hey just wanted to ask when you have to apply for the classes in order to get the best time slots like before they fill up- also ive gotten admitted to trinity college for rotman and it says apparently the starrez app has to be completed before march 30th- which im confused about since i'd still be waiting on admissions from other schools at the time and won't have a definitive decision about where i'd be attending.

Hello, i was just wondering if there was a huge difference between the three campuses. I got accepted in st. george in rotman commerce and Mississauga in social sciences. I prefer majoring in economics and i was scared of the Mississauga campus being less prestigious.
Great question, so when people usually think of uoft they think of St. George campus. It is considered as the main campus and that's a huge attraction to students. However with that being said I think the other two campuses are very great as well, so if you like social sciences better than Rotman commerce you should pick Mississauga. I wouldn't necessarily say that Mississauga is less "prestigious" but St. George campus is better known campus. Hey Richard, love your videos! I´m an international student and I really want to apply to UofT, yet due to the current situation I´ll be taking a gap year after high school (which i´ll try to make it really productive). Do you think this may affect my application?
Great question, many students choose to take a gap year after high school and I defiantly heard mixed opinions on taking a gap year. I personally think taking a gap year is good if you have a valid reason/plan on what to during this gap year. As far as I know this gap year shouldn't affect your application but I would recommend you to also reach out to the university about this to double check. did you take the full 5 courses for each semester and are you planning to live off campus for your second year??

There are rumors that the school is going to be online for fall but no official announcements were made. So the university hasn't said anything about reducing the tuition. I am sure they will make an official announcement as we get closer to September but nothing is settled yet. Hey, I have applied to UoT(Master of Computer Science program) in the month of October 2021 for fall intake 2022. I got a mail to access ACORN, Starez and Scholarship in the month of December but didn't receive the offer letter till now. So can you please tell me, when will I get the offer(the approximate month)?
If I have AP credits, how can I transfer them, and how would that affect the process of choosing courses???
Great question, so if you have AP credits you can visit uoft's transfer credit website and find all the details for it. I am not too sure how much these credits will affect your decision of choosing courses since it will all depend how many credits you will get from the university. After you’ve paid for your course elections, can you still add/drop courses?
Great question, so yes you can still add and drop courses once you have paid your tuition. The university will give you a specific deadline to do this but until then as far as know you can still drop/enroll in courses. Hi, as most of the courses for Rotman are pre-enrolled, do we just select our electives when enrolling courses on ACORN? Thank You!
Great question, so as you know first year RC courses are pre-enrolled. This means that you can technically just think about what you want as your electives and not worry about other things. However if you don't like the professor or the time of the course that you are pre-enrolled in, you will be able to change that. Great question, so I personally have never took foundation one program but I know some students who took it. I heard mix opinion on it, some students thought it was a waste of time when others thought it was very helpful. However I will do more research on this in the future and try to make a video on it. What do Rotman students mean when they say school is “hard?” Is it the content or the workload?
Great question, so it means both. Most of the classes are hard and has a lot of work load. However with that being said "Hard" is a very relative word so some people might find it easier than others but generally speaking its hard in terms of both content & workload. Just got the offer from Rotman Commerce as the international student and the fees for internationals are so high. The current world crisis made it more difficult for my family to pay the tuition fees, and I am trying to get the financial aid. Do you know if international students usually get financial support from u of t? And is it not too late for me? Thanks
This is a great question and congratulations on your acceptance. So I agree that this is a very confusing time and I can understand how hard it would be to pay such a high tuition. Since I am not an international student I don’t have a definite answer for you but I think since this is a special case the university might put out more financial help than before (but I am not 100 percent sure). I would highly recommend you to reach out to the university about this, I am sure they will have an answer to this question. Does UofT Rotman Commerce really only take students with no precious university experience? So I mean to ask is it possible to transfer into Rotman? Thanks
Great question, as far as I know Rotman doesn't allow students to tranfer into Rotman. However I would still recommend you to contact Rotman about this to confirm it (I am not 100 percent sure). Hey, I got residence in victoria college, I will be sharing a room with my friend and studying in rotman commerce, is victoria college the best residence or are there better ones which l can go for ?
Great question, so all the dorms on campus are pretty much the same quality (except for campus one and chest nut, these residences are little bit better but are more expensive as well). So whichever residence you choose will not be better or worse than any other residences. So don't worry about it too much. Hi, I'm a Canadian PR and I accepted my offer last month, but I haven't been asked to make a minimum deposit yet! I'm freaking a little because all my friends have made theirs. Any clue what's this about?

Hi! I also had a freak out session but this is roughly what happened. I accepted my offer a few weeks ago and received an email that said "thanks for accepting your offer." But I still haven't gotten any emails about money. After a few days, there was a message in acorn that said "view your minimum payment..." but the invoice only goes to summer 2020 and previous years. It also says "Pending"-- I assume this means that the invoice for fall/winter 2020-2021 isn't available yet, so the minimum payment also isn't available yet? But I'm confused about why it would be available to your friends already :(
how do you get a good idea of what classes you should take?
Great question, so I understand that its very hard to choose classes especially if you are not familiar with the class you are interested in. I would suggest that you watch some videos or read articles in the course you are interested in. Don't worry if you don't like the course you selected because you can still drop/enroll in classes once school starts as well. what is the amount of allowance you spend for a month?
This is a great question, so since I lived on residence and I had a meal plan from my college, I didn’t have to spend much money on other things. I had some money saved up for university in high school (I don’t get an allowance) but roughly speaking I think spent about 100 dollars monthly on other things. The amount of money you spend a month really depends on the kind of person you are but for me there weren’t many places I needed to spend my money. How do you major and minor courses in uoft?
Great question, so you can see all the different majors and minors on uoft's website. Then once you figured out what you want to major/minor in you will have to take all the courses you need in order to get your major/minor at uoft. There are certain number of credits you need for both major/minor so I would recommend you to check that out. Great question, so it’s definitely easier to get accepted to uoft compared to graduating. Many students underestimate how hard uoft is just by the admission process but in reality uoft gets much harder once you actually start to study. @@RichardHan right okay, So, what is the process for joining RCSA as a first year and what all do l need to do for example participate in any events ? As for the courses, I have heard that eco101 and eco 102 are regarded as the hardest courses, are there any good books from which you study or will it mostly be material from classes? And could you explain the difference between eco101 and eco 102? Lastly, which are some good courses you need to enroll in earlier which get filled up really fast and are not available later on ?
Great question, so for RCSA there will be events that RCSA host before they start the recruitment, so it will be a good idea to attend these events if you are interested in joining RCSA. Once they start recruiting people you will be required to make a cover letter + resume and if RCSA likes your application you will then be called for an interview. If you were successful in this interview, you will get an email saying you are the newest intern of the club. For economics I would suggest that you read newspapers/articles related to economics. The difference between ECO 101 and 102 is that 101 is microeconomics and 102 is macroeconomics. 1.) you can choose your roommate if you know someone that will be staying in the same dorm as you (there will be a section where they ask you their name, but I am not too sure if it was just New College that offered this or if every other college offers this as well).

If uoft offers a pediatric course I would guess that its under life sciences. To get more information on the courses, I suggest that you go visit their website. Since I am a business school student my knowledge beyond business is weak (I am very sorry about this). As I said in my other reply, if you have any further questions please let me know. I lived on campus so I was basically always at uoft👍👍
