out, surprised yours haven’t melted from the sweat. You gotta get third part tips like Spin Fit Omni. I use the AZ80 for work outs, the ear tip contains a foam insert that really protects from sweat/ear wax. Check out third party ear tips for your XM5 before jumping to AZ80.
It drives me nuts because I also live in New York City, and It gets annoying when you hear somebody in the other answer. I cannot hear and say that you sound far away or like a payphone, etc. What can I recommend me, MTW 4 or AZ80? When it comes to calling quality, I watched your video. Regarding call quality, I had difficulty deciding which one to use; I'm not a fan of Apple, but I have an Android.
Excellent and accurate review. Thank you! Question: I lost the charging case to my AZ80s, and can’t find how to replace it. $300 earbuds are now unusable! Any idea where to find a replacement case?
Love your comparison; I am a DJ, interested and considering purchasing a pair but have you compared them with Dre beats? I've tried couple of the beats, Beats Fit Pro nice sound, but very uncomfortable to the ear; Beats Studio buds, kind of bolky. Just recently returning the EarFun Air 3, didn't like the sound it provided. What's your take on the Dre Beats?
Have the EX2, AZ80, MTW4 and Ap Pro2. I bought the 4s against your advise simply because there's more info out now the has opposite views. Sound wise the EX2 is the best, loud, crisp and bassy, second for me is the MTW4. I don't have the MTW3s so I don't care how they compare because for me it's a fresh start and I just judge them on their own. I place the MT4s first for overall package, firstly that they fit the best of my group, and have much more features than the EX2s which have virtually zero ANC. This is my experience with these buds. Hopefully I don't have any qc issues with the MTW4s because otherwise I honestly think they're pretty amazing.
@@Fredo.heavyy I have an iPhone so the app eq doesn't do much and surprisingly the sound personalization is the best option and sound very good to me. I also use the eq settings in spotify which boost everything. Plz share which ear tips you put on the MTW4s.
@@Gemneye6no earbud is worth what the companies are charging. If you buy Chinese buds you'll know what im talking about. They can sound the same with 3 times less the price. We are being robbed, kind of. But out of everything, sennheiser is more worthy its price
Why Elite 10 are trash? I can recall only a couple issue outlined in your review 4 months ago - silicone coating & accidental touches. But as you rightfully mentioned - these may be not an issue for others depending on their anatomy and style of use. So I'm a bit confused here now.
To be fair I’m looking to retest them but as of right now the sound isn’t better than the AZ80 or even the Tozo Golden X1. Also the Jabra Elite 10 mic wasn’t great for calls, is there a software update that fixes this issue?
@@Fredo.heavyy I don't know about SW updates, because just considering them to buy 🙂 I'm really willing to end up with buds that could be switched on and off independently of the case (and are overall good ofc). Or wait a year or two if nothing decent found.
@@winb83 Thanks for sharing. Oval tips are something I'm curious to try myself to understand if they fit me. I had not great experience with round tips in the past - they gently pop out over time due to jaw movement etc.
Jabras have had an update recently and fixed more than 10 issues. There is a whole list. Like loads of improvements. The bass is great with Poweramp EQ app.
Nice vid bro. Just recently got the TW4 and it's good. I can understand loving it if all you care about is sound quality and not much else but I agree it's not the overall best option for the $300 category. One quick question I hope you'll be able to help me out with. Anytime I take phonecalls it automatically switches and stays in full ANC mode and for the life of me I can seem to figure out how to get it to stay in transparency mode cause the toggle just stays grayed out. You happen to have any advice how to fix that? Trying to get it to work 100% how I want so I can give it an honest run but so far I'm not super impressed

