I don't get her...She obviously still had feelings for Max for years but she keeps marrying and getting pregnant by all these other guys, yet still goes back to Max anyways. Why doesn't she spare Martin the heartache and just stay with Max then?? They can both be miserable together and stop playing other people.
She's BEEN damaged since childhood and hasn't worked on herself at all that's why she's always conflicted between choosing a normal life and Max, she knows life wouldn't work with Max and it would feel wrong after all she's been through and lost. She tries the opposite and that doesn't work either, she's just damaged in general really

But Martin was right not to just take her back. She was about to run off with Max before Tanya told her what he did to Steven. Max would have abandoned her. Why choose him over Martin?
