This must be the technique they use in Fast n Furious when they shift 59 times on endless airfields.

The bump shift is actually a very old technique from over 20+ years ago. In underground 2, getting perfect shifts also gave you an acceleration boost. People would adjust the gear ratios, so 5th and 6th were either close together or far apart. Quickly upshifting and downshifting would give you a crazy amount of speed, then downshift to neutral to avoid blowing up your engine and just coast at high speed

So this technique is basically Need For Speed World multishift that was used 10-15 years ago. I guess some things never change
Multi shift? Is that where you double perfect shift? I thought that only worked on from a dig to 2 seconds

To be honest I found the new hud kinda stupid and inconsistent aswell and then I notice that the needle turns green right on the perfect shift (even if its not in that area yet due to geometry)
Yeah the UI is awful and I hate the exaggerated camera shake when shifting

It's a damn gradient....the needle turns green, and then there's a damn icon in the middle of your screen to tell you when to shift as well, which is very much like UG1, UG2 & MW with the icon being exactly like the last 2. What else do you want? A voice prompt?
I swear y'all just make up scenarios in your head all the time and roll with it.
The small tach literally gives us our "perfect launch zone" yet people look at the exaggerated speedo for launches and overrev like unbound isn't almost 2 yrs old at this point, whaat? This game has it's own perfect luanch mechanism.
Small tach for perfect launches, big green needle and an icon in the middle of your screen make things even more obvious for shifts. Your focus is gonna be on the middle of your screen. That's why there's literally also an icon there as well, if your peripheral can't catch the needle.
I could give this to a kid back in '05 and they'd figure this out in 5 minutes, tops. Seconds if they'd played a few races in the game before.

Everyone complains about the hud and I do aswell, its nice that we got it back like we had it in the old games but it doesn't work properly.
In this BS hud you just get the green straight up and it feels inconsistent on the perfect shifts if you actually want to switch gears based on that.
The needle in the left it's also inconsistent but at least you know the perfect shift hits when the needle turns green (and the needle turns green even before it gets to the perfect shift area, which again, is very inconsistent but at least following the needle color makes u hit the perfect shifts)
I love the game and I love every patch, little complaints like this actually help the devs with feedback to make the game even better, it doesn't take too long to make hud adjustments based on the feedback you receive from the playerbase

I'll just summarise.
- Use the outer zone
- It's 10x easier using the n33dle colour change. Literally. You don't need 1ms perfection.
-Use the zone to know when it's gonna go green. Don't be stubborn pls, just change the habit.
-The inner zone is parallel to the tach n33dle instead of being in line the tach lines within the circle/arc. N33dle being a triangle made the zone a bit off-angle.
-This was done due to the fact that being a triangle, the lower section would enter the zone before the "tip" which is what would actually denotes if it's "in the zone", like it would as a straight line or in every tachometer ever. Use the tip fam (sounds so weird 😂)
-If you're gonna stress inconsistencies on the shift alone, state it first?
-Hope this helps. Pls, use the tip.
I can assure you "Everyone" looks at the tip & outer part of the zone for shift and not the inner zone. It would still work, but your brain is clearly mixing both up and seeing that as an inconsistency. Use part of the triangle that crosses the inner circle if you use the inner circle, and use the tip if you use the outer. I know which is easier...just like in every car made by man, with a slightly triangular tach n33dle.
This might still get censored cuz of the word n33dle, but whatever. I tried

A tip I came with for myself maybe woth mentioning in a future video; I'm placing written notes on the back windshields of all my Drag builds like "Perfect shift at 7900rpm 3 gears" this way don't matter the class car or build I don't have to keep every shift point or how many gears that car has all on my mind!
You need to finish 10 x B class in a Ford to unlock this Boss Mustang. Trouble is, almost no one wants to join a B class race.
I've had fantastic luck with one of your old Lotus Exige builds in S+ Drag. Its so light and so juiced that it gets to its top speed so damn quick. It doesn't quite have the top-end for the long races but it slays the 1/4 Mile runs. The Boss is most definitely faster overall though.

So in my experience, the needle on the left is pretty accurate with the slower vehicles. It is completely inaccurate on S+ vehicles. I do think the needle on the left will be fixed at some point for all vehicles, as some major NFS community members have already pointed this out and I’m sure the Kaizen team will see it.
Interesting, I thought having traction on would help with the launch, as it would in normal races, but I guess not. Thanks for sharing!

There's no advantage to using it in the Bugatti.
The top speed in the game is 245mph. The Bugatti is one of the only cars that can get there and hold its speed.
So because the Bugattis already at top speed there's no point to bump shifting or using boost.
Can you test Mercury Cougar 1200hp/1200Nm in S/S+?

Wondering what the records are for drag races at s+? I got a 13.63, 13.73 and 13.75 for the half mile
Bit late, but through trial and practice, I've found the Beetle to be a pretty competitive car at drag racing at B class

What you said about the 5 to 6 gears aint always true the 67 camaro with the w16 engine you want it a 2 gears and it dustes anything best for A+ and S
When I was in my charger I just burned it all the way into the red area and then I let it slowly go back to the green zone and I still got two bars😂 I don't think it matters how much you shred the tires, as long as you are in the green zone when it's over.

Don't touch the steering. It'll drive by itself.
You might also increase your dead zone, the controller could be registering inputs you don't want.
This stuff doesn’t work below S+ lol even S and A+ it’s pretty useless cuz what good is burst nos gonna do when you’re cruising at top speed for the next 15 seconds? You’re just slowing down to burst back to where you were already at
In both B class and A class this is the strategy to use with the Ford Raptor. It's legit how to get on WR pace

Question I have is, certain cars just bounce off of the rev limit for like the first 2-3 gears. Do different engine swaps change the rev limit? Just really getting into the game and I can perfect launch on like an R34 GTR and immediately the rpm’s are maxed and same for second gear. Where as something like the dark horse just shifts perfectly.
Each engine has its own redline

I don’t remember the name of the Mercedes but it’s the car you win from the rapper guy I switched to the v10 all elite all grip says 9 sec quarter mile but I know it’s faster than that I never lost a race with it and just started playing again few days ago

You weren't kidding Alex ❤🎉 I had a Mercedes g wagon, YES YOU HEARD ME. A G WAGON, IN S-CLASS AND I WAS SMOKING PEOPLE SURPRISINGLY 😂. It's probably because I was pushing over 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 torque and it can only reach 176. I'm pretty sure I got it in the 6-speed because 7-speed just took too long.

That sweet spot for perfect shifting, its still there if you fastly go back into the previous gear.

I've been using that scuffed Inifinity build for S class and it's been walking everything I've come across so far as it sits at 236mphSeems like we want a car with a top gear that isn't needed but can be abused. I wish we had more info on where other racers were. Being able to see them in real-time if they're reeling you in/you're walking away would be super nice.
I believe the 69 charger can be built pretty damn good in A+ and S. Came across an unbeatable one yesterday but I've forgotten the

I was expecting something wacky with a mechanic made by a skeleton team and that wasn’t planned in the game from the start.

It is whacky and unplayable dude is playing bots every drag race I've done I've been auto driven by the new shitty mechanic into parked cars because it drives wheres it wants too on its own