Galaxy Buds Pro 2 sound like a trash can compared to the MTW4. I can't speak for the AZ80 yet as I wait for Black Friday to buy them. Sennheiser QC is trash, I have my 5th pair in 7 months and something breaks every time.
I had the Nothing Ear 1 and they were cool (design). Wasn’t blown away by sound etc. I know the news one have smaller case but did they fix the connection issue?
@@Fredo.heavyy in looking for good sound...others ANC or Multipoint connection doesn't matter to me.. Currently i heard Ear 2 solve that also DMS was tunning the sound for them...im looking forward to heard your review nothing ear 2 and compare to Technic AZ80
Great review. I just want to add that after 4 failed Sennheiser pairs of ear buds I gave up because of their awful QA. Technics is my new go to earbud.
I went through two sennheiser earbuds both of them faulty on the left one, I just returned my sennheiser momentum 3 today, the left side is dead hardly used. Love the sound but the reliability is very questionable. The sennheiser replaced by warranty but it just not reliable. I'm looking into technics or the sony xm5 now.
I bought the sennheisers and I'm disappointed. Gonna try to return them. Beoplay ex are the best sounding buds I own. Curious about those technics though
coming from Airpod Pro 1, I tried AirPod Pro 2, Bose QuietComf Ultra and the Sennheiser True Wireless 4. Sennheiser sound came on the top. I agree about being bulky but it is my fav, so far. Have not tried the Tech AZ80
Hey man, I'm late to the party but I just found you and gotta say what a great fkn review! I'm comin straight back to you any time now for my audio reviews. I'm currently researching buds, headed out to purchase some later today and I'm fairly confident you sold me on the AZ80 but i had just one question, how do they stack up against the XM5? Comfort/fit, ANC and sound are my priorities and I'm on an S23+. I love my XM5 and BW PX7S2E cans, but the only bud experience i have are Buds2 Pro and BW Pi7S2. TL:DR lol would you rec the AZ80 over XM5? Thx again take care Edit: My bad, while I got you, if you don't mind, just simply one or the other for overall in all categories, would you choose the XM5 or PX7S2E cans, AFAF from a more educated experienced 2nd opinion
So I use my XM5 with these tips and they're great amzn.to/46XdSSQ Sony has more EQ and natural volume than AZ80, AZ80 have a burn in period but im very happy with them after a year of use. Either of these buds should satisfy you, also haven't tested the PX7S2E so don't have any info on that rn.
It's been almost two weeks since I contacted support to resolve a headphone mtw3 warranty issue. Other than “We appreciate you contacting us,” I heard nothing else. So draw your own conclusions, guys. Regarding the quality of Sennheiser customer service. I lost all desire to do business with them and continue to buy their products.
100% agree with the reliablity issues with the MT3's.. Had a warranty claim (that wasn't easy to get worked but did after weeks) with one bud, and 6 months later, the other bud has same issue of not charging...Think i am still under the 2 year but will be throwing them away... Sound however is amazing compared to all (tried sony xm4 which were weak), Jabra - weak. AZ80's, any issues?
The truth is that brand new out the box you might “think” they’re quiet. But put them in +super bass EQ and play your favorite genre, they burn in very nicely. I have no complaints w/ volume and I test them side by side w/ all major buds
I agree that the MTW4 has issues regarding ANC and the hissing noise, but much of this video is pure bias in favor of the AZ80. I mean, “the wing on the mtw4 only does so much”, and just biasly ignoring ip ratings and even changing the subject and giving the win to the AZ80 🤣
great review. All of my sennheiser buds (mtw2&3) died or stopped working after about 6 months to a year. They sound nice but don't last long at all. I'll never buy a sennheiser product again.
Hello, I used mtw2 before and I was extremely satisfied. I was cycling for hours and it still did not fall out of my ears. mtw2 broke down, they sent me mtw3, it didn't fit my ear at all and it was falling out of my ear while doing sports. I had the same problems with Airpods pro 2 and sold the product I'm looking for a headset with good music quality and transparency mode that won't fall out of my ears, which one would you recommend?
Have the TW4, AZ80 and B&W PI 8. If i only looking for the best sound, the TW4 is the best after tuning with wavelet and aktivated aptx adaptive. All three very good. The Pi 8 after long use, is to boring in sound for my ears
I had both and I returned the AZ80's and let the MTW4. Better fit for me and better ANC. Sound was slightly better on the AZ80's but what good is that if they weren't comfortable for me. Senns all the way.
The latest firmware update puts the sennheiser ahead of the others for anc. A slight increase in the top end and these shine. AZ80 is great. Sony is great if it fits (fits me)
Please review MTW4 again with the updated firmware. They fixed a lot of software bugs. And if you have a new phone that supports AptX Lossless, it's a big step up from your regular compressed bluetooth sound. *sorry, iphone users are out of luck with lossless audio over bluetooth AAC* MTW4 actually has more faithful natural sound, not over bassy, and not over sharp. MTW4 is more inline with the IE200/300/600 line of sound.
They are really good, ANC and sound, but expensive. Just dont buy the Devialet Version 1, even not at discount, they still have massive battery drain problems with this version.
I agree with with you. I own both earbuds, AZ80 and MTW4, the latter is replaced by the malfunctioned MTW3 by the repair center.I don't find the MTW4 any/ may be little improvement in sound quality. I still love the AZ80, stable connectivity on LDAC, just lose a horse-nose in sound quality when compare with the pricey US$499 Svanar wireless.
I had the Momentum 3 and they were my favorite sounding buds... but they failed, just like the reviews you've mentioned. After seeing so many reviews about poor quality control, I can't bring myself to purchase the Momentum 4 that is obviously a repackaged 3. I'm giving the Technics a shot.
FREDO I HAVE THE TECHNICS AZ60 WHAT EARBUD TIPS DO YOU RECOMMEND ME USING SO I CAN KEEP MY BUDS IN MY EARS, I BOUGHT THE TW-400-C TIPS BUT STILL CAN'T KEEP THE BUDS IN MY EARS..
Awesome review been waiting on a comparison on these two... Just by ergonomics, praticality and comfort ...AZ 80 wins hands down for me and 3 device multipoint connection is such a nice feature ..it means you can connect to your phone, tablet and laptop at same time seamlessly
I don't understand why sennheiser doesn't produce good tips It makes no sense, i too had to swap out tips multiple times cause these buds always find a way to be uncomfortable despite the comfortable design.

