DX vs Rated RKO was an solid match where the right people won. Rated RKO were the biggest heels in WWE at the time and the only guys who was on DX's level during their 2006 run so they needed that win to add more credibility to their newly formed alliance.
😅
Zero credibility.
@Speedyreedy1218 Rated RKO did gain credibility by defeating DX at Cyber Sunday which they needed because they just formed that alliance between them.
@@mbeas9612zero credibility
@pleaseshutup7053 It gave them credibility by beating DX since Rated RKO was an newly formed team and the only guys that can match up with DX during their 06 run.
@@mbeas9612 they already had credibility fool
Bring back cyber Sunday
2006 was a pretty fun year in the WWE.
2 bangers in 1 day from the GOAT
2 bangers in less than an hour
This was my first ppv as a kid, I was so into the champion of champions match but was so upset it was never referenced again.
I get it now but as a kid that was real to me, damn it!
another one
This event was super awesome as a kid. Taboo Tuesday/Cyber Sunday was an awesome concept and I would love to see it comeback. DX Vs Rated RKO and the Triple Threat match between all 3 world champs at the time were both just badass. Truly nostalgic times.😊
Agreed. However, this is also the beginning of WWE mocking Britney Spears and her mental health. Therefore, Vince McMahon should say sorry to Britney.
Spirit Squad beat Show and Kane for the tag titles. I remember that.
Wrestling premier posting will always the highlight of my week
The K-Fed Era 😂
“Who will be the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS!!!” 🤣🤣 Lmaoo I will never get tired of that man hahahaha
Agreed. BTW Vinnie Mac should also say sorry to Britney for exploiting her on WWE programming back then. Hey Triple H, please say sorry to the Pop Princess on behalf of your jackoff daddy in law.
Bro you’re truly the goat!! 2 vids in the span of an hour WOW.
Your summaries of wrestling is some of the best. Filled me in alot of spots i missed. Can you do some old school wrestling videos?
Ahhh 2006 my first year watching wrestling so much fun so much nastalgic. i love it!
DX vs Rated RKO was pretty good although their New Year's Revolution match the next year was a lot better. I thought the main event Triple Threat was really fun. The Cyber Sunday/Taboo Tuesday concept would work so well today especially with Social Media being a more common thing
Not even 5 minutes in and it’s already very bittersweet to watch this since technically this PPV wasn’t THAT long ago but you can already see a bunch of people who are no longer alive. Very sad. :/
Finally taboo tuesday video
Great video brother!! Do summerslam 2007
Double upload from WP... This Sunday is indeed the Lord's day
Nice!
Even tho we knew it was rigged, FIRE idea 🔥🔥🔥 (i actually liked Taboo Tuesday as well, should slide once every year)
idea being Cyber Sunday^ ahah
They should bring back Taboo Tuesday or Cyber Sunday, fits perfect with today’s social media climate
Triple H should bring this back - since he's now doing the creative chores for WWE of course - and if The Game does, it will trend on IG, Threads and Facebook. BTW speaking of The Cerebral Assassin, Hunter should also say sorry to Britney Spears because his daddy in law Vince mocked Britney back then.
0:52 that’s the 2nd spot I go to when they don’t come to my city
we live in an era where they can perfect this idea
They should bring this back. Definitely was ahead of they time
2000 Heel Lita worked with Essa.
nice
In a world like today I don’t understand why Cyber Sunday doesn’t come back, at least try it
Idk why they dont bring this back now because everything is on social media they can make money with this like nxt taboo Tuesday it makes sense tbh
I think the Carlito/Orton match from Unforgiven 2006 was better than Carlito/Hardy at Cyber Sunday.
Pleeeease do Cyber Sunday 2008
Cyber Sunday 2006 underrated pay-per-view
My dad was talking about going to show last night i still cant believe he voted for piper and flair
PREMIER!!!!!!!!!
I forgot about this pay per view
2 vid in one day
Freebird Rule was a World Class thing. Why does every company adopt it. They don't have to.
Upload by mistake ?? Two banger under hour
nah I finished this yesterday
It happened on my birthday which it is today
I attended this event live! The drunk guy seated next to me swore up and down all night that Batista was going to be there despite me explaining he was on Smackdown. He was so sad once he realized I was right lol
Booker on Smackdown was still there.
@@Speedyreedy1218 I know but just for that one match, the rest of the PPV was Raw exclusive
@@zackmeece4723 Doesn't matter. The brand split stop mattering. They started doing this in 2005 with opposite people on brand specific ppvs.
