Whew! Ya’ll got me crying! This entire testimony! 😭🙌🏾🙏🏾 So many nuggets! Key takeaways 1) Do it anyway - be fully submitted to God’s will 2) Build an altar - take time to worship and thank God for what He has done and how He has chosen to use you. 3) Be present!!!
My parents adopted me when I was 14 months old and you can’t tell me they aren’t my Real Parents!!!!! I love Tasha Cobbs Leonard!!! Thank you for having her on your platform!!
I was adopted at 9 months old. They ARE my parents!!! Blood doesn’t make them not mine. I’m so blessed they adopted me. What I thought was rejection from my birth mom was GODS PROTECTION🩷🙏🏾
Perfect marriages or relationships simply don't exist. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to navigating them. What may be effective for Adam might not resonate with Peter. However, I've come to realize that there's always a solution to every problem. Half a decade ago, my wife and I faced such difficulties in our marriage that divorce seemed imminent. Despite the ordeal, we persevered, and today, we've triumphed over that rough patch, reunited and stronger than ever
Your words make a lot of sense, and I genuinely hope my thoughts align similarly. Despite our current separation, I can't imagine my life without her; my love for her is immense. I yearn to have her back, and I'm willing to do anything to make that happen. We've explored various avenues, including therapy, in our efforts to reconcile.
Letting go of someone you love is always challenging, but in my situation, I had the guidance of a spiritual counselor who prevented my marriage from falling apart. Her name is Suzanne Ann Walters..
This guidance is appreciated. I'll search for her online immediately. Thank you. I'm hopeful that this approach will yield results for me as well; I deeply miss her.
I got teary-eyed when she said WAIT ON GOD, His way is not OUR way! I have been praying, praying, and praying almost every day for a husband, and for 12 years I am still waiting for the alignment. I have done all the things and still nothing, men are not ready or don't want to be ready, or have been there and done that. Still waiting, 43 single no kids!
Read 1 Kings 18:41-46 I preached this last Sunday. God told Elijah that an abundance of rain was coming. And Elijah had his servant to go look for it while he prayed for it. The Bible says every time his servant looked he saw nothing. Elijah kept telling him to Look Again! And the servant did this six times and it wasn't until the seventh time that he saw a little cloud in the form of a man's hand and the rain came 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾Baby I know it looks like it's taking long because I'm right there with you waiting on God for my husband from him and it looks like it won't happen, but when God has a plan though it tarries Wait for it, press God in prayer for it without ceasing, get prepared for it, and look for it meaning wait with an expectance. Because in God's timing the rain is going to come 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾And the wait will be worth it!!!!!
Omg I am sooo blown away at the fact that you got my girl Tasha sitting on the couch!!! I love her so much man and break every chain got me through so much we played it at my god sons funeral he was only 3 months old every time I hear that song I break down in tears of joy because although I am not where I want to be yet I am also not where I used to be and I thank GOD FOR THAT!!!
Ikr! I love me some Tasha Cobbs. Her voice is so anointed and she is so down to earth. I’m so happy for you Laterris and the people who God keeps sending your way to be on the dear future wifey podcast. I can’t wait to watch this one right here though! Lol
I did not know that testimony behind "Break Every Chain" Tasha but I kid you not in 2012/13 I was very depressed and "Break Every Chain" is the song that began to free me from my depression. I sang that song all the time and every time the depression would lift. I sang until I was totally free. Your song and John Piper's books helped my depression to lift. So I know you are not lying. There's a deep anointing associated with that song.
Story about Baby Asher touched my heart. When she said the baby jumped when biological mom read the letter, reminded me of JESUS and John. Beautiful story! Equally heart piercing story of your dad. You feel the love of your dad from your heart. So sweet and precious! Thank GOD your mom listened to the LORD and you believed. Blessings to you Tasha and your family. My favorite song by you is, "YOU Know My Name." Keep singing for the LORD!
I went through the same thing with IVF. I had to purchase donor eggs because I was already in menopause. We did try fostering to adopt twice and they were returned to their families. We are standing on God’s Word.
She is not playing!!! Keep me hidden so they see my father!!! I love that. I say something similar about my dating life since I was young. God keeps me hidden so not everyone has access to me. When they do see me they are there for a reason.
I did the same for my baby in 2018 when she was 6/7 months. I played break every chain back to back and she was healed in the name of Jesus! She had a bad case of bronchiolitis!
