explanation: so when barry was young, he heard something downstairs and like everybody probably in that situation, they would go downstairs and he saw 2 colors, yellow and red like lighting around his mom which lead to her death. and his father was put and jail for the police to think he killed her. like 20 years later: barry is now a detective and is trying to figure out what, how, and who killed his mom. he goes to this particle accelerator party which explodes, flashes barry with lightning and puts him in a coma, and then when he wakes up, he gains super speed. He goes to a science lab named star labs, with dr harrison wells, the guy who made the particle accelerator. the next like 15 episodes are just barry and the star labs team (harrison wells, Cisco ramon and Caitlin Snow) defeating other meta humans (people that got special powers from the particle explosion) but then on one episode he and his dad (barry was basically adopted by him ) (who is also a police officer and works with barry) but they want to find out what, how, who killed his mom. so here, the video they go the house his mom was killed and they check the blood, the blood was barry’s and harrison well’s blood it couldn’t have been barry when he was younger because it had something in it (i forget what’s it’s called) that you can only get when your older, so it was barry and harrison wells fighting and barry (old barry) was trying to save his mom.
Ngl i was almost crying when i watch last episode of season 1 when flash go back in time to save his mom but then his future self stopping him telling him not to interrupt the timeline

The short answer is not Future Flash more like The Original Flash So here's an explanation so according to Eobard Thawne's origin he tries to be the hero by saving lives in central city but Future Flash kick in and save the people instead of Eobard Thawne and completely embarrased himself. When that happens Eobard Thawne felt so much hatred towards Future Barry so Eobard Thawne decided to travel back in time to kill Kid Barry but problem is Future Flash figured out Eobard Thawne plans so he follows Eobard Thawne and tried to stop him. So Future Flash stops Eobard Thawne from killing Kid Barry so Future Flash left before the time wraith reached him but Eobard Thawne didn't, he failed killing Kid Flash so he just decided to kill Barry's Mom, But killing Barry's mom creates an alternate timeline where the Future Flash vanished because of Eobard Thawne so basically the Series we are watching right now is an Alternate The Flash. ITS COMPLICATED
Seasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 were all good. 1 had the most suspense in it, keeping the identity of the Reverse Flash secret for so long and the knowledge of who killed Barry’s mother secret for so long as well was really great. 2 was pretty sick as well. Zoom was like a whole new level of speedster, and it’s our first glimpse at unnatural speed. It had good writing as well. 3 was really sick with Savitar, and it was our first experience with two big bads: Alchemy and Savitar. It was good writing, and the thought that they beat Alchemy just for someone even worse to appear was pretty awesome, especially when we found out that Savitar was future Barry. 4 was good. It was definitely a change of pace, not having a new speedster as the big bad. The writing was still decent as well, so overall, not too bad. 5 was actually not horrible. The writing was pretty trash, but the whole idea of an enemy who could take your powers away was pretty cool. Plus, Sherloque Wells was a funny addition and it made the season a lot more enjoyable. 6 was kinda trash. The whole thing with Ramsey and the black ooze and zombie style was kinda cool, but Eva sort of ruined it. The mirror dimension was unnecessary. Really, the only thing that help up the season was Chester. Dude is hilarious. 7 was dog shit. I don’t need to go any further. 8 uhhhh… CGI was uninvented I think. 9 the new season. Haven’t seen any of it. Not too interested. Lemme know if it’s good though cuz I need something to watch.

You first have kid Barry, which is the timeline all the future flashes have came to, the night his mom dies You have the future flash, who went back in time to save kid barry from reverse flash, which caused the moms death instead Then you have the Barry that goes and creates flashpoint, after the Barry who save himself as a kid leaves the house Then you have another future Barry who is post flashpoint, that’s the one that tells the past Barry to do nothing and lets the mom die
