Going to my Publix today! Thanks Peggy, greetings from NE Florida🏝
Hi and thanks for watching. Happy plant hunting!
Great find! Dieffenbachia "Camouflage" has a similar appearance and was considered an affordable alternative when prices were very high.
I'd never heard that before but see the similarity. Thanks for sharing!🙌🌿💚
Mine has grown huge. I love it
🙌🌿💚
Great find. I need to get out and shop and stop the deliveries.
Happy hunting! It's seems other viewers have been finding them at even lower prices. Go get yours!
Hey Peggy! So glad I saw this video because I have a baby verde and I want it to thrive. I currently have her in my milsbo tall but she isn’t living her best life so from your video I now think I should move her to my south facing window.
Hi Crystal! Thanks for watching. I hope moving it works for you. Mine had a rough start, but once I put it in a place it liked, it has been easy street. Best of luck with yours!
Peggy! Still do not have one....but for a grea!t price, if I ever find one, it will jump in my arms! Beautiful thanks for this spotlight!
You are so welcome!
I would wrap some spaghnum moss around the stem, in a spot just above where I would want to cut it. This way you can grow some roots in advance, before you cut. It will allow you to keep the top half looking immaculate, even after a cut, because it will already have roots to support it
I've already rooted many of the aerial roots for that purpose. Now I just have to decide if I'm going to prop it or leave it alone. I'm scared to cut it! LOL
I just bought one on Saturday for $11.99! At a garden center.
Wow, that's wonderful! Enjoy!
I finally have one. It's a beautiful plant. However, it lags shorter stems. Thank you.
My new one also has shorter stems. Perhaps that will change as the leaves get longer and the plant matures. Happy growing!
Oh Peggy. Thank you. I love the plant and will be searching for one.
You are so welcome. After a rough patch, it has become one of my favorites. Happy plant hunting!
Wow what a deal. I have not seen this in a big box store. Your plant looks good. I would definitely get one if I see it. Thanks for the video.
You are so welcome!
I got one online. Good price. Didn't do well though. Dropped all the beautiful leaves. I now have a plant with one small green leaf and a possible that hasn't started developing. No more bottling, even though it is under a grow light by a humidifier. Not really worth it, IMO. Still beautiful, but yeah.
Don't give up on it. Mine went through a rough acclimation period. After that, it started putting out leaves with nice patterns. I don't do anything special to it. Have you fertilized at all?
How lovely!! I wasn't familiar with the brand until you showed the pot, and then it hit me. That's the same pot that came with my Alocasia Jacklyn! It's so nice to see these growers making harder to come by plants accessible to every day people. I'll have to keep an eye out for this next time I go to the grocery store :) Thanks Peggy!
I'm on the lookout for a Jacklyn. Saw one once and didn't get it. I've been kicking myself since. 😧 Paraiso's are popping up everywhere. Hopefully yours will find you soon!😊
Beautiful modeling! So nice!
Thank you very much! 🌿💚
Thank you so much 😀
They’re leggy & many sellers won’t carry them anymore because they’re a pain. I imagine that’s why they’re being sold in grocery stores.
Well, you can't please everyone. Whatever the reason they are now in grocery stores, I'm thrilled to have found mine! Thanks for watching.
I bought four of the same Paraiso Verdes at Kroger a few months ago for $1.40 each. They were marked down when no one wanted them. They looked pretty sad, but for $1.40 the pot alone was worth that. I gave away three of them, kept one. Mine died. The one I gave to my mom is doing well.
What a bargain. Sounds like the plants had some issues going on prior to their rescue. Glad to hear at least one survived. Thanks for watching!
