It's funny, the ropes are supposed to control her emotions, but seeing her friend get hurt made the ropes useless and she unlocked the power in her heart to protect everyone she holds dear
Exactly. There’s a theory that even then she was still being limited by the ropes and that if they were to actually be removed, she would be even stronger.
