Tremendous video!! I love beautiful iconic things such as these fine steam locomotives and hate when they are not appreciated enough. Looks like you had quite a good time there my friend. Wish I could be there!! 🙌🙌
Everything to like. But I have this yen for really dirty sooty locos, as per Exe Valley. What a loss especially the station and environs at Bampton.Good to dream of those days.
Brilliant video! I must've seen you a couple of times- I was next to the signal near Staverton as 4555 passed, and at 18:04 I am at the front window recording footage for my own video!
Good stuff! Looks very similar to the old stuff the company I work on has on our roster here in America, though ours are all 1940 and 70 era diesels. Cheers to you and a happy veterans day
Hello there! I love the footage you have put up here of the South Devon Railway! Great photography. I am doing a documentary of the South Devon Main Line and the steam railway, would it be possible at all to use a few clips from your video here? If allowed your name will be in the credits and a link will be created to get to your channel. Let me know what you think it'll be good to hear from you :)
1 week later and lockdown started. South Devon were lucky to squeeze this gala in.

South Devon's spring steam gala. Nice GWR 2 6 2's in steam, lucky to have the gala before covid 19 and the first lock down

Did anyone else notice how much No. 1369 was oscillating at 16:16?
Thanks
Small loco, short wheel base, outside cylinders, heavy load (for the loco in question)
Who doesn't love God's Wonderful Railway?

Why was the PDSR coach there too?
flynorthernva as they don’t have another brake coach
Bolster the coach rake - there was a high volume of passengers

The shot was taken for that purpose. Didn't want to miss it.
