Hey if they don’t want to be doubted, they need to perform when it matters like today. People don’t just wake up one day and think “this knight guy is such a choker”. It took several incidents over several years for shit to get that bad
@@UpWithWebster Doubting them against some team like GenG, sure. But it's HLE with Doran and Peanut, the two most notorious worlds chokers. All I can say is tsk tsk, better luck with pick'em next year.
the thing about LPL teams basically every single year since they first won worlds is that they tend to be inconsistent. imo they have the highest highs of all of the regions, but they also make more mistakes and take more risks than LCK teams. that's why no matter how good the players are, no matter their track record during the year, there's always the uncertainty of them choking. conversely, you can never count out even the 4th seed from the LPL because of how insane their ceilings are. you'll see the same teams handily crushing other top teams as much as they roll over and die in other games, that's just how the LPL goes
@@UpWithWebster Except the knight choking narrative is just completely undeserved. In a fairly short career, he is the most successful player in domestic LPL history, and has won two international events. And 3 out of the 4 times he has made worlds the team has reached semis, the only time that didn't happen was 2021 when the team imploded then got eliminated to a bug which riot acknowledged but refused to fix. Plus in most of their losses he is performing, even last year against T1 at 15 minutes knight had a gold lead on faker in all 4 games. The people who push the choking narrative are LCK/Western fans who have never watched a single game of LPL, or MSI, and only watch worlds, and for some reason think semis is a bad result (apparently being part of the 3-4th best team in the world is choking).
Doran chokes in LCK too, he just has moments where he's good or is playing a lesser player and this summer was one of those times where he was doing well and the rest of his team beat a mid form GenG
@@scifimisc9191 Yes like T1 is unbeatable by LPL teams I am sure your pick'em was HLE today 😂 and I hope you lose another when TES will send T1 back to Korea and Faker to his retirement home.

what teamfighting? Doran is an absolute tool. Has ONE JOB. PEEL FOR VIPER. ONE job. JUST ONE. Nope. Gets gigagapped, tries to play hero, does not peel, oh my gosh.... just absolute lack of accountability for this tool. Ship him out to NA.
Idk why no one expected this, I saw Doran in so many good position in the series with Gnar and has a really good Gnar bar only to proceed to mess it up by mistiming his engage.
The fight at 1:15:21 is tragic they have vision of bin wrapping to go onto Viper but doran insists on jumping onto Xun to try and land an ult on one person and still misses. Even if he goes for elk there instead it mightve been a much better fight
BLG can still go all the way and win worlds - despite putting up their secondary instead of primary jungler. that's how good their 3 carries are when they are in form.
@@jackhoward8 the entire team was performing poorly during the swiss stage. wei said it was because of their meta read and ON's performance. @@shmurflHD There is something that few people understand: the international fame of T1 is even greater in the LCK. It’s probably the most studied team, apart from being the origin of most strategies. In the LCK, studying T1 is a must if you want to win the regional title. Plus, there are many players and coaches from T1 who point out the team's weaknesses when they join other teams. But internationally, it’s different. Even after studying them, they don’t have as much information, except for BLG, who has Easyhoon, the person who taught Faker the most, especially about Azir. Other than that, there’s not much to say. I don’t know how Gen.G will perform against T1, but I think Faker will carry at least one game with Sylas, and Gumayusi with Zeri. Probably Oner will have a crazy game with Vi, and Zeus will draw so much pressure that it will allow T1 to make many plays across the map. I think it could be a 3-1 for T1 or a 3-0 for Gen.G. If Zeus suddenly pops off with Gwen, it could be really good, but it’s not his kind of champion. Let’s see how Keria is doing, but I think he will enter a redemption arc. Very frustrating to watch as a Zeka and Viper fan. Delight and Peanut, while they weren't completely terrible, weren't even close to playing as good as they played in LCK (perhaps mental block against BLG from last year ? Or perhaps theyre just consistent worlds underperformers im not sure). And then there's Doran. Completely griefing all series. Played some of the poorest League of Legends I've seen perhaps ever from an LCK first seed toplane representative. Just watch the last baron/ dragon fights and see how hard Zeka/ Viper tried to carry, and how poorly Doran played both of them. I mean.. just think about how bad you played when even in game 1, when HLE were ahead by quite a bit, Doran still looked worse, and was perma behind vs Bin. Bin on Rumble (a champ he isn't known for at all) still played a better game than Doran on his signature Gnar. Completely unacceptable showing all series tbh.
His Gnar was always dogshit. Dude doesn't know how to use his ult and mega form. He literally just needs to stand in front of Viper at that Dragon fight and ult away the engage + be a meat ball for Viper. What does he do? Try to ult Kindred... with flash up... Single target ult onto something that is completely irrelevant sitting around on the side instead of helping Viper. I'm done with Doran. Anyone who plays with him in the team knows what they are signing up for, and it is their own fault from now on.
Peanut played pretty good with poppy giving peel to viper, Elk absolutely gapped viper on almost every game, same for zeka, knight just inted the first game, but he played just better in the entire series overal, and ye we are not talking bout doran, that man is a criminal
@@robertmusil1107 i completely agree, doran looked abismal this series. id also talk about delight, specially the last game. i mean look at 1:15:13, hear what caedrel is saying and focus on delight. 5v4 flash ult up, elk no flash standing all alone (galio shadowing looking for ult), doesn't engage, and then... hahaha its almost funny