The most amazing thing is God gave her a baby that looks exactly like her. Spitting imagine. She did not carry this baby in her womb, but God saw her carrying him in her heart. You cannot tell me that Angel that birthed him wasn’t God sent. Bless your beautiful family ❤
Bro. Laterras, y'all were at my house today! I had a young lady that spoke a WORD over my life, that didn't know me, and she told me that I had a heart for God, but I was guarded in my life with everyone else and that affects my praise and my body! When I tell you I cried like a baby because my body hurts everyday and I'm very guarded with ppl and I'm always wanting to ensure my safety (Even in my praise at church). I thought I was good at compartmentalizing my life, but I'm not! Mrs. Tasha and I have gone through similar situations. It is so refreshing to come across a gospel artist whose spirit actually matches her ministry and isn't afraid to be vulnerable. This was wonderful.
What’s so incredible about this… is as a musician/psalmist , we are gatekeepers and when we sing we open portals and it echos… God completely shielded and used her brokenness (depression) and it became an exchange for healing and blessing to others. God didn’t let that depression bleed out-wow God is amazing
Amazing interview with an awesome woman of God. Please come and do enjoy your vacation in the Bahamas. My birthplace. Thank you for saying that. We pray God’s continued blessings on you podcast and your life. Thank you Tarsha Cobbs Leonard for touching our lives in such a beautiful way. May God bless your ministry. I loved every minute of this one right here
GOD IS SO AMAZING This was right on time for me I made it my business to listen to the song while sitting at my desk. I decided every generational curse is broken from this point forward And that I will start the generational Blessings from my generation forward.🙏🙏🙏
Tasha!!! THE BOMB!!!! I’ve heard her Testimony and LOVE GODS PRESENCE WITH HERRRR!!!!”YOU MAKE ME HAPPY” Thank you for having herrrrr!!!!!! Continue BLESSINGS to you and ALL THOSE CONNECTED TO YOU GOD WILL CONTINUE TO PERFECT MY GURL!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Before she gave her testimony, I felt led to play this song ever so quietly in my office to break every chain binding coworkers in order that there is a peaceful environment wherever I. AM. God, I thank you in advance for what you're about to do. Thank you. And thank you, Tasha Cobbs for being obedient. 💙🙏🏽
Wow the beginning has me already ...BABY ABOUT "BREAK EVERY CHAIN" I moved to houston in 2012 homeless me and my kids and baby 2013 I moved into my apartment with air mattresses on the floor so grateful😊and feeling blessed 🙌🏾😁and I will never forget I got my kids out that door for school for the 1st time since we had moved in And when they closed that door and was off to school. That song came on and I hit that floor weeping and I couldn't stop baby I could hear the chains falling litterally..That song ministered to me for months if not a year🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 GOD DID HIS BIG ONE WITH THAT SONG THREW YOU💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
This episode had me in tears. The yellow couch was “Lit”. Tasha spoke with confidence, passion and power. Beautiful story and the testimonies of the goodness of God. We hear God’s will but we try to do it our way. So many gems and nuggets taken from this episode.. priceless last moment (not knowing) that that would be the last time she would see her dad.😢😢😢. This was truly a blessing. From career, marriage, birth of their son, passing of her father, her book and learning to celebrate yourself.❤❤❤ I was truly blessed. Thank you.
I love this episode. I've never heard of her before but I'm glad you had her on this show. She has a beautiful voice. Not necessarily her singing nor music. I feel-or I should say I see- she lives the gospel, and that's what resonates with me most. I typically don't like gospel music-or I should say preachy gospel. However, I *hear* her delivery. I'm a great *listener* but I don't always hear people, which is something I'm working on. I *HEARD* everything she's had to say, and that's a testament of who she is as a person. She has a beautiful voice. This is the 2nd episode of your show that I didn't fast forward through.
Oh My God!!!!This is the most heart felt interview I have ever felt. I could literally feel God in all that Tasha shared wirh us your audience I sat here crying and laughing the whole.time ❤❤❤🙏🏾
I just Cried!❤🙌....the beauty of these testimonials....Especially of her father's last days on earth...My heart is swelling because of God's timing and Prophecy coming to past....Obedience to HIM is EVERTHING!.....Sitting here Blessed and Encouraged!...OMG...
Very first time I heard that song - I was beginning my walk with Christ(freshie). My now spiritual mother looked at me in the eyes and sang that song; I was wrecked. A cry from deep inside my soul broke out. I felt the embrace of the Holy Spirit. Glory be to God. That’s how I was introduced to this wonderful woman of God, God bless you Tasha.
