Garry Winogrand Hates 'Street Photography'

Garry Winogrand explains why he hates the term 'Street Photography', and thinks it doesn't explain anything about the shooter or the style. I don't think I agree, but he's a legend and knows much more than I do about street photography. What do you think?

Did you know winogrand locked his soon to be ex wife in his film cooler so he could take her leica? She survived by eating rolls of exposed tmax 100 for six weeks. Now we'll never see those images. Possibly his best works. He is my inspiration. Thats why i locked my wife in my film cooler and stole her olympus mju, then i forced her to record a voiceover for my youtube shorts.
