Second Episode of the New Bosch Legacy Series Big Disappointment
You know what would have been nice? It would have been nice if the people who made the new season of Bosch Legacy had taken into account what the viewers, the fans of the show would probably have liked to have seen at the end of the second episode. I'm not going to "spoil" the ending, but it does not end the way a FAN, or even an average viewer, would have liked. OH, HELL, I WILL SPOIL IT! Maddie gets kidnapped; the kidnapper does it for reasons that are only hinted at; the kidnapper thinks he holds all the cards and is going to walk away with impunity; Bosch rescues his daughter; BUT, we never see the resolution. My wife and I were watching this thing, thinking, "At the end, Maddie is going to walk into the cell where they're holding the kidnapper and we're going to get to see the look on his face when he realizes his evil plan has been foiled." BUT NOPE. She just leaves the hospital only a little banged up from her ordeal and that's it. Nothing about the lawyer whom the kidnapper hired who clearly has some beans to spill. Nothing about the cult the kidnapper was raised in that drove him crazy. Nothing about what happens to the kidnapper. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing of what a viewer would want to see.
I realize that Lance Reddick's death must have thrown the production into disarray. They probably had to reshoot some scenes. But this is the writing we're talking about. Why would they do it this way? Oh, well, you don't need to know what the kidnapper had to say about Maddie being rescued. Her rescue would have been, as far as the audience is concerned, the kidnapper's punishment. As far as our emotions are concerned, he might as well have walked away with impunity, because there is no punishment and there is no resolution. I've got a bad feeling about the remaining episodes.

Did you watch all 6? Are you happy now?

@@mad-official As of this writing, Maxine, I've only seen the first 4. Unfortunately, I found nothing of what I was looking for in Maddie's confrontation of Dockweiler in court. The rest of the overarching story, however, is heating up. Here's hoping that the two plainclothes cops who pulled Chandler over get the comeuppance they deserve. I'll be sure to let you know.