Man this was sooo good! Love Tasha even more. This podcast is such a blessing. I’m 44 years old and been engaged twice. God said they were not it… I have no regrets. I’m patiently waiting for my Father, and in the meantime becoming a wife in God’s image. I will also have a child. 🙏🏽
LABOR: OMG!!! SISTA YOU HAVE ME IN TEARS!!! THAT BEAUTIFUL GIFT YOU RECEIVED FROM GOD YOUR PRECIOUS BOY. I APPRECIATE A NEW ACTION TO LIVE BY MOVING FORWARD TO "SAY YES!!!! TO GOD!!!! BEFORE I COME UP WITH A LOGICAL REASON TO SAY NO." CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE... ONLY YES, TO GOD!!!
Her honesty about depression, having people who can hear from God in those seasons when you can't hear, and even how she didn't have a clear vision of her husband and how it was going to happen.... So relatable..... Thank you for this interview.
The airline did not cancel her husband's flight. God did so she can tell her story! He's going to come and tell his story and then both will come back to tell their love story.
This episode literally blessed my heart abd soul! Tasha went through so much of what I am currently facing with severe endometriosis and not being able to conceive right now, but I'm trusting God and I will do things His way and not mine!!!
God will make a way! I’m 33, been married for 7 years. Battled challenging gynaecology issues. Multiple miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy in November 2022, couple months later got severe endometriosis diagnosis and conceived naturally 2 months later! We now have a beautiful son who is now 6months old. To God be the glory! The surgeon who did my c-section, said she assumed I conceived via IVF because she could see the severe endometriosis. I said with God anything is possible! Keep believing. God is still moving and proving just how great He is and He answers your deepest hearts desires RIGHT ON TIME! Be encouraged sis!
Wow! I’m at work listening to this and in tears. Tears of joy in knowing only God can orchestrate our lives the way he wants even when we can’t understand His will for us. Wow! I love this for Tasha and Kenny. #GodDidThat ❤️
I'm always in awe at how whichever Dear Future Wifey Podcast I decide to stop at and watch while I'm scrolling through the different segment choices, ALWAYS end up speaking directly to me on a very personal level. I just celebrated my birthday two days ago and I AM NOT A SPRING CHICKEN ANYMORE, but my desire to get married is still just as strong as it was 14 years ago. And when Tasha and you, Laterras touched bases on the importance of having a strong foundation of friendship first before the two people get married really resonates with me on a personal level. I've been in a friendship with a man since Junior High School, who I now have very strong feelings for, but even though I know he has feelings for me, his actions don't always demonstrate that he feels about me as strongly as I feel about him. And now I'm at a point where I am trying really hard to release the romantic feelings I have for this person, and just accept that friends is ALL we'll ever be. But it's hard to do that. But I know fir my own mental and emotional well being, I've got to stop feeling so strongly about a man who doesn't feel the same about me.
Thank you Jesus for the confirmation. I have been doing the things that Tasha said about making myself a wife and being WHOLE. I thank God for being hidden, because I know he is preserving me for my HUSBAND that HE has for me!!
One of my favorite gospel artists! I wish her husband could have made it. This was a great interview. I want to go from friend to fiancé too. I believe it gives the marriage a good foundation. Add that to the firm foundation of Christ and I believe this is a marriage that will stand through the trials of life! My three children are all adults, but I still want the man I marry to see them and treat them as his own. This is what I intend to do if my husband has children. Great interview, Laterras. Beautiful letter. ❤
Two of my favorite people on my favorite podcast! I love this! One thing I love about Tasha is that she stands in truth! I’m on a journey, learning to stand in truth as God leads. We have to learn to take the “religion” out of this relationship and worship (honor) God in spirit and TRUTH!
What an awesome testimony of God gifting Tasha and Kenny with Asher...meaning laughter. It reminds me when Sarah laughed thinking how is God going to have her conceive and have this child of promise. Then his middle name 'gift from God' which is the English translation of my African name. I smile and laugh alot and am a gift from God too. Powerful ❤
OMG!! Ioved this interview❤ Tasha, your hair is FIRE! Thank you for being obedient to the calling on your life. Thank you for sharing your stories with us during this conversation & in your book. I can't wait to read it. God bless you, your family & your ministry. Love you girl!! ❤
I love Tasha’s music, her spirit and the love she has for God, people and music. Tasha you are looking so good but you are beautiful regardless. God Bless you and thank you Laterras for having her 🙌🏾🙏🏾
This is my 2nd best episode to Heal Brother Heal with Jay Barnette! Thank you Tasha when my time comes I think I will use the dinner as my wedding. I love it....
