When I first saw this video I literally cried. Tae's intelligence is under appreciated. Even BTS knows that he is a genius. I love how he sees the world differenty. He's a pure soul.
Thank you for watching this! I love Taehyung’s mind so much!! Not one person I’ve ever seen talk about him has said anything other than that he’s the most kind, humble guy. That includes other artists and actors. Sometimes I think the other guys discount his thoughts (not purposefully of course) but I’ve never see him get angry. He just lets it go. He’s much more patient and kind than I’d be in some of those situations. Like you said, he’s really smart about things too, like how he can fool the guys into thinking what he wants them to think. His facial expressions are also the best. He’s got a real natural talent for acting and so many other things! Love him so much.💜💜💜 Yes, please watch more of his videos! 😁
For me I've always admired V as a person because I loved the way he thought, and how he could interact with people he is an huge role model for me, I think V is adorable but the reason I chose as one of my favorites was because I just felt a kindred spirit with him, I felt like V wouldn't write off what I say just because I'm younger. He inspired me to not let things like airhead, a little slow, and not so bright bother me.

I hate it how people don't appreciate Tae enough. The thing you guys said about how *it is easy to come across as a fool than let people in*is so true . I feel like Tae has come to a point in his life where he doesn't wanna let people hurt him with their comments by judging him easily like calling him dumb or anything. People mistake innocence for dumbness and that's what agitates me the most. Tae is such a pure soul , the purest out of em all n people take advantage of that innocence. I know he still tries to hold himelf back because I can see the pain in his eyes , I relate to him on an emotional level and his goofiness at the same time but seeing him grow , his creativity n his kindness is what inspires me all the time. Not gonna lie when I first saw bts I was drawn to V for how I unique he looked. He looked unreal. But I saw so much more in him beyond that

I really liked this video! It really analyses all the different aspects of V...basically put into words what I think about him!
A couple of things I often think about:
V was apparently super popular in school...charismatic.
This didn't come immediately, as far as I can tell, but it was a innate part of his personality. He once told this story about another boy who had great grades and was really atheletic, whereas V was just an average student. The kid conned V into buying him a birthday present without telling him where the birthday party was at, even as he told all the other children. V later found out the kid was jealous of how well V got along with the others. And years later, V treated this kid (all grown up) to coffee.
I also believe after coming to Seoul, both V and Jimin went to the same highschool, though they didn't really know each other before BTS. Jimin knew V though...he was supposedly very popular, and ,once, when some other kid was bothering Jimin, kinda picking on him, V came up, threw an arm around Jimin and said something along the lines of "hey, hey, why are you picking on my friend". Jimin, despite being a class topper, with great grades and a class president at some point, was much more shy...so they didn't really know each other, but BTS made them BFFs . :)
And we all know V is social butterfly king among idol groups. _A lot_ and I mean _a lot_ of other idols, MC's, etc. have talked about how cute they think Jimin is or how striking he is as a performer. But V is the one who _everyone_ seems to know or be friends with. There are compilations out there of all kinds of random people giving "V from BTS" a call, just to talk or whatever.
I said it last time, but there is a reason why V is one of the BTS members that intimidates me the most. Like, BTS as a concept, has always been about boys you can flip-flop between relating-to and looking-up-to. I've known people that gave me V vibes...people you get the feeling you have to truly dig deeper to understand and appreciate, people who you may never truly know even after a lifetime.
I don't have a bias or whatnot, but if RM was the one I clicked with first, V was the one I clicked with last....and probably for the exact reason VMon is a duo with its specific intrinsic dynamics. Like, that ASC episode where RM infamously says "I'm so pure" and Jimin and Jungkook are asked "Who does RM care for/look after the most?" and JK immediately scratches a huge V and Jimin writes Jimin. And RM says that even though he looks after/care for Jimin openly, he looks after V privately...
Yeah V is a genius.
To me, he is the love child between the "golden maknae" concept and "manic pixie dream boy" trope.... like it feels like he is both good at everything and that he collects his interests the way others collect postage stamps. A touch of
classical music, jazz/soul/RnB, the sax,
old school films, acting...especially bringing color to something black-and-white, set in stone, like the typical tough macho guy or nerd staples...or something set into stone like a historical drama,
photography and minimalism, impressionism and Warhol-esque "art for consumers".....
He likes a lot of things and wants to explore a lot of things. He's a charmer, but plays his cards close and has strong boundaries in his head, I believe...extraordinarily loyal to the idea of family, of Bangtan (bot being a member and an idol for fans). Very hard to get a read on...I still don't think I really read the guy well at all.
I don't think I'd ever meet BTS, but if I did, I think I'd do completely okay conveying my gratitude and wishing him the best and trying to express the behemoth that is BTS, that his choices allowed. I can do flowery verbiage, and like public speaking, it'd be a matter of...inhabiting a persona for an hour or two. The thing is, I'd never really know whether he was inhabiting a character as well, and more importantly, what that character _was_ . I'm not explaining myself well, but maybe I just mean that -- whereas I have JHope friends and Suga friends etc. --- I think V is just completely out of my league in terms of friendships. He's just up in the stratosphere, which isn't a bad thing at all.