Xun's Wukong is a national treasure. I'm expecting BLG to flex Wei/Xun to prep for Canyon. You really can't use denial picks for BLG coz they know how to counter their own best meta champs. Swiss stage is such a horror for BLG! They are the worst game 1 players in the history of LoL haha, even in LPL they lose game 1 so so so much then go crazy game 2-3 just like we see here. In general swiss is so bad for worlds, we now have LCK 1st seed gone and fkn Flyquest still in. Luck based Worlds should not exist.
I totally agree like Swiss stage is so luck based and truly doesn’t show players’ true strength especially the bo1. Also you can’t tell me it’s fair for any 3-2 team to be facing blg who are in the same bracket as them like the difference in skill between blg and the others are insane and no teams would have won against blg in bo3
Nah I am happy BLG went 3-2. More time to adjust and have better meta read. Looks how WBG steamrolled LNG. Same with last year for JDG after going 3-0 in swiss, they had terrible meta read and 369 inted so much, when that meta was top carry. Maybe Bin could have done better last year if he was on JDG. Meta at worlds are complete 180° from summers
BLG is way better at adapting to the opponent rather than playing a neutral state. They're amazing at playing aggressive offense, but without proper knowledge that's very risky, hence why their BO1s are very unpredictable unless they can just hands diff the opponent
Doran, I swear to god. The only player that can choke so hard that not even World-class players can carry his corpse. Chovy breathing a big sigh of relief.

@@ahmed_aamri i can understand you, doran doesn't seem to fit into the team or hasn't quite reached his potential yet. nevertheless, when i see doran play in worlds, it seems to me as if he is extremely nervous and therefore does unintentional things. of course it's stupid when you lose the game because of a misplay, especially for other team mates. either way, i wouldn't always look at doran, in the game you also saw a few misplays from blg, but still they could clutch it.
Everything in life has pros and cons. And one the cons of being a public figure is being criticized publicly. The LPL never plays well, the LCK is the one that plays badly, the LPL never wins, it is always lucky that the LCK plays badly, that narrative of these creators will remain tremendous until eternity HDP
LOL the LPL playstyle is to force the enemy to make mistakes by "coinfliping" hard pressure. Yeah, it is not a mature style probably but at least on the current level of league, people still make mistakes under this level of pressure. You will expect everything when playing against those mediocre champions / players and make you look like that you never make mistakes, just like how you completely smurfing in low elo. However, youre not doing the same thing constantly against people in your elo / higher elo players, is that because of your degression? NO, IT IS BECAUSE THAT people actually give pressure on you. They know that "we need to make some plays they don't expect so that the enemy find hard to think wisely with complicated information" while LPL players get used to those chaos playstyle and managed to think wisely under it (no matter its they acquired that skill or they born to be better at that skill), while LCK players don't, cuz that's not how they trained from when they started playing league, and very likely, they are not the ones to be the top talents if that's the server's style in another universe of them. (It would be another pool of talents, not them. Just like in China, only coinfliping gods live up to be the top soloq players and pros since the whole server plays like that. A great example is that Midbeast is KR GM while 46w38l gold in chinese superserver, and that made tfblade refused to play chinese super server. Do you think he will ever be a top player if he was born in China?)
What an insane series and how unfortunate is it that we dont get to see HLE again in this worlds, one Bo5 lost and instantly their year done, if only we had double elim how this tournament would have shaped up, might have went down as best in LoL history. Absolutely masterclass gameplays from both teams. The draft evolution is soo good to watch in the quarters. The teams which are setting up the ADC for success and giving them self peel / agency are the ones that are succeeding. Kalista, Ashe, Kai'sa Ezreal top tier picks if any of these are up and not picking them 1 2 3 is absolutely int by the looks. BLG set ELK up for success soo well, absolutely sad for Viper MYGOAT. But what a series man really wanted to see how things would have turned out if LNG HLE had a lower bracket run. Sad way for HLE to go out but what an incredible display of mechanics from both teams in the fights. Amazing series, wish we got 5 games
@jeevang7853 if you’re referring to things like peanut sending his poppy ult into the dragon pit wall sure, but from a larger perspective nearly everyone had more shining moments than dull :) it’s understandable to make mistakes when the pressure is so high
And people doubted BLG. People keep on sleeping on Knight, GIGABIN, Elk. XUN and ON also had popoff moments.

Doran has to be one of the biggest chokers in the world. It's unreal how bad he plays at international stage compared to the LCK.
Did you see his Camille game in finals? Brokenblade is just straight up better than this guy.
Doran chokes in LCK too, he just has moments where he's good or is playing a lesser player and this summer was one of those times where he was doing well and the rest of his team beat a mid form GenG
@@daandepauw5252 he has moments when he plays like bronze player, but generally he's pretty solid. This series he was anything but solid.

Was Wei performing badly? Xun seems to be their starting choice now
@@jackhoward8 the entire team was performing poorly during the swiss stage. wei said it was because of their meta read and ON's performance. ON said wei was too bossy and making poor macro decisions. they got into an argument on top of poor team morale. so to pacify ON and make a change to boost team morale, the coaching team decided to start xun instead
@@langzikuaidao4777 Their meta read was terrible early on. I thought it was still stuck in swiss from game 1 drafts but they evolved theirs while HLE kept giving over good picks. They showed a lot of flexibility when they started putting prio on Sylas/Galio after banning out Aurora and Yone.
Seeing every team Caedral is a fan of get eliminated is pretty funny. FNC, G2, DK and now HLE. T1 is probably shaking in their boots
T1 is gonna look strong for some reasons wait for it. I think t1 > hle
Yes, I’m a T1 fan; they are a team that, even if they suck at this point, still deserve all the respect in the world for how they carry themselves.
Nah man although Doran played like shit, Zeka was invisible, especially his useless ahri. Viper did well but still got gapped
