I used this video as my starting point when figuring out my whole house filter installation August 2020. Then researched other parts such as how to cut and connect to the well pipe since its my private well. Bought the Ispring WSP50 spin down filter as the first filter in line which is 50 microns and found out that it is too fine a mesh for my well water that has fine silt that clogs the screen. I am waiting for my 200 micron replacement mesh with Siliphos to arrive $20 replacement part. The spin down filter is very fast to disassemble and clean, gets a toothbrush cleaning in the sink with a little water. Also installed the Ispring ED2000 electronic descaler which is releasing lots of junk from my circa 2012 pressure tank which had no filtering previously. Learned about PEX pipe from this video and now have all the tools. I have a big clear filter after the pressure tank to catch the descaler gunk and sediment being released from the tank. It comes out in bursts occasionally ...The clear filter with $15 (paper replacement elements) protects the much more expensive filter after it. In total my setup is WSP Spindown filter/Clear paper filter/Whole house structured water device/ED2000 Descaler/Pressure Tank/ Clear filter / Carbon filter. The original video is a good start to learn this process, but it is a learning experience to complete the project. Making the water really clean caused the under sink hot water valves in the bathrooms to start failing since they didn't have any silt to hold them together anymore. Strange but true, those are now replaced with Sharkbite flexible hoses.
What filter did you used after the pressure tank
Awesome job ... you should teach. The tips and tricks are key
It would be helpful to have a video with some practical advice on the filter replacement process. Installing the filters is quite easy, as shown here, but removing them can be a different story. When the filter housings are full of water they're a lot heavier, of course. Also, even when depressurized, there is still water in the piping, above the level of the housing's rim. This means water begins to spill out and spatter around as soon as the housing is loosened a little, and continues to flow out as the housing is turned. Then, at the moment the housing comes free from its thread, still full of water, its weight makes it almost impossible to avoid spilling even more water. Then the housing has to be carried to a drain. I'd suggest the location of the filter system should be chosen with all this in mind. It would be good to have a laundry tub and/or floor drain nearby, and with no walls or floor coverings that you don't want to get wet.

great video. I'm getting ready to install a whole house filter soon and this helps a lot
water softener and 1x10 carbon filter should go in your next house takes care of it all unless there tannins shulfer nitrates or arsenic
I'm confused. I have already purchased this system but I haven't installed it yet. Is the Arrow on the spindown filter in the direction of the flow of water or where the water is entering the system? The instructions that come with the unit do not mention this... Thanks for your help
Hi Life As A Human,
The arrow on the WSP series spin down filter shows the direction the water should flow through the system. The inlet should be on the side opposite of the direction flow arrow, and the outlet should be the side of the arrow showing the direction the water should flow. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our office at 678-261-7611.
Thank you,

I am planning to install ispring water system for whole house can I ask few questions ?
1, If we install spring WSP, can we install two ( 50 and 100 ) ? if you recommend to install two, which two combination do you recommend ?
2, For all the connector, can we or do you recommend we use sharkBite push to connect ? it seems more easier for the beginner
3, For Pipe, do you recommend that we use PEX or Copper ?
4, for our house, the main water switch on/off area, there is no drainage , in our case, can we still install the ispring system ?
5, As I can see other UA-cam, they will choose install additional pressure gauge, do you recommend we add this into your system ? ( May I ask what is normal Psi or Bar for the normal water pressure )
6, After install the whole house water system, do you recommend that we install another ispring RCC7P-Ak-6Stage under our kitchen sink ?
Thank you so much for your help.
Marvin
No reply to these interesting questions. I'd be interested in the answers too.
I have an existing iron filter, sediment filter and water softener. Where in the line should this filtration system go? I’m trying to eliminate a very pungent sulfur odor in my well water.
Hi there. The order should be sediment filter, WGB32B-KS (www.123filter.com/ac/index.php?rt=product/product&product_id=831), water softener, and iron filter.
Excellent. Any consideration to securing the spin-down filter to the wall? -- Or is it 100% fine allowing it to hang fully off the PEX?
Hi John. The spin down filter comes with an optional support bracket. But it's also ok to let it hang fully off the PEX. If you have more questions, please give us a call at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST) or email us at support@123filter.com. We are happy to help!
I got rid of UV Lamp in favor of new UV LED system due to mercury and other issues. The lamp keeps pipes always hot and your ends on inlet/outlet ports need to be steel or copper to a certain length before it meets the PVC, otherwise it may burst PEX piping. I will likely post a video of my new setup soon which is 8 stage system with Acuva UV LED unit.
Is your T connect starting point before or after your main line shut off valve? I cant tell since it did not show behind that tank.
Hi there. We need more details to give proper suggestions. Please call us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST) and talk to one of our support rep.
Very nice Video!!!!! Thank you . The only thing is you are not suppose to touch UV bulb with your hands. you have to use gloves. when oils from your fingers get on the bulb it reduces the life of the bulb. Otherwise nice work!!!!!!
Great video, Thanks.
I have a well system at home. I don't really have a problem with chlorine. My main problem is tannins in the water and a very notice sulphur smell. Which unit would you recommend?
Hi John Faur,
We would recommend the WGB32B system that has one sediment filter, and 2 CTO carbon block filters for the Nitrates which cause the sulfur smell. Or we would recommend the WGB32BM which incorporates a specialty Iron/Manganese filter for the tannins. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you,
iSpring Water Systems LLC
CS1 thank you. I appreciate your quick response. Should this be installed before or after my water softener?
Hi John Faur,
We normally recommend the filter be installed before the softener but the system will work installed after or before the softener.
Thank you,
iSpring Water Systems LLC
Carbon black filter can we put minaral in stone?
Hi Ahmed, iSpring does not offer a filter like this at the moment. These are called calcite filters or neutralizers. It's also better to use a large backflushing tank when this is necessary - well water pH lower than 6.5. You also need the proper recipe of calcite and Corosex (Magnesium Oxide).
is the spindown filter directional? what is the arrow for on the housing?
yes they are directional.
my whole house water filter was leak. there was no pressure relief button. it was impossible to take them off because water pressure inside water filter.
my house lost a lot water pressure when I used this filter. my incoming water 80 psi. after finishing installed whole house water filter and used it water psi dropped to 20 psi.
I need help. my water pipe 3/4 in thanks