Going back and reading what I wrote, I feel like I was rambling too much. :)
I don't mean intimidate as in fear...how to say....
There was a Vlive where a highschool fan asked some question, I forget, something "what should I do Teahyung?" And V responded, "If you're in highschool, why are you calling me Taehyung...I'm 23
....ah, wait, you might be from the states, yes?"
And I think it was that same Vlive that a "fan" told him to stop wearing his glasses and he quickly responded "Don't discourage others from trying out things they enjoy" Contrast to RM who immediately turned off his Vlive filter, just as fast as his answering "Bangtan" in the "Bangtan or solo?" prank, when someone told him to stop using filters.
In no way am I saying these are bad things -- not at all. It means he has a great deal of inner maturity and resolve.
The fandom likes to joke about his silliness, his goofiness, how weird he can be and his "out-of-the-box" way of thinking. All of these are true. If I'm feeling bad one day, all I need is to watch a "10 min. of V being V compilation" and _bam!_ , I am happy. But just as much as he has his unique goofiness, he has an incredibly sharp mind and steel-like self-control.
All of the BTS members have their serious sides and funny sides and professional sides...as all people naturally do, really.
But to me, personally, V is just much more unpredictable. He doesn't simply respond to the situation or environment naturally more serious or more silly, but has a tight will power and thinks differently from a lot of other people in this world.
I stand by my last comment above and I think if you read it in full, I kinda, sorta explain myself.
In any case, I think all of BTS are fantastic dudes and I call myself ARMY. I wish them all of the best, and want to see all of their future endeavors, wish to have their presence in my life in some way for a long time.
If you want, ultimately, I would find V intimidating, because I greatly respect him, find him a very fascinating character....and whereas I'm more like RM in my friend groups, likely to remove a filter the minute someone tells me to, to make weird faces and shameless dancing, and ramble too much about language and philosophy, I'd also like to think I have a soft spot for V and I think he'll go on to do lots of great things. (Fingers crossed for some V-focus, next album, the way Jin was brought further out into the light, this album?)
I would write something as elaborated as your comment if my english wasn't so limited. One more thing: in terms of intro and extravertism, people are usually drown more to one side or the other, few are kinda stuck in between. He's actually one of those rare as f* individuals that are extremely strong with both ends of the spectrum. His extravert side is commonly known but what is truly mindblowing is that at the same time he does not lose anything from his introspectiveness, observative skills and deep thinking. I agree that he's the most intimidating of them. It would probably be easy to befriend him as it's him who takes the initiative to adapt to different people and make them feel comfortable, yet...he would be that one friend that you secretely see as someone of the higher level

V's position in the group was a vocalist! But I always wondered, how he, over a small time, was capable to learn so many things! He didn't have a dancing background, is a part of dance line now! From his vocals to dance to visuals, everything has improved drastically!
He has contributed in writing the melodies of the songs like *_Stigma, 4'o clock_* and *_Hold me tight_* and the songs are definitely one of their best songs!
The definition of *_purple_* he gave actually proves the way he thinks and sees the world!
Everyone is aware of his great acting skills, photography skills, and ofc his ability to pull great expressions on stage. His expressions while dancing makes him stand out every single time!
He is a genius and I am really happy and thankful that people recognise this!

Omg! this is one of the best videos about Tae if not the best! most of the videos about him are about how he's so "silly", "dumb" and that he doesn't think what he says, and honestly every time I see one of those videos on yt I don't even click on it to watch it because they make me so mad.
I think that he became more reserved of his feelings (like he mentioned on Burn the Stage) because the things that he said weren't taken seriously. So I'm really glad that people are starting to recognize how smart he is because it was about time, Namjoon have been saying this since the begining!! He's the most special and interesting person I know.
I've always feel connected to Tae 'casue we were born literally one month apart ( Dec-30 and Jan-30) so I hope he gets all the positive energy and love of the people around him💜💜

I haven't seen this video yet but I've always known that he was really smart. Yes, he's cute, adorable and just ah! but in all that, you can see the... smartness... the genius in his speech especially. I appreciate him so much. I'm so happy that a video was made that addressed so many different aspects of Tae's intelligence. Its easy for us to just think intelligence is just good grades and nothing else. So it's easy for people to laud RMs intelligence, but miss Tae's because of stereotypes in the fandom.