One of my many takeaways: “Only God.” I’ve never teared up so much during an episode. I love this episode, her energy, and the overall message. The #1 podcast on my own personal chart. 😂😊
I want to say this may be one of my favorite episodes. There were some things I absolutely needed to hear. Thank you Laterras for having Tasha present.
Man this hit me soo hard for so many different reasons. But as a fellow daddies girl who also lost her father and holds dear to all the life lessons he taught her, I will most definitely be buying this book. Can’t wait to read it, and absorb some of the wisdom your father left with you. 🙏🏾
I love Tasha Cobbs Leonard! I saw her minister in Detroit, Michigan and when I tell you the Holy Spirit filled that room.... I will definitely be reading her new book.
Absolutely 💯 God definitely tells me stuff about my sons and I’ve continued to speak over my young kings and now they are thriving- hallelujah… this is real!
Laterras Whitfield sir….. this video blessed me!!!! 🥹 Thank you so much for this collaboration with the woman of God! Tasha Cobbs Leonard is one of my favorite Gospel artists. She’s an anointed artist and the oil of God on her! Break Every Chain ministers to my spirit and my storms every time I listen to it. It will never be old. When Tasha Cobbs Leonard did that small snippet, my eyes began to water, my spirit was arrested!!! It was like a quickening!!! 😢This song has gotten me through some tough battles! I felt the power of God while listening to this video while I’m sitting at my desk at work. I’m on lunch break 😂just in case my boss or coworkers see this.. no y’all I’m not listening to videos while on the clock! Lol😅 Thank you so much for doing this video! May God continue to bless your UA-cam ministry and may your subscribers and followers multiply double fold! 🙏🏾
Thank you Tasha Cobbs for your transparency and vulnerability❤ I love how Laterras is always his authentic self, he expresses with laughter and emotions and its just always refreshing to witness a black man authentically him❤
THANK YOU! I appreciate the both of you being obedient. I wasn't expecting a whole welling up of tears when she talked about the generation of Do It Anyway. I think I may have remembered the pride my own father had in me and WHATEVER I did or wanted to do or dreamed. My father passed on November 21, 2013. Truly, ONLY GOD!!!
Wow! This is awesome! I just had a conversation with my co-workers about Nikki on the song and I said we can’t conform to the world, the only way it makes sense is if God said do it!! I’m so glad to learn he did!! Also God woke me up to He knows my name this morning, I heard… 🎶 Oh how he walks with me 🎶 I was lead to Mathew 11, 29-30! GOD IS DOING A NEW THING! Halleluyah!!!
God is so hilarious because God just had me start listening to her music on the 11th and I haven’t stopped yet! I’ve had so many supernatural experiences during and now look! She’s on my favorite podcast!
Hearing her story is so inspiring to me ! I have been in this relationship with my Boyfriend for 8 years going on 9 years and I am 30. I have been pushing for marriage. But I had to think it’s maybe not my time yet or Maybe it’s not Him yet or maybe I am just not wifey material yet in god’s eyes. I just need to be more patient and work on BECOMING A WIFE ❤ !
OMG- Tasha , I remembered seeing her in Jacksonville in one of her concerts, I am feeling the same moment, I felt then. My hair is raising up , what an anointing on this woman of God. She is so real, so down to earth. I love you Tasha. My prayers go out for you, stay blessed TCL. My break through came through as I heard the song Break Every Chain 2013 in a Brooklyn Church. I could remember the pastor saying you have been going through for so long and now God is setting you free. I was set free that year to return back home to do God’s work . Thank you God for Tasha. Love all her songs Bless her and her family.
"I didn't choose you, the baby did". That is so deep. Only God ❤
I got chills 🙌
Whew! Ya’ll got me crying! This entire testimony! 😭🙌🏾🙏🏾 So many nuggets! Key takeaways
1) Do it anyway - be fully submitted to God’s will
2) Build an altar - take time to worship and thank God for what He has done and how He has chosen to use you.
3) Be present!!!

So glad she doesn’t have a “religious “ mindset but a kingdom mindset ❤
How do you define religious mindset?
Nothing like a straight forward, confident woman who takes initiative.

Very encouraging. Thank you for sharing your testimony. I'm 55 and have never been married.
Don’t give up I got married at 45
God is good all the time and He makes all things beautiful in His own time
I got married at age 58
Tasha sang that one line of “Break Every Chain” and I immediately felt it! Yes, there should be an expectation that God is going to move.
Tasha Cobbs Leonard you’re so beautiful! Every time I see or hear you my spirit smile!

