I would like to know how long do we have to mix the product?
So that's it? Where is the actual training vid?
do you waterproof the top of the cement pan with the mesh from floof to wall ?
Is ardex 8+9 a modified concrete type material or some kind of additive?

So... let's see if I got it right:
Step 1 - Instead of buying Caulking in a tube I need to buy the MUCH MORE expensive 8+9. Waste time on mixing it while making sure I waste a third of a bottle and dump it in the trash. And - Use a plastic bag instead of a more convenient caulking gun.
Step 2 - Use the ARDEX SK mesh in the corners. Not the MUCH cheaper and available everywhere Drywall mesh (like you would with most other similar products).
Step 3 - Brush & roll...
Personally, I would use ANY other liquid based waterproofing. They all come pre-mixed and ready to go out of the bucket. Same process but without the annoyance and waste of steps 1 & 2 above.
And don't get me wrong - I LOVE ARDEX products. I will take ARDEX Thinset over any other!
6 year old comment, but thought I should add: I agree with everything you said. However, if you're trying to do the waterproofing in one day, there might be a speed advantage to using 8+9 since it is self-curing.
There is a different application... you use full jug if you're doing painted on method, vs inside corner joints or use for "caulking".
Read the TDS if you're interested. Otherwise, don't comment if you are uninterested in learning about the product to have an informed opinion.
Full jug to 9lb bag for use as a full waterproofing.
2/3rds jug to 9lbs for thicker consistency in use for filling holes, joints, cracks.