That's one of the reasons I'm so happy RM takes every opportunity to make it public how smart Taehyung is.

I don't know if you guys saw the last Run! BTS episode, but V's poem reminded me how much of a 'take-things-in-stride' guy V can be at his core.
It is why he likes playing characters, it is why he is _still_ so uniquely goofy, despite his maturity.
He isn't as much the type to deeply question his emotions and motivations as he is a _"very much in the present"_ kind of guy.

I don't know, in my opinion, she manages to get some of _the best_ clips, some of the most obscure, and it is always so obvious that she has such love for these guys. Good humored, and she really does understand different aspects of these guys' personalities; she's been ARMY since the beginning and it shows. She's also gotten better since her controversial Intro to each member series.......I like her light-hearted humor.
Personally, I think *V Week* wouldn't be truly complete without a bit of silliness. 'Cause they're all complex individuals, but humor is definitely a big part of V. The dude who says hello to seaweed, goodbye to costumed kangaroos, welcomes pimples, and whose 'ugly face' is the same face he pulls off when stage-crashing Ddaeng
Thank u for doing a rxn vid on this one. Umm.. V! I had watched & observed V since his first log. & yeah, his expressions & mannerisms way way back is like a country child who was brought into the city - the innocence, the wonder, the confusion smtg like that. Prolly also bc he grew up w/ his grandparents, plus being outcasted by a "supposedly-he-thought-is his friend" sumhow created a him that is "special". Im not saying he is a special child, but sumhow, bc of the environment, we tend to develop peculiar habits. Anyway, my apologies but with regards to his dancing- id say it's more than his skills & hardwork rather than intelligence (coz if it is - it means he's gifted like Jhope or Jimin).. rembr that when he joined bangtan, he doesnt know anything abt hiphop & dancing. Correct me if im wrong, but is it Rm or one of the 6 said bef that V doesnt know how to dance. Thus it made me say it's his hardwork, perseverance, capabilities to grasped that skill and own it to who he is now - as one of the dance line members - same goes w/ singing. And it's not jz him but also Jin, JH & JM.. they didnt start as singers or vocals. Rsns why i applaud em for this... hw abt giving em a big round of applause.. 👏👏👏👏👏. people see what they want to see or what they feel more comfortable seeing
tae understands that
he is an idol to the core
he is born knowing what people want and giving it to them
if I have to guess I'd say the difference between tae and jae is that while jae was giving a character to act by his company (cold and beautiful ) but when he left he showed us his real personality (to a limit)
tae is actually more in control since day one
I believe him when he was able to fool everyone in that run ep and said something like
playing a fool is the best strategy
still I don't think he wants to be looked at that way either
he only hides big /small things in little acts

At last someone is comparing those two. They are extremely similar in some aspects. Jae is another 'multidimensional person' that can make a completely different impression depending on the situation he's in. Imo, despite the very beginnings, he wasn't really hiding his personality, but what I think of is...you know that many see Jae as pretty feminine? He often appears like that on cameras, but when you check him in normal life, he acts kinda different. It's the same with Tae being childish.They're both originally lacking in confidence and it often results in showcasing unconditionally some aspects of your personality and cutting of the others. You know, I think Tae acting cute and making silly faces wasn't really conscious how some will see him. I will sound rude but...intelligent people often do not realize that others may not be as smart as them. There are a lot and more of people who are rather simple minded. So the smart person thinks: I will show that I CAN act funny or cute or childish(showing the side that people like to see the most).But many people read it as: He simply IS funny and cute and childish and that's all.Tae's very much in control of what he shows and can really 'get into the role', that's why people often get shocked by his 'multiple personalities'. I remember this video where he was talking with his friend..Minjae(?) And all comments were like: ''oh gosh, he's so mature and calm and manly here and, gosh what happend, he's never like that, etc''. Well, from what I saw, he's often pretty much like that when being off the spotlight, sure he's funny and cute and all, but he just is much more complex if you watch him off camera.And I personally think that the way he acts recently, besides all the hardships that he went through, may be also caused by the fact that he's just kinda tired of being 'the cute baby'( what grown-up guy wouldn't get sick of that), and trying to show his more real self.
for me jaejoong was first caught in a simple thing in-forced by his company

