Important info for the PS5 players:
If you dont feel comfortable with the default buttons for changing the gears up/down you can easily replace em in the system menu.
Just go to the settings->accessibillity->controller and switch the buttons to these you feel comfortable with:)

I play w my wheel, I know it not good in nfs unbound but I’m used to it, bc all my cars are AWD & front wheel I also play on manual too. I like down shifting to make a smooth turn, my skill came from playing Rally 2.0 too much😅 💯🔥
@@stonergee420nfs unbound is the one game I don’t play on wheel cause I can’t to manual with clutch. When I am playing on games that have m/c then I rev match when downshifting

When i made this change myself (when i started following you and saw the acceleration difference from auto to manual, i said "oh i have to try this out") i couldnt pre shift and i had to search like one hour to find out that i had to turn off the auto reverse option
I almost gave up for that stupid setting xD
I also have to say that i discovered the redline tech in the first one or two days of the release ( im a fan of racing games from like forevah (pre PSX) so thats why )and after i saw a video about it and i though aaaahhhh there goes my advantage hahahaha
My times are not the best ( well online 99% i finish 1st this matters haha :P ) but i am really having fun racing and now with this community is awesome

I’ve played manual for at least 5 days and I was struggling in terms of shifting, most of the times my eyes are glued on the rev meter, it makes me not as focused, I’m more focused in automatic.

Could u make a build with the Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster (2019) in a class pls?
this game forces you to have to look at the rev gauge because the engine noises get so muffled by the effects, particularly nitrous
I've always been able to drive manual in forza but not need for speed I'm slowly playing manual more and more. But mostly still auto but hopefully soon I'll get to the point where I don't want auto anymore
Playing like this is crazy to me, first time seeing someone use the stick to manual shift
NO NO NO. Bumpers to shift my man. NEVER ever used anything else.

I think you forgot to mention that pre shifting won’t work if you change cars during playlists. I noticed it does work if I pick the same car for the second and third race.

Genuinely curious though, how does that create crashes vs your one finger method?
I wish they'd give semi-auto as an option so you can have automatic but change gears if you wish too

Thank you for the guide been really usefull. I know its a stupid question and its been quite a long time just asking because I am having a issue with pre-shifting gears hope that u can help me. Just before the race start I cant shift to the gear I want I am on ps5. Do you know what can be the problem. Do I have to press anything else? Thanks in advance :)
They removed the ability to pre-shift in the vol #3 update and so that is a thing of the past unfortunately.

Guys practice quick reflexes if you crash and get stuck in a race and need to reverse 😂 down shift completely to reverse. Also some cars like the Ferrari evo like to stay in 5th 6th and 7th for the whole run.

Nope. They patched that out in VOL#3
It won't let me launch in another gear other than 1st gear in VOL 3. and I have it set to manually shift to R?
They patched that in volume 3 we can no longer pre shift.
I have a question. I'm using ps5 and I can't do advance shift in manual. I already set the auto reverse off but still I can't do advance shift. Is it only for PC version?
Pre shift was patched out of the Game with VOL#2

The devs removed that back in VOL#3
Think they need to fix the auto reverse so that you can pre shift and it not cancel. Was like that in heat could pre shift my rsr into 3rd
I don't know if they did or not I'll look into that.
But u can turn off this option.

It doesn't preshift. No matter auto reverse on or off. It just don't want to work. Any idea?
Preshift was patched out in VOL2 it's gone forever

well i get good lap times in mannual in B class but as the gear increases and speed i m just unable to handle the car can help.
i have been practicing for weeks now still struggle any tips.
Some cars are easier to drive than others.
Maybe try another car in whatever class you are struggling with.
Everyone has a preference.
i also had a doubt like i have put the auto reverse as off still unable to preshift at the start of the race is there a timing to do that or am i doing smthg wrong?
@@Adityax4747 pre shift was patched out of the game when Vol#2 came out.

@@alexcornnut That’s awesome! I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I try my best in the online side of things. I been running manual since I started online. Even though it’s a bit hard due to my condition I still make it work. I’d love to race with you guys sometime.

You don't seem to use downshifting to slow down going into a corner.
That's because I don't use the transmission for engine breaking in this game.
You never did a Vulcan build tho
It's S Plus you just slap on Elite everything and you're good.
Also, being a musician with perfect pitch helps so much with this

@@alexcornnut that is actually super badass. Nice! Since I have you here, is there any recommended order of car upgrades for NFS Unbound? I'm on week 2 story mode on highest difficulty and it's a little rough on some days. Much appreciated!
The manual transmission in this game is so fake and works so weird and unrealistic, especially when you're downshifting. Somehow the automatic transmission drives way faster than the manual mode, even if your shifting is faster and consistent you lose speed just because you're in manual. Ive tried both and its just so inconsistent the way the speed is shown.
Manual is faster and makes setting up Yellow boost better.
All track records were set with manual transmission.
