Nicely done! Got a 90 myself (my 2nd) absolutely love the things what’s so special about them is as you said the customisation where everyone’s unique to the owner whether it’s a super smart tidy one like yours now or an old beaten up worker which honestly when I see one on the road whichever category they all put the same smile on my face. A truly in its own class vehicle.
Its difficult to get right isnt it. Thats why I paid LR £200 to fit mine on my RR. I didnt want my eye to be drawn to it every time I walked towards it
@@HighPeakAutos yeh it needs a gap between Land and Rover. Load bed looks amazing. What seats are those? They looks smart. Wondering if I can pop them in my 110 TD5?
It is absolutely stunning and the bed is such a nice touch, that guy did such amazing work with the logo and the varnishing absolutely stunning, keep that for the rest of your life please
Love that you did the chequer plating in the rear you won’t regret that decision, not many single cab 110 pickups about , so that’s gonna be difficult for you to puts value on
@@HighPeakAutos problem is with like any die hard car enthusiasts, they will tell you it’s worth 100k , however it’s definitely worth more for the fact it’s completely straight and it’s rare
Now you need to spend the same again on anti-theft devices. It will be stolen in the time it takes to nip in the shop for a mars bar. Very nice conversion.
Good point - easy to replace = easy to nick unfortunately. I've seen a 90 with bonnet and doors stolen (plus god knows what else) and sadly, believed nicked for scrap metal.
Yep! Ghost 👻 Alarm 🚨 decent steering wheel lock 🔒 and a tracker! Sadly dirty little thieves are as attracted to these as they are Ford Transit Vans, spare wheels and and Catalytic converters
Beast! Been watching for months now Matt, as your channel has grown and grown, but never commented before. Your quips, anecdotes, etc, etc, never fail to put a smile on my face! Comments like "Lake Como" and the cobbles reference in this one for instance! Keep doing what you're doing; you do it extremely well! Oh, and get that muddy spare off that beautiful varnished bed! Brilliant overlay music during the b4 and after comparison on this one BTW - so apt! All the best mate.
What a really good transformation and all the mods are tasteful and set the car off perfectly. Who needs a new Defender when the original looks like that.
I've entered this as I absolutely love these vehicles... but it's also my way to support the channel! Good luck to everyone who's entered. Thanks for taking time to put up the content!
I’m glad you went with the checker plate that I also suggested I think. The whole thing looks smashing and you’ve really turned it around from the drab run down thing it once was.
Oh wow! That’s Blummin gorgeous. Didn’t look too bad before but now it’s just a bad boy drop dead handsome truck. A truly amazing transition to the cool side of ice cool. Well done them Fella’s.
I love these Defenders! Our family had a County 110 when we lived abroad and it was awesome. On the awful inter city roads you just hit a certain speed and the car floats with the long travel suspension dancing beneath. (The least said about the bushes wear the better). This is the reason I was quite taken by UJO, the 'Luxury' Landrover I saw (and filmed) at the London Classic Car Show, also shown on Love Cars with Ben Collins. Owning a Defender is like playing with Lego; there is so much you can do to adapt them, all you need is an LRO magazine.
How the hell did I miss this one. This is going to be great. I took a look at this Defender when I visited your dealers to test drive a Freelander 2. Stunning Defender.
Now you need to ship it over to Australia and you can use this amazing vehicle to it's full potential! I thoroughly enjoy your channel mate keep up the great work!
Premature cancellation,l nearly fell off my sofa, love it. Proof you CAN polish a turd ! Like to see you do something similar with an old fiesta or little can. Again thanks Matt for making my day 💪 more strength to you mate
The workmanship and effort that has went in is nothing short of amazing. I just find it peculiar that and off road work horse is now so nice that you'd never want to take it off road, store anything in the back or get the interior dirty either. To me it's like getting an Aston Martin and switching the engine and interior with a Fiat Multipla. I'm not trying to mean or nasty buddy as I know there is a niche for everything and everyone. I just don't get it. 👍
Yeah, since owning a series 2 90 in the early 1990s i keep an eye on prices in the hope i can pick up a cheapy as a project.Looks like that ship has sailed. Most of the prices are quite frankly laughable now🤷♂️🙂👍
Hey Matt I’ve been following you since like less than 20,000 subscribers, congratulations on your success you deserve it. My partner and I watch your videos for the great content, seeing the types of cars that we don’t get here in the states, but also the beautiful scenery. I know you’re a busy guy but it would be awesome if you could incorporate drone video into your uploads, wherever you are in the UK it’s just stunning and I think it would add such a great touch and increase your viewership. Every time I watch your videos it makes me wanna visit the English countryside lol especially on the rare occasion when the sun is out😅
That looks really nice. These old classic models look so much more elegant then the new generic models when there given the right attention and care. Great video and great job mate 👍🏽
Matt, I know that you know you’re never going to see that money back, but what a fantastic transformation. Hats off to you. BTW, picking up my second L322 tomorrow after getting caught with my pants down on the first. Fingers crossed.

Retro look with Marina blue, white roof and steel wheels. Nice conversation though. Popular under stated modern look. Naff checker plate, seats but great wooden decking.Strong investment.
Mat...add an Acoustic Mat to the interior, the difference is quiet astonishing! "Wright Off Road Kit" from "Exmoor Trim" It's a Moulded Mat system that takes a bit if fitting as it's all in one piece and is heavy so just be warned! It is quiet brilliant!

I love old Defenders and thankfully all the old ones I’ve had in the past I’ve usually been driving and very rarely the passenger as I always find I smack my right knee on the bottom of the dash when I get in even though I know it’s coming and I try to avoid it!
That's an amazing transformation it looks brilliant. Your Defender could feature in a James Bond film any time now - problem is Daniel Craig would probably scratch it 😂
Premature cancellation - I wish! Fantastic job. One thing I always do when watching your vids is guess where they are filmed. I'm going for Disley and surrounding area this time.
Very nice, a complete transformation, the only bad choice was the pick up floor! That will look really bad the fist time you slide anything in it, quite apart from the water problem, but that can easily be taken out and put on the fire! Chris B.
The bed looks so good with the varnished wood, and the gloss black accents suit it so much. The interior also looks like a really nice place to be
Thanks! I think it looks great
Thought the same about the wooden bed! Lovely stuff.
I really love the timber bed as well.
It reminds me of the one you can buy for the Range Rover.