I'm interested in the Whole House Water Filter System. Do you have any distributors and provide installation for Florida?

@@iSpringWaterSystems Thanks. What's the warranty on your system?
@@fritzj6803 The system comes with a one-year warranty. Extended warranty is available upon registration here: www.123filter.com/ost/open.php?topicId=12
Should you install this before or after a water softener system?
Hi Elton. We recommend installing WSP sediment filter before a water softener, WGB whole house water filter and UV light after a water softener.
iSpring Water Systems thank you
I wonder how are these big system comparing to something like berkey filter as far as filtering?

What was the model for the system use here? Is this will work for iron (my big issue). How often will need to change them?
Hi Axel. Our system WGB32BM is specially designed to remove iron from your water. However, it has a capacity limit of 3 ppm for iron. We recommend getting your water tested before purchasing our product. You can find more product information here: www.amazon.com/iSpring-WGB32BM-Filtration-Sediment-Manganese/dp/B01FI3BLYM
Hello There: Yes I like your home water filter system that you install it at your family home. And I don't have well water where I live at. I live in the mud district they take care the water to my home. So I would like to know if I can used the same water system that you install in your family home too. I live in Houston Tx.Oh could you tell me how much this water system cost?$$Can I stall it in my garage or the outside wall next to a water faucets where hook the garden hose.So I hope to hear from you about this okMy name is: MichaelFrom Houston Tx
Hi Michael Shane,
The systems for the 3 canister systems is normally around $500.00 USD. Yes you can install in the garage or utility room, as it depends on where the water comes into your home.
Thank you,
iSpring Water Systems LLC
How often you’ll need to replace the filters ?
Hi Julio. We recommend changing the filters every 6-12 months, depending on your water quality and water usage.
Do you have to have the UV Water Sterilizer or a softener?
Hi,
The UV sterilizer is only needed if you have an issue with micro-organisms in your source water and is an add-on to our whole House Water Systems. A softener would be needed if you have hardness to your water.
Thank you,
iSpring Water Systems LLC
How long do the filters last?
Hi John Z,
We normally recommend changing the filters every 6 months but depending on the quality of your source water, you can adjust the filter changing schedule to best suit your needs.
Thank you,
iSpring Water Systems LLC
Have to disagree on the doubling up of pex clamps here, the nipple fittings used clearly do not have sufficient length to support two crimps side-by-side and could be damaged or deformed by installing a 2nd clamp near the end.
I was wondering if 2 clamps would be too much.
Did you use Sharkbite fittings? @1:16
Hi N Holt. Thank you for your comment. No those are not Sharkbite fittings, but traditional and quick connect fittings.
I have that chicken!!
Why wouldn't he put all of this before the stories tank? That way when the water comes out of the tank, the pressure is set.
Hi Patrick. It can be done either way. For some houses, the pressure tank was installed at the top of the well and then the house was 30-50' away. Sometimes tanks contribute taste and carbon filtration after the tank can help with this. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). Filtering your toilet water and even your shower water to that level of filtration seems like a waste of the filters and money. It would make more sense to have a system like that under your sink for drinking water. Then you could install a more primitive whole house system which doesn't filter it to that level of clarity. You would save money.
Not if your toilet is getting black from iron and manganese
@@MsRoxyPup my toilet turned black but I don't think it was the water
Having clean shower water is not a waste.