@@paulatkins2825Really? I feel the opposite. Emphatically.
I purchased the AZ80 and I’m returning them to get the MTW4 instead.
Interesting, what led you to that choice?
I originally bought the Momentum TW3, had quite a few issues and after about a year one earbud just stopped working. Sennheiser replaced them with the Momentum TW4, those lasted about 7 months and were better at first, but then crapped out again. Am now waiting on another replacement from them
I had the Technics AZ80 for a week... I N S A N E, the first time I listened to my usual rock music, I was blown away... now I know how good looks like for earbuds! Thanks a lot for sharing these reviews
What did you have before?
@@nulla9601 AirPods Pro 2
Even the ANC I found more performant the technics probably because they are earbuds covering the entire ear
(I'm an Android user)
Agreed with the rest of your thoughts.
You're correct, I appreciate that feature on the MTWS3/4.
What android device do you have?
@@Fredo.heavyy Currently Samsung S24.
Same here! Once I tried that feature - it is also gonna be a deal breaker for me if missing.
@@lukaszklopotek do you mean to press the button to turn on transparency mode and it pauses the music in the process?
In that case, the technics can do that. You just have to switch the transparency mode from full transparencyl to awareness
@@ola946 Thanx for info! Is there any jingle or speech while switching to awareness mode or can you turn them off?
Sennheiser has a serious QA issue. Every one of the 4 Momentums I owned has failed within a year. I now use the AZ80s and love them.
Can you try the MTW4 with comply foam tips and tell me if it changes your opinion on them soundwise??
Mediocre German garbage
Had them for a week, used them on long bus ride to Boston (12 hours round trip) etc etc
Weren’t a great fit for my ear shape (always felt they were sliding out a little ) probably due to silicone coating.
They’re not “bad” buds and they’ve since got a software update so I should retest them in 2024.
Which color way did you pick up?
@@Fredo.heavyy hmm I responded but my comment is gone? UA-cam has been weird with comments lately.. they auto delete half my comments I think 🤣
I got the matte black and they're on sale right now for $200.
I love your videos. Is there a pair you prefer over the az80?
Watch the video again, you can twist the MTWS4 till you’re blue in the face, they don’t have an ergonomic fit, just hard lines and mediocre fin
There are many buds I have that allow you to insert and adjust better than the MTWS4.
Your experience may vary and that’s ok.

