Wow that Meijer looks so nice and organized unlike a lot of targets and such especially in the school supplies area! I don't think we have Meijer in New England :( My college starts after labor day but I did take summer classes :)

My dog just ate every ink joy pen I own! Guess I’ll run to Meijer to pick up more 🙃 We go back to school August 28, and the kids come September 3rd!
I use those little lights too. I use one for a "don't interrupt me teaching small group" and I also have a pink one and a blue one. I use those for bathroom lights. The kids flip it on when they go to the bathroom. That way they only go if the light is off. I never have to answer the can I go to the bathroom question. They are magnetic but I use the bathroom lights with Command strips on the wall by the door. Worked fantastically well.
For me the best time to get the best shopping deals is when the "back to school" season is over at the stores.
Since I don't have my own classroom yet I donate whatever I find to a nonprofit organization.

PuttingFourthEffort Nope, we send home a verrry basic school supply list if anything (last year I didn’t send one and this year I’m only asking that they bring pencils, tissues, and a reusable water bottle if they are able). Other than that, either the school or the teacher provides it!
I love the papermate inkjoy! They’re perfect for taking notes! I always prefer to study when things are fun, bright colors. My college starts back August 12... can’t wait 😊

My son is going into 2nd grade this year and last year he was in the top reading bracket. He was reading level j books. I was looking for books that would be suitable for him to have at home for homework and just for fun. We have the magic tree house books now but I wondered about the dog man books? They look super fun! Do you think a level j reader would be able to handle that book?

I got an LED light switch and I'm going to use it in the morning when I'm doing all the housekeeping items(attendance, lunch count, etc) and when the lights on no one can come up to "bother me". I got a light up ice sundae(from Target) and when we "Chill with a Good Book" during our silent reading time the light will be on. I'm stuck on a title for this and the one I mentioned was all I came up with. Do you or your followers have an suggestions?
I wish we had a store like that here in Louisiana. In my district the teachers return Monday and our kiddos dont come until Thursday

I' m heading back to school for education in ELA. You gave me an idea of doing interactive notebooks with my students. Because I enjoyed them in high school Biology. Which I might change from ELA to Science I don't know yet. I plan doing teacher youtube as well.
