The reason not many have heard of Stan is because he comes from the Land of the Long White Cloud, Aotearoa, New Zealand on the other side of the world. But his voice is starting to make waves on your fair shore and the rest of the world. Your countrymen are certainly sitting up and paying attention.
Better be ready for the inevitable on slaught from the Whanau (Far-No means Family or collective group), Maori/Kiwi's who hold their national taonga (treasure), Stan, in very high regard.

Checkout the song he was commissioned to write after the Director Ava DuVernay was on a search to find someone new/different to write the seminal song for her latest movie "Origin". One of her Producer colleagues showed her Stan's cover of "Ultralight Beam", after watching it several times she went on Stan's IG to see if they had any mutual contacts, fortunately they had one. Ava immediately DM'd them, Chelsea Winstanley a NZ Producer, Chelsea contacted Stan and 24hrs later Stan was on the phone to Ava. The song was written, including the music video, performed, filmed, edited, produced and sent to Ava within 2 1/2 weeks of being given this opportunity. Ava was thrilled with the MV, only adding a few shots from the movie before releasing the song for the movie.
Not bad for a Maori boy (Indigenous Native of New Zealand). Anyway the song is called "I AM". Definitely worth listening too, make sure you have a box of tissues handy.
Also you might want to checkout his latest release "Maori ki te Ao".

Stan was born in Aotearoa NZ before moving to Australia with his family.....Now back again in his home country
I would definitely recommend watching Crowded House 'Don't Dream It's Over' (a really famous song) then watch Stan's version of it. You may be surprised to learn Stan has no stomach. He battled a very serious form of genetic cancer that took a lot of his family members, and removing his stomach was a life saving measure. He is one of the most talented singers you will ever hear, but he hasn't sold out to the music industry as he is cultivating his career on his own terms. He is a remarkable young man with a talent that is very rare. There is a documentary here on You Tube which tells the story of his health battles which I'm sure you'd really enjoy. Also, another real gem is his Australian Idol audition when he was 18 I believe. Enjoy!!!

Stan is singing a cover of Kanye Wests with a few words changed I believe. His version of Amazjng Grace, and I Am soundtrack to the movie Origin are definitely worth listening to. What makes Stan even more amazjng is the fact that he had majority of his stomach removed over 5 yrs ago due to cancer. He thought he would not regain his previous vocal range, but to me he has and is even better.
Thank you for sharing Stan's amazing journey. He is a true inspiration. Stan's voice is so good, it might just cure cancer!
