It is complete erasure of exactly such extraordinary qualities as Jason (and a few others) always tried to bring to the ice. This level of skating skill, musicality, attention to detail and performance and just pure emotion in motion will forever be lost to the sport in the years to come...😔
I agree 100%, I will just transfer my fandom from competitions to shows and On Ice Perspective. But it is such a loss, a sport I have enjoyed since childhood reduced to a jumping contest. Jason has been my favorite for 8 years, even with Nathan whirling past! Nothing against Nathan, but Jason's posture and body positioning alone make him breathtaking.
And Jason's POSTURE. A master class. But I guess judges won't care about the elements of skating skills anymore. Will we ever see another skater like Jason?
It's the artistry of performances like this that make figure skating unique from all other athletic sports. Even gymnastics can't come close to the emotional impact a beautiful skate can produce. I've never been a big fan of "skating shows", but ice tours may become the only place we can see this type of performance in the future.

Every movement is based on a circle of movement ! This is figure skating and Jason Brown truly is the finest most artistic & most technically supurb skater l have ever seen ! All the quads others may have don’t compare to the passion for movement and dance that is innate in him ! He is the finest artist in my opinion !❤
I have severe mental health issues and I found this 4 months ago. Josh Groban songs minister to me when I am struggling and then I found this. I love the slow motion without crowd noise. This is the most powerful ice skating video I have ever seen and introduced me to Jason Brown. He is so artistic with less jumps. Beautiful skater. I am a dancer and I used to watch skating when it was on TV all the time decades ago. I kept searching for more slow motion videos without crowd interaction. You of course are great with all the other videos but this is music, dance, and art therapy all in one which is used in dealing with mental health issues. Thank you so much.

He hits so many gorgeous positions and he’s so expressive and feels the music. ❤️ Watching this slowed down you can see Jason finishing every push in his crossovers, he gets so much speed and power from his edges. I wish I had even 1% of his abilities lol. Thanks for sharing this Jordan! 🥰

stunning.... I was very lucky to meet Tracey Wilson at Javier's summer camp and her excitement to work with Jason was heartfelt as was her coaching of my daughter. Hope these exquisite skill will be recognised and valued for future skaters to aspire to as this brings the audience alive.
I love this song. Honestly, I watch singles figure skating for the music. I find solo performances to be boring and repetitive at times so I have to go with music for singles to keep me “captivated”
I truly don't give a flying ... fox 🦇 about quad jumps. I wouldn't miss them if I never saw another one. But this kind of skating - it's good for the soul.
Jason is the only skater who is a real skater! Even his placement of his jumps add to the development of the program! There is too much emphasis on jumps! It is difficult to skate as he skates! I have skated and I have been a skating fan for decades! Jason is the definition of a “figure” skater!
It’s a good performance but a skater should be complete and add risk in his routine….. there isn’t any jumping here so for me it’s not exciting …..only publicity …:(
Have you watched the whole program? This is just a teaser before Jason revealed it at the US Natinals and the World Championships. Jason's PCS were phenomenal at the Worlds. He got 10s from some judges. He's an accomplished skater. Those jumpers with a noticeable lack of artistry are NOT complete skaters. They skate, but it takes a lot more to perform. Some of them are even painful to watch. To me, they are only jumpers, not figure skaters. Quads are overcored. The scoring system is sick.
@@ericachang4752 ok it’s your opinion. I don’t like his programs. There are many incredible skaters with amazing artistic skills and creatives programs and include beautiful jumps with effort. Such Aymoz, Siao, Keegan and they receive always less score than Brown. I don’t know why? It’s possible his parents have good and high relationships with media people and ISU or US ISU. Always his mother is with him in every moment and he is an adult. Well, sorry I Like justice and I don’t like the preference with Brown when there are many talented skaters that deserve equal treatment in scores.