do you think we will see an AZ-80 mk2? also, you chose white over black on AZ's? curious why? 🙂thx
It’s possible maybe in Q4 of 2024.
I usually go with white earbuds so when I’m in the gym people can clearly see I’m listening to music and won’t bother me 😅

I hope they won't come so soon, otherwise this year's purchases will become worthless.
Lol these questions never get answered sadly
Thank you so much. I just ordered a pair and this put me at ease 😃 I had the senn 3’s and I sent em back. They were so overrated. Was hoping the 4’s got better but clearly has the same issues I was having with the 3’s. I also have the Bang and Olufsen 400$ pair, sound amaaaazing but the connectivity issues are so terrible I’m just sick of them constantly disconnecting and pausing music whenever the bud slips out a tiny bit. Very excited to get these! 🙏
What do you think of the Devialet Gemini 2 fleas?
It's the best sounding of all of them. I had all of them for comparison. But sending them back because they are too expensive. Battery will degrade over time and battery life starts at meh. If I pay $450 then I expect to kept them for more than 5 years.
Very nice mids and highs, but although the bass is very punchy, there is not much rumble (like the MTW3/4 have) so I personally didn't like them and returned them to stick with my MTW3.
So it depends on your music taste.
The Devialet were more comfortable tho and a lot smaller.
The ANC on the Devialet were ok but not great
@@nulla9601
I understand.
What are your thoughts on anc and transparency with these 2 buds?
Both are good, AZ80 is better.
This is exactly what i was looking for, thank you!
*Edit*: I can't wait to order my Technics AZ80'S :)
Nice comparison video!
I'm just curious if you experienced the same issue DHRME had mentioned with your Technics AZ 80?
The electric guitar distortion?
@@Fredo.heavyy - I think that's what DHRME mentioned. And mostly happened with rock music, so that's why the AZ 80 couldn't be his daily driver.
Are you having similar experiences?

@@Fredo.heavyy yes
People at BestBuy weren't around to open the case, so went to a competitor and they had the AZ80's which weren't available at bb.
Watching this review before opening them and testing 😅 Hope the review and comments solidify my choice.
I get it, but it's a real shame $250+ earphones can't be tested in store or returned. It can be a gamble.
AZ80 are great buds, I use them everyday for almost a year now and they still sound and fit great.
What is your opinion on the Beoplay ex are they worth a look?.
They are worth a look, but you'd be better off with the Denon PerL Pro
Have you tried the Denon PerL Pro or Nuratrue pro?
Pearl Pro is a game changer for me.
White ones on spacial audio? What is that?
I've had my AZ80s for almost a year now & the volume doesn't seem as loud as it use to be.
Can you do a review on the Nothing Ear (2) ?
That would be very interesting, especially against your Tozo Golden X1
And secondly, would you say that the Technics AZ80 even surpass the Airpods Pro 2 USB C ?
Is it worth it to upgrade from az60m2 to az80?.
Haven’t tried the az60m2 so can’t say to be honest

Why Elite 10 are trash? I can recall only a couple issue outlined in your review 4 months ago - silicone coating & accidental touches. But as you rightfully mentioned - these may be not an issue for others depending on their anatomy and style of use. So I'm a bit confused here now.

Awesome review been waiting on a comparison on these two... Just by ergonomics, praticality and comfort ...AZ 80 wins hands down for me and 3 device multipoint connection is such a nice feature ..it means you can connect to your phone, tablet and laptop at same time seamlessly
I don't understand why sennheiser doesn't produce good tips
It makes no sense, i too had to swap out tips multiple times cause these buds always find a way to be uncomfortable despite the comfortable design.