@@Speedyreedy1218 Yes that's true. I was merely trying to share a fun memory of mine not get into an argument over brands and all that. I'll leave it at that, have a nice day BANG BANG!! 👈👉
@@zackmeece4723 Okay Cactus.
This PPV is just the first of WWE mocking Britney Spears on their programming during her 2006-2008 hard times. I mean, K-Fed appearing on Raw including Cena telling K-Fed that he will spear Britney, Vince having his head shaved by Trump at WrestleMania 23 in April 2007, The Miz, Morrison, Jesse and Festus (aka Terry Gordy's son Ray and Luke Gallows) and Shelton Benjamin urging Britney to come to WWE in early 2008 and Edge mocking Britney's panty less habit on SmackDown in 2008, anyone?
Vince, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, Melina Perez, Vickie Guerrero, Teddy Long, Cole, Coach, J.R., King, John Laurinaitis, Michael P.S. Hayes and Kevin Dunn owe Britney an overdue apology for mocking her mental health struggles back then. Hey Triple H, please say sorry to Britney for what those idiots - including your daddy in law of course - did to Britney back in the day. In other words, what WWE did to the Pop Princess back then will not fly today because mental illness is now taken seriously so therefore, Hunter, please apologize to the Pop Princess on behalf of your dad in law Vinnie Mac.
P.S. BTW Vince should also apologize to the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant's family (including his widow Vanessa of course) for having Abraham Washington reference his 2003 Colorado sex assault case on Raw in 2012. Period.
Anyone agree?
@karlc2869 When the facts are all gathered like you have done, they have mocked her way too many times. This deserves a thorough apology and Triple H should now be the one to honour that and do what is right. I did not like the pantyless habit joke by The Edge, and what Cena said about "spearing" Britney was very cruel. At the end of the video, it was interesting to hear more about the match and how Federline joined in, randomly, and to take in the fact that WWE was almost calling out to Britney to join (or get involved and just flat out mock her) in certain situations instead and make reference to her in times of grief, is really sad.
They were very clearly referencing her all those times.
You're right mental health is taken very seriously these days, and people are waking up to this, so these kinds of comments would not be okay! They need to apologize!
@@TanyaKatherine They stigmatized her mental health back then. If WWE did today, there would be an uproar. I'm glad mental health is now taken seriously.
Vince McMahon, Arn Anderson, Johnny Ace, Dean Malenko and that beaver/squirrel toothed Kevin Dunn finally got karma for mocking Britney.
@@TanyaKatherine BTW Edge, not The Edge. The Edge is a member of U2. Edge the wrestler is now wrestling in AEW under his real name Adam Copeland. But still he should say sorry to Britney as well.
@@karlc2869 That was probs annoying for you to read! LOL EDGE! It is like you spelling Hayden Panettiere wrong (you have never spelled it wrong). Will correct that. I do like, U2 since listening to them/discovering their music a few years ago! Their music blows my mind, really.
@@karlc2869 I am glad mental health is taken seriously too, more people know and recognize it. I think what you wrote is brilliant and I agree with you and stand by you.
Far too many champ v champ matches. You end up burying one or more of the titles in the process.
This show is just example of how awful the booking of WWE was in 2006. This was not a bad show by any means but most of the matches were forgettable. 2006 was pretty shit not as bad as 2007 but still.
To each is their own on hating Edge and Booker. I thought King Booker was hilarious and Edge was meh.
Edge was still in his early days as the Rated-R Superstar persona. From becoming the first ever Mr Money In The Bank at WrestleMania 21 & his bitter love triangle feud in Summer 2005 with Matt Hardy over Lita to his feud with John Cena over the WWE championship(don't forget about the live sex celebration on Raw in January 2006) & formation of the Rated-RKO tag team with Randy Orton, all of it was wild.
@jodawa2504 Edge never did it for me as a main eventer. I liked his singles work 2001-2002. Then he got back to tagging with Hulk and Rey. Then he broke his neck and got drafted to Raw in 04. Since then, he was meh for me.
I never understood the Rated R Superstar thing. Nothing about him seemed Rated R.
@@Speedyreedy1218 It's cool. Some fans see & remember Edge as either a member of the Attitude Era faction The Brood, his cool, comedic tag team stint with Christian or his solo run as a babyface in 2001-2002 & briefly in 2004. He lost most, if not all, of his momentum during his recovery from breaking his neck in February 2003, which resulted in his heel turn in September 2004 while recovering from a groin injury. He had to turn it around by getting over in some way, so turning heel & becoming the type of heel that he was worked out well for him because it gave a different type of heel that wasn't seen in WWE in a while at that time. Even though Edge isn't probably one of the best heels in WWE history, he did what he could to sustain & advance his career.
