This is the best way to build a balsa glider, because the finished result is a very light and resistant balsa glider.
ABOUT THE DESIGN:
Its ideal flight time is about 30~40sec (no wind) .
but if there's ascend air, it can fly few minutes. This is one of the best catapult balsa gliders. THIS IS NOT MY DESIGN, this balsa glider was designed by m1a2tank

Excellent design. I used it for my aircraft stability project and flew about 25 meters using a catapult to launch it. Beating the second highest who flew a distance of 15 meters. Thanks man. This video was a life saver
Yea well I had some other design criterion for which I had to incorporate payload. So that's why the main objective was to glide as far as possible with the payload provided.
I think that the wood used for the wing is too thick! It reduces the flight time as it’s heavier, anyways I love the design! Keep it up
Great plane! try a little under camber sanded into the wing then cut it and add the reinforcement to the LE. Light is right and a little lighter it could fly indoors... HAVE FUN!

I want to learn everything about chuck gliders. All the science behind them, the physics , aerodynamics and all that. Could someone please suggest me some reliable resources?
Which blade did u use for cutting and what kind of glue is used ? And how to know how much do I have to sand for getting the dihedral angle ? Plus why did you attach the carbon rod on one side ? Wont it affect the C.G of the glider ??

I don't know if this glider is large enough to justify using an arrow shaft, but I've seen them used on some of the larger designs. Arrows are made from aluminum, fiberglass, and quickly replacing both is carbon fiber. They're all quite light however.
