    I was only 2 years old when he won his first title, and I wasn't even born when he turned professional in 1998. And he's still here winning titles. Can't find words to describe this man anymore, all I can say is congratulations and I'm so happy to have grown up watching the greatest of all time playing, and to have seen most of those wins since 2007! Roger Federer, thank you, a true legend and inspiration for everyone alive.

    What I love about Federer also is he always played smaller tournaments even in his prime as well besides all the Masters 1000 and Grand Slams unlike some other players ( Djokovic) . I think its because he actually really cares about all his fans all across the globe and doesn't base tournaments just off of prize money and ranking points.

      Djokovic is the GOAT. Federer has a losing H2H over both Nadal and Djokovic, so he can't be the GOAT. Nadal leads Federer 23-15 (including 8-5 in outdoor hard courts) and Djokovic leads Federer 25-22.

    Federer may be overtaken in the Grand Slam count. Federer may not be called the best or GOAT by the time the Big 3 retire. However if we're focusing purely on tennis talent; he has the most technical and complete strokes of all time. If you were going to look at every shot in the book and rank who out of the Big 3 is best at each stroke, Federer would get the most votes followed by Djokovic and Nadal.

    • @GarriTrooper
      @GarriTrooper 6 років тому +6

      Djokovic is just king of the groundstrokes. I would say Nadal would be number two based on technique.

      Yeah I accept that he won't be the ultimate GOAT with Djokovic setting record after record and if Rafa stays heathy for the next 4 years he will win 4 more French Opens. But Federer will always be my favorite no matter what just an absolute joy to watch.

      There's no way Rafa or Nole will sustain their levels beyond 34-35, their game is too physical. They have a couple of good years left, maybe 3 at most. Stefanos is no slouch, against Rafa or Nole this would have been a very tight match. Feds ability to strike the ball so early is uncanny, he would have won against any opponent tonight.
