Sorry to see you had this trouble brother. I press my Supacolor transfers at 323 degrees for 17 seconds using the heaviest amount of pressure I can. And of course I do they hot peel. I use the HPN Signature Series Pro 16x20. I do a second press using the a teflon sheet for 10 seconds, just to make sure the transfer is in there good. Hope this helps
What’s good family. When I first started using Supacolor, I was running into this problem. But, I figured out strategy. It is nit an immediate peel. I’m not sure why Supacolor says it is. Any who, after pressing for 10 sec. I remove garment from under press and allow transfer to cool off for 2-4 mins. Then after I peel transfer, I put transfer back on press, turn temp to 360, because I also use other company that takes that temp, and I press it. By doing this, it’ll give it a polished look. Hope this helps! - Martivias Musa, Founder of 1997 Appeal Clothing
I am having the same issues and i though it was me. I mean I've adjusted temp, pressure, did the steps, timing, everything. The thing that seems to work better for me is peeling fast. It's not 100 accuracy but its better. I just would hate to buy somewhere else because i actually live near a supacolor office where I pick up my transfers and save on shipping. I have heard that certain things work for certain people and i think that may because of the type of designs. I did hear though that they actually have improved their product to peel better. Look it up.
I figured pressing it 4-5 times would be long enough for it to heat up. The design still tore in a few spots after it transfered... but, I got through it.
@@jbmdesignco.693 yes I thought same thing but it didn't work. Either way it should work as advertised I was hype about supacolor but I can't rely on then right now because of issues we had
Sorry to see you getting issues. I thought about getting prints from them. I wonder if storing in a humid space is contributing to the defects. If that's the case I would recommend a dehumidifier
2024 same issue, i wondered if it was because of not closing the ziplock. I had the prints work fine a week ago and they got all messed up today. Only thing i could think of is closing the print bag.
This has happened to me before and I have the same press as you. Press without the Teflon sheet it works better but if you want to keep the Teflon sheet on there you have to compensate for the heat it’s removing. So crank it 5-10 degrees higher and increase the time to 45 seconds. That worked out for me.
Thanks. I did everything except increase time, so I'll definitely try that if I run into this issue again. However, Supacolor called me themselves and I'll likely do a follow up video to this. I appreciate you!
That is correct. You should peel fast while it is still hot. However, I noticed with very small details in your design…you may need to peel the transfer sheet slowly to ensure the design is releasing from the carrier sheet. This is only when you’re worried about losing or messing up small details in your design like letters.
Great info and awesome 👏 content . did you increase the pressure? how do you store your heat transfers? I know some transfer companies recommend you store them in a temp controlled environment not in a basement or garage due to humidity. Apparently the humidity effects the ink.
@@jbmdesignco.693 wow thanks 🙏 for bringing this information to the community this is something that needs to be addressed. It sucks that you had go through an issue like this . This is going to make me test the transfers I ordered a few weeks ago to see if I have the same issues.
I pressed them all. I got through them. I had to do some hot peel/cold peel combos on the big and small text. I lost some details...but the order is out and the customer is happy...I'm over it. Im still using Supacolor for other customers though. Like is said in the video, my intentions were not to attack Supacolor and slander their name.
@@jbmdesignco.693 your good bro. Believe me just found that little part funny. Just wanted to take a look and take a look at the issue of you had some extra left. I got old ones personally that I’ve pressed at this point I can pull some a year later. Someone should be reaching out to you I checked to see if they had heard from you before the video. I’m always an advocate for using what works for you. We know some people around can’t get view without the name. Lol.
I had similar issue on a recent order. Had to do 10 scripted shirts, definitely frustrating when you are trying to be efficient. Overall like you I have loved their product, but yes they need to fix this, or let us know about issues with their product.
My business also had the same issue with our supa color transfers. We actually jad to peel fast but also our details are not as small as yours. I think that letting the transfers cool down before the peel helps a little. But yeah the issuse has to be resolved
I was using Supacolor for years, then I stopped because of this issue. I found a company with no issues and prices very similar but their transfers are way more superior. Unfortunately they are not local but they ship quickly but for ASAP orders the overnight shipping is too high. If you can wait they will ground ship for free. I got a last minute order for 200 shirts and they needed them in 6 days, so I decided to use Supacolor again as they now have the SupaDTF gang sheet and I could pick them up in 48 hours and on the first transfer on the same night I got them, bingo same thing, not peeling. I tried all different temps, times, multiple presses and what finally worked, temp 290, 20 secs on FIRM pressure and then wait 1 minute after for it to cool down and then it peeled like butter. I bought a cooling stone to hopefully speed up the 1 minute wait time, we will see, I get it tomorrow but if not then back to other company cause time is money and an extra minute for 200 shirts is way too much time when it should only take 30 secs, not 90 secs.
Follow up, I got the cooling stone and it works. Pre-press 5 sec, press 12 secs, post press 5 secs and used the cooling stone for 5 secs and peels smooth and no issues. $15 stone on Amazon and fixed the issue, maybe they should change to cold peel?
I just got my sample pack today 50/50 on the results. Some worked some didn't. I used some other transfers and they were flawless. Supacolor felt like it was grabbing in areas. Other transfer I used peel like melted butter. I'm going to order the same image from multiple companies and test it out.
I received some sample last week. I have the same problem. I thought that I was the one doing it wrong. Im ready to place big orders with them for my t-shirt brand. but they have to fix this issue ASAP. Hope they can watch this video and fix the issue.
I laser tested the heat plate, tried different temps from the lowest to highest, played with pressure… pre pressed… last thing I’m going to try is put my Ts in with a dehumidifier just incase… super disappointed as I was hyped by this company and how the transfers looked.
I had the same problem I fixed it by going with a different company, supacolor dint even fight me on a whole refund. mistake I did was give it 3 tries .lost time, customer&money
The cold peel worked better on the smaller text, but the large font on top of my design...it would not release from the carrier without messing up the design.

I still use Supacolor for certain customers that I started them with...but there are far cheaper options with great quality. Even the DTF options. Check out Juan Transfers.
I did that as well. I actually did the rest of the shirts that way after the video. Everything I tried, I still had the same issues. Thanks for the feedback though. I appreciate it.