Tasha and Laterras I was not trying to be crying on a Monday 🥹🥹🥹 this convo was everything !!! GOD is sooo good to His children 🙌🏾
Oh My God!!!!This is the most heart felt interview I have ever felt. I could literally feel God in all that Tasha shared wirh us your audience I sat here crying and laughing the whole.time ❤❤❤🙏🏾
this is such a precious interview, Laterras is being ministered to so purposely in a way he needed. 💙
This was so heartwarming and confirming. God is so intentional, and we can hear God if we learn to be still and block out the noise!
Only God. So many moments i had to stop and start . Just recalling conversations with my dad before he passed. Only God . Such a blessing. Thank you
Man this was sooo good! Love Tasha even more. This podcast is such a blessing. I’m 44 years old and been engaged twice. God said they were not it… I have no regrets. I’m patiently waiting for my Father, and in the meantime becoming a wife in God’s image. I will also have a child. 🙏🏽
Such a blessing to hear from TCL. Hope your “Future Wifey” is listening -she’s already our favorite person.
Laterals R. Whitfield!! It's Tasha 😀🎉 I am blown away and looking forward to listening - right now!
I’ve heard Tasha’s testimony about their baby journey before and I cry every time ….God is a miracle working God 🙌🙌🙌
My God, yes break every chain get me everytime❤
Powerful ❤
Listen I'm over 40 and I had a plan on when I was going to get married, now I'm sitting back and pray and watching God work.
Hallelujah ❤❤❤ Thank you Man of God for your choice to obey God and start this ministry!!!
Revelations 12:9-11

I 'am getting ready is what I played on repeat during the pandemic.
My Lord I'm in tears!! 🙌🏾 God Is So Good!!!!! Your Episodes are Blessing Me!!! That You Laterras!!
I want to say this may be one of my favorite episodes. There were some things I absolutely needed to hear. Thank you Laterras for having Tasha present.
Pre ordering Tasha book now..I've cried my contacts out. Another powerful interview laterras
Yessss!!! The guest list gets better and better ❤🔥
Man this hit me soo hard for so many different reasons. But as a fellow daddies girl who also lost her father and holds dear to all the life lessons he taught her, I will most definitely be buying this book. Can’t wait to read it, and absorb some of the wisdom your father left with you. 🙏🏾
My heart right now😣😣😣oh Jesus🙏 I am so blessed by this episode. All of it until the end.❤
This interview was such a blessing! I laughed and I cried! Our God is so awesome!!!
I cried and i remembered the goodness of God while listening to this. Thank you both ❤
This episode gets me bursting out in worship. This was good!
I love Tasha Cobbs Leonard! I saw her minister in Detroit, Michigan and when I tell you the Holy Spirit filled that room.... I will definitely be reading her new book.
I’m not a Nicki fan at all but to hear her speak on her relationship with Christ is amazing!!! Literally dropped a tear
😂😂😂 Nikki doesn't have a relationship with God, she has a relationship with money.
@lovingme1st973 exactly! Let's not be fooled by a few words and ignore everything else they say AND do.
I love Tasha Cobbs and all of her music is 🔥🔥 for the glory of God. Thank you Laterras for this amazing episode ❤️❤❤
Why I immediately start crying when she started singing there is power in the name of Jesus 😩😩😩😩😩😩
Thank you Tasha Cobbs for your transparency and vulnerability❤ I love how Laterras is always his authentic self, he expresses with laughter and emotions and its just always refreshing to witness a black man authentically him❤
To God be the glory
I have to START celebrating MYSELF! I never deserving or financially able . BUT I always seem to find a way to celebrate everyone else
Hearing her story is so inspiring to me ! I have been in this relationship with my Boyfriend for 8 years going on 9 years and I am 30. I have been pushing for marriage. But I had to think it’s maybe not my time yet or
Maybe it’s not
Him yet or maybe I am just not wifey material yet in god’s eyes. I just need to be more patient and work on BECOMING A WIFE ❤ !
9:18 "Before I can think of logical reasons to give God a no, I just go ahead and say yes."
Goals🙌🏾
OMG- Tasha , I remembered seeing her in Jacksonville in one of her concerts, I am feeling the same moment, I felt then. My hair is raising up , what an anointing on this woman of God. She is so real, so down to earth. I love you Tasha. My prayers go out for you, stay blessed TCL. My break through came through as I heard the song Break Every Chain 2013 in a Brooklyn Church. I could remember the pastor saying you have been going through for so long and now God is setting you free. I was set free that year to return back home to do God’s work . Thank you God for Tasha. Love all her songs
Bless her and her family.
