Chiptune feels to me like the most pure kind of music that exists. Its got a smooth beat, and powerful treble. This shit makes my heart swell and is in no way lesser than any other genre.
This makes me long for the days of genesis and streets of rage, the long hours spent replaying the dr wily stage of megaman 2, the sleepless nights playing einhander. I miss good game music but chip tunes are my red october!
how can u get this sound im cheking for it the main synth u kinda reverb it on a good way sounding so fine ... im using magical8bit tri and 8drums synth kits
Jaxcompot actually, it IS Reverb, gates are used to lower the signal coming from frequencies below a given threshold. (in other words gates are normally used to reduce unnecessary noise)
wow.. what mellow beats i remember in the old days games had music that put u in a trance and wud entice u to play nonstop whether the graphix wer gud or trash a good beat and story made a game a master piece... the best music of course was dkc series snes... u cnt say mch abt new games they just hav action sounds or sumfin mgs for psx was tge only one i can think of that made gud game music
i really recomend you to start with renoise. it looks difficult but when you get a hang of it then you just need to download som samples and synths and start makeing som awsome chiptunes :D
@mager56723 A good way would be to download some of the chiptunes here, open the XMs in Milkytracker (milkytracker. org) and just study how they are done. You can edit them, play around with them, save the samples and use them for your own tracks etc. It all needs a lot of patience and practice of course. There are some tutorials at milkytracker. org and you will find some video tutorials here on YT. Hope that helps a little bit.
@DireVulcan mp3 em man. It's nothing. Holler, I can assist. Also real convenient how TheRealBlackspawn has all the "artists" and song names.. I didn't know there was a chiptune community, in fact I just learnt now that's what keygenerator music is called, a chiptune. Good shit.
@DireVulcan Check out Virt, he makes incredible stuff. Not even kidding! I made a chiptune-ish song. I didn't use a tracker or anything though, but it's kinda half chiptune half dance and it's super catchy :P
chiptunes are the sounds ordinary soundchips from old consoles or vinatge computer like the commodore C64 make. no samples, everything analog. its great cuz of the nostalgic u get when listening. if u have no idea what i'm talking about, u should look for something different to work with.
Hey! I've been trying out a combination of Chiptune-esque sound and live/edited drum beats. It's a bit harder than your average chiptune, but if you're interested I'd love you to check it out on my channel! PS - Biohazard is the first chiptune I'd ever heard. Immediately hooked! Check out dubmood too!
I'm going to shamelessly suggest you checkout Zabutom if you are a fan of chipmusic. Why shamelessly you ask? Well, he happens to be my younger brother, so there :P
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

@TheRealBlackspawn i started with a little programm called MUSAGI

Amazing compilation, just one problem the first track isn't long enough! XD this could go on for a couple hours and I'd be happy!
Beautiful and catchy. Reverb ftw! or in this case gated i think its called :)
Jaxcompot actually, it IS Reverb, gates are used to lower the signal coming from frequencies below a given threshold. (in other words gates are normally used to reduce unnecessary noise)

biohazard sounds like '90 pop, except it's not bad.
@TheRealBlackspawn hey man i think you might like 'Untold Story' by 'Sycamore Drive.' It's royalty free, search it on google and see what you think!
I’m here cuz i was watching gundam review playlist
Guys, if you want MP3, check the description text. You might find a link. ;)
It's every chiptune vid. "240p for extra chiptune" lolololol
Does anybody but me actually do it?
@lentejTV9 look in the description
MP3 Links dont work? :(
@fulkinghell careful though, cuz personally my nipples hurt when I twist them.

Biohazard is awesome. Must have been a bitch to program though. So much detail.

You should look into SIDABITBALL, he's epic.
