Yes, don't worry, we have several more videos for the Kilian jornet series. This is like the Netflix docuseries, you want the next episode to come... 😉
Just think that at this moment the paper with the scientific study is about to be launched.
I'll tell you in advance (this is going to be a bit of a spoiler) that there are no magic methods, it is based on special genetics, continuous training, and a diet that restricts free sugars and their chronic inflammatory effects to the maximum.
In Jesús Alvarez's studies, much importance is being given to the effect of the microbiota on the body's ability to recover in Kilian.

@@go90north So what will the video that actually deals with how Kilimanjaro Jornet fuels his insane alpine adventure be called? Running shoe advice from Kilian Jornet?

Nutritional ketosis, I believe. His body uses visceral and dietary fats to fuel his efforts. His metabolism is adapted so that he doesn’t require carbs (glycogen) for energy. There are many other ultra athletes who have gone down the keto route with great success!

i would have to check precisely what Uli did back then but i bet the itineraries are not comparable. full routes vs. traverse, but again has to be analyzed precisely. i remember e.g. that Uli did the north face of Eiger in full. I don;t know what Killian did with Eiger, from the ground up or as a traverse...ofc im not questioning here what Killian did which is an absolute great achievement. just the way different experiences are compared.

Yes, and Kilian mentioned that in an interview. Breaking the record was primarily a matter of logistics. He traversed between summits, while Uli set up camps in the massifs and climbed the 4,000-meter peaks in the area. Their approaches were different, making direct comparisons difficult, but both achievements are truly remarkable.
