I hear you! Neither did I until I moved down from Chicago 1996-1998 - The job working for HUD which exposed me to Nine (9) Southern States! Back when I was in the Army years 1978-1981 stationed in Frankfurt, West Germany. I had an easier time communicates via the language barrior of German then I did with those people living in the south! Blew my mind that MLK is actually born and raised there?
Lord knows I only want to be Happy with a faithful, hardworking , considerate husband, have self love first, make sure my daughter is safe and taken care of and able to succeed in life, I just want a simple happy, healthy life.
Atlanta is not the same I agree, was great growing up in the late 80s now it sucks!!!!!! the job market is over saturated with educated folks that take far less pay than deserved so they expect everyone to take less due to the desperation to find a good job!!! A degree means nothing in the ATL its who you know, not what you know, I say move to Houston, TX not Atlanta good video👍
If you watch any of those reality TV shows (Real Housewives ...), it appears that the only thing people in Atlanta do is sit around and be fabulous. No one I know lives like that.
Certain resource agencies go out of their way to make it very hard for ppl. When I moved here 10 years ago, I could not understand why so many crazy ppl were walking the streets. Now I understand that this is partly the reason why. Ppl go insane asking for help over and over again only to be given the goddamn run around.
Patrice M Foster yes back in the 90s I was hearing. That Atlanta was the place to be .I have thought it was long story short.i move to Atlanta I was homeless in ATL. I stayed at Peachtree and pine shelter before it closed and other shelters in Atlanta. And Atlanta like use say it's a barrel. Allot of illegal stuff going on in Atlanta. It's like this .my experience in Atlanta. People have to come to Atlanta with a plan .Atlanta is not a place of milk and honey. If a person don't have a plan .Atlanta will tear there ass up.im speaking from experience
Speak up, Preach up, Never give up and Bless Up! I witnesses so much disrespect and disdain in the work places there. The hate, massive jealousy and cruelty was real. People falsely trying to connect to you to use you. The slave crazy mentallity. Neighbors and ex boyfriends stalking and cooping you 24/7. It's like a gang of thugs in the work place. Once I hear your from Atlanta I ran. Fast far and towards freedom. It's not a place for articulate, worthy, hard working people. Also please don't be to attractive and get attention. For you will be ostracized, demoralised as the naysayers criticize. I prayed to leave and never return to the slum state or city of pity. The clique and vibes were real. I had my car broken into @ work. Just because I was quite and shared no information. The coworkers decided that they were going to find out about me anyway. Sad for I never felt safe there. Very disconnected from everyone. For I didn't fit in because I didn't smoke, party every wknd, turn up, sleep around, be unprofessional on the job. The jobs that try to bully you and control you. I so Hated the mentality of those ghouks out there it was unreal. They can keep it. Very overated us a mass understatement.
Khrisking Tv, Educated professional or not your path will be difficulty unless you know someone. Its who you know....They can vouched for you. Which is very hard, Sure buy the home you want but secure the job first. You have the degrees and experiences and still struggling to find work. Ridiculous!
Patrice M Foster Thank you for sharing this with me because I have heard it has a tight job market and its about who you know, I guess my bet is to go somewhere with not many connection requirements👍😊😘💯
Atlanta is a struggle for everyone. Old and young keep going ...
Truth. Girl just left there after living there for 2 yrs. I'm also a nurse and i realized real quick that Atlanta is a hard knock life.
Monica Jackson, It only takes you 2 years to get out. The struggle will be long if it's not realized early!
I like that you shouted out the Caribbean’s, we stay with those blue barrels 😂
So true. The people from Atlanta are closed minded like you said. I never knew that black people could be prejudice until I moved here.

James Jones, Thank you for your honesty, this lets me know I am not the only one experiencing this distorted place.
It sure was the bomb back then. Once 2000 came, ATL started to turn into something very unfamiliar.

Great vid, do you think young educated professionals should consider moving to Atlanta or buying a home in the area?