jaejoong kind of doesn't have a filter when he speaks or atleast didnt have one so I believe that is why his company stopped him from talking and gave him that cold personality but then he broke out of it

some see it as him acting out a role he thought would attract people to him faster with the way he looks then he wanted a change and that made him into making muscles and refusing to be seen as well girly
while some see it as a part of THE "YUNJAE " I will leave that alone lol

taehyung can act like a cute little baby one minute and then the next minute he transfers to a whole other mood
while jae didnt want to show his other side I believe tae actively woks on showing us that he is not what he is showing us

even when he is hurt he doesn't show it even when he is in pain he doesn't show it..specially like the last bon voyage when he is smiling to the camera and the boy just lost his grandpa !

the funny thing is I think tae just doesnt see that his act is not that easy to read and is always surprised when people misjudge him ...even his members ...
to me feminine jae and baby boy tae are both shields protecting them
I think jaejoong is also like tae in not caring much what people say about him and his relationships with people
both are butterfly like people with lots and lots of friends
both like ART(jae likes modern art while tae likes classic AND both like photography btw I wish tae would show in jae's program it would be fun for him I believe )

@@muratd260 heh, don't worry, it's nice to actually talk on yt instead of just exchanging idioms. This "showing what people want to see" thing is partially true but the lack of confidence that I wrote about plays a crucial part imo. Because...Jaejoong HAS this feminine side to him(given the fact that he was basicly raised as the 8th sister at home should be enough of an explanation for this) and it shows mostly when he's nervous. Same for Tae, when he's intimidated or less comfortable, put in the studio with camera focused on him, he turns into sweet, innocent, shy boy( less of it nowadays).
The shipping part was funny though... to be honest I'm not like the biggest k-pop fun out there( there are few acts that I love) but for my studies I do Korea and psychology, and this whole kpop world is hella interesting for anyone watching it from that perspective. Normally you can pretty much read people observing their behaviour, it's harder for Asians in general as they have a lot of rules and taboos, but in k-pop, there's so much acting, playing roles and conspiracies that some time ago I found myself watching great amount of videos, fancams and interviews, also some of this shipping stuff, just doing exercises in reading people ;p As for Tae and...i guess you were talking about Jungkook(?), honestly I think they are both straight like an arrow, but Yunjae...it's really an interesting topic, the atmosphere with them and around this ship is so weird

I personally don't think the members are misunderstanding tae, at least they do not underappreciate him... they make jokes sometimes but we all know how much of a distance he has so they just know it's not hurting him, and meanwhile they often talk about him, putting him in a very respectable light... real people know the real you :) the problem is with those people who don't know you at all but think that they got to know you....that's one of the bad things about being a celebrity
to tell the truth I went into the kpop world cause I saw jaejoong on tv and I was surprised I never saw a man wearing make up , fur , jacket without a shirt and dancing around and singing with so much confidence
I started watching him and searching for information on him on the net and watching vids of him like crazy ..I saw yunjae and I was hocked
no one could tell me they are not real ,it just wasnt possible
then I got to know the kpop world and learned about fanservice but nothing was like yunjae

to me it's interesting interactions planned or otherwise ..
still I believe tae is the most talented in fanservice even more than jimin ..he is more subtle

V is my ultimate bias (I’ve just become an Army for less than 2 months). I love BTS but he holds a very important place in my heart.

In this episode, each boy was asked to choose a word to represent his love for Armys. Since the other boys have chosen their words and only two words were left for Taehyung and Jungkook to choose, Tae chose ‘bath’. Tae made reference from a fictitious Chinese story ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’. Ancient China was once divided into self-governing areas. One of the warlords Liu Bei visited Zhuge Liang who was a very intelligent man. Liu Bei visited him for three times, in the attempt to persuade him to be his war counsellor. Taehyung was using a metaphor here. He implied that Liu Bei, despite holding a very high rank, was humble to Zhuge Liang. He compared this story to how he would present himself better before waiting for Armys through his ritual of cleaning up himself. This proves how much he treasures Armys. Taehyung’s vast knowledge and the use of metaphor illustrates he is very intelligent.

He came first in the poll by Upfeedy as ‘The Best Pop Musician of 2019’, beating prominent western singers like Taylor Swift, Bilie Elish and Shawn Mendes.
