Plate is a great option. I usually just tap some threads into the two vent holes. Put some crank case sealant and a copper washer on some 1/2 inch bolts and screw them into the case. Works great and never worry about those little O-rings going bad on the plate. Great vid! Keep them coming!

I am definitely going to try that on my other ski! Thanks for sharing.
Wow this drain failure cause my ski to loose all power after half throttle?
Is it possible to apply this mod, without removing the engine or exhaust?
I don’t think you can do it with the exhaust in place you could try but it would be difficult to get to
@@BASgarage Yup - impossible with exhause - so, removed exhaust - so now looks challenging but possible.
Still not the easiest thing to do once the exhaust is removed. Had to use mirrors and extra hands…took about 2.5 hours.
Yup, I did also with mirror - do-able [barely!] - but very tedious and time consuming.
What’s the benefits of adding this
It basically eliminates the possibility of the crank case drain, not sealing and allowing the engine to run lean (vacuum leak)
